I honestly love this! Your wife told the real reasons why iOS and android are different. Yes, the specs on phines matter to some, but for regular day to day users its rhe functionality of apps that matters. I was a ride or die android girl, then tried apple and liked it as well. I ended up switching back to android when the s23 ultra came out, and i love this phone, but i really hate how social media apps aren't the best on android. Instagram especially. But since im not an influencer, it doesn't bother me as much.
This was an amazing way to completely remove the tech-reviewer bias from the usual "iOS vs Android" debate and it's now my favorite comparison of both systems and what I'll show my friends who are curious about switching to either one. Great video!

Same here, I got my S24 Ultra last week and it's a huge upgrade from my iPhone 13 Pro Max. I'm really enjoying all the new features it has. I hope iPhone users will appreciate this beast too!
as someone who doesn't use social media like that i never noticed these things so the Samsung has always been my favorite but i can totally understand why she would choose iPhone in this case. she did point out some pretty important things that understandably shouldn't be an issue cause its something that could be fixed by devs but are still there and just make usage that more of a inconvenience. great video. big thumbs up from me
yeah, but if you're using android then it's an android problem. People switch to iPhone and the problem is gone, so that's why it's frustrating. Android devs don't care/get paid for optimalise apps

This was a terrific review. Your wife is fantastic. And it is my exact experience every time I switch to android. There are just some quality of life issues regarding app functionality and apple integration that I can't get past. When you first start using an android phone, it's fun to go through all the exciting features and customizations, but within a couple months, you realize those little differences aren't what you use your phone for 90% of the time.
Android only has app problem of lower quality because there so many Android phones appel is only one type of phone just new models every year but still Android it better
Wow what a great video! Perfectly demonstrates why some people are drawn to certain phone brands. I never knew that Instagram was different on iPhone. I have a S23 but I don't post on social media, and if I do I never really care how my posts come out. So it was interesting to see how the IG app is tuned to Iphone more than samsung. It really showcases how some phones are more attuned to certain audiences than others. Adding the Samsung Flip to the mix also showed how the Flip isn't really designed for people who are posting constantly but more for people who maybe watch more movies, and just want a easy to access phone for basic needs. While the S24 Ultra is for people who may need a portable laptop in their pocket for work or other things. Such a unique video that showcases the strengths and weaknesses of all 3 phones in a real world setting.
Absolutely brilliant video, I've had samsung ever since they launched the s series, and I've tried different phones on the side, but I'm always drawn back to what I love so I get it when people say they can't leave iPhone, it's not always about apple is better, it's just about what people love and what suits there daily needs. What one person loves another may dislike as everyone is different. Your wife gave it a good shot, and in moderation, she loved Android, and that's what android does it shows that there is something to like for everyone.
Wholesome and informative as always! So happy to see the iPhone vs Android debate being discussed in a healthy way and talking objectively about both pros and cons of each phone.
Wow I didn't expect a detailed difference on Instagram versions. She did a good job noticing that, even the how thumbnails are displayed! You know they have people in Meta assigned to that job, quality. And they don't do anything about it.
Would definitely say that your wife gave android a more than fair attempt with using android, and it was interesting hearing about struggles your wife had with the "best android phone" currently on the market. the size complaint was also quite surprising, because a phone being "too big" was something i never really took into consideration as I have quite large hands lol. Also I would 100% be interested into hearing why you think that the iPhone is a much better work phone than an android, especially that S24U. would have 100% thought that the, larger screen real-estate and pen for signing documents would tip the scales towards the s24.
You're right. On paper the S24 Ultra spanks the heck out of the iPhone and it should be better for work, but I'm telling you from experience, I solely rely on iPhone when it comes to real work. I'll make a video on it, think it'll be fun.
Looking forward to that video. It definitely depends on the work. Most of my work is in Excel. Dex is a much better alternative to my windows computer than anything from Apple.
@@thesamuelnam I disagree, I switched to android from IOS and never looked back, currently using the S23Ultra. I do a lot of work on my phone, outlook email and Calendar, note taking, documentation and file management including excel sheet, video conferencing. Which of these would you say is a better experience on the iPhone? For me, none. Unless your job is social media focused, like it seems to be the case for your wife, that is the only exception. And that begs the question: why have these app developers refused to bring the same level of optimization to Android social media apps like they do for iPhones? Almost like they get paid to sabotage these experiences on android, don't you think? Anyway, Android is a better platform for work-related use in the sense that I don't need to be at my desk to get things moving. Plus the fact that it integrates with every other device or operating system quite well
Just came across this video of yours and absolutely loved it. It was in great detail but entertaining comparing each device. I have the Samsung S24 plus, iPhone 13 Pro Max and to me each has its own benefits. Keep up the excellent content, Eddie from Kentucky USA.
Yo, Samsung really needs to be paying you to sell their phones 😂. I swear you are one of only TWO Android UA-camrs that I trust, and watch. I am literally a diehard Apple user. I'm neck deep in the Apple ecosystem, and so are my children. You are the only person that has ever convinced me to give Samsung a try, I swear. The only reason why I don't have a S24 currently as an extra phone is because they've been sold out each time I went to pick one up at my carrier. Also, your two little munchkins are beyond adorable!
I watch Samsung videos all the time! I'm a huge samsung fan!!! I've been on Samsung since the S3! I use their products for EVERYTHING!!! I've never seen your videos I just watched this right after the "using Dex for 21 days" I'm an instant subscriber after this!!!
I've been fortunate enough to use devices from both companies and I have to agree with your review. At the end of the day though, it all boils down to how you use your phone on the daily and what features as well as cons can you live with. Very interesting and entertaining take on this topic, here's a sub coming your way!
This is how I got my wife away from Apple. I had a Samsung S9 and I switched her SIM into it. We agreed only 1 week because it was my daily driver. After 1 week, she walked up to me, placed the iPhone in my hand, and walked away. From a distance, I heard "SELL IT! She's been off of Apple ever since.
Sounds about right, because she probably knew she could get a good price for the Apple phone but if she tried to sell the Samsung she would get $5 for it cause Samsung doesn’t hold up
@@Danarchy3bro what lol? What kind of iPhone Fanboy logic is this? The point is that the wife went to Samsung because she liked it more than iPhone... And you find a way to be a pouty fanboy and diss Android. Yikes. 😂
@kylinhunter9773 did you watch the same video that I did? She didn't "go to samsung" she uses samsung but admitted that when she wants to do anything productive she goes back to apple. As for my comment. I recently unloaded an iphone XR for $800. I couldn't even get $1000 for last years samsung fold 5. So you go ahead and call me a fan boy. Because I'm smart enough to realize that a 5 year old phone selling for more than last years model of a different brand means quality. And while we are on the topic of apple fan boy... I'm making this comment on my galaxy fold 5.

My girlfriend completely swithched from Iphone 14 to a Z-Flip (not the samsung fold of course... that is a complete different thing). She uses it all the time with a lether case that has it hanging around your/her neck. It is a piece of her outfit now and she is not that big on having instagram etc so she felt in love with this "Flip" phone. I have a Pixel 8 pro and a Iphone 15 pro max (they are both great). But My GF will never go back from the flip (it is a jewerely she is wearing)
I love her review! It’s honest, she talks about things that are important to most people for daily use, and it’s still personal enough that is different from all the other reviews reciting the same specs in front of RGB lighting.
I thought I couldn’t survive without Apple, but I traded in my iPhone 15 Pro Max and Apple Watch Ultra 2 for the S24 Ultra and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. I don’t use instagram so I don’t care about the quality there. And I’m a green bubble now but my friends are middle aged and don’t care, which is even better.
I used Android for over 10 years before getting an Iphone and I honestly don't think Instagram is that much better on IOS. There's so many ads in the app, it doesn't really matter how good it is. ...And don't even get me started on Meta's new AI search tool 🙄
Still frustrating though because in the United States, most people have iPhones and even the android users depending on who you message, you typically can’t always send better videos to people they either get downgraded or their android isn’t upgraded or they don’t have service at the time that sends it as an RCS message or whatever The other reason may be that’s a big proponent for me is iMessage just always works. I don’t know why android doesn’t have a default messenger. That is the equivalent or better than what iMessages is insane to me that many people and I think is more polished in general I love my 24 ultra but I overall use my iPhone more specifically because the video camera is way better than the galaxy and iMessage and FaceTime and the connection with every other device I have is stellar however I do like taking photos more with my galaxyand I play games when I play games

She's right to complain, but that's Instagram's problem, not Android's. What she said is not about difficult optimization, but simply that a few features are not offered by Instagram on Android with malicious intent.
Doesn‘t matter who’s fault is it, fact is that it‘s always overall worse software experience on an android and the reason why I sent my Pixel 8 Pro back after two weeks.
@awdadwadwad1723 definitely not an overall bad software experience, in fact it's one of the best if not the best, the amount of features that is included in that phone is phenomenel and also the way that is also so smooth it's actually really good, i mean REALLY good, what you should've said is the overall social Media Experience Is not that great and i agree, it's bad, but for someone like me who doesn't actually use social media that much and i actually just stick to youtube which is absolutly Gorgoeus with that display, i couldn't care less about The Social media Experience
Most of the world (outside of the US) uses Android. The largest user base for the app is India (360 million+ users vs. 170 million in the US) which is predominantly Android market as well. Number three is Brazil (140 milllon users) which is also an Android dominated market. It makes no sense that Instagram (Meta) would deliberately screw over the majority of their users. Instagram is just worse on Android, and I assume it’s because there are too many OEMs.
@@kc4276 Meta just hates Android, that makes more sense. I think their project manager dedicate a scrum team to think of how they can make Android apps worse.
I like the honesty in this review. It doesn't look like the traditional review video that I used to watch. At the end of the day, it still depends on personal preference in whichever phone you want to use as your everyday driver.❤

9:16 i totally agree w/ u girl. I don’t understand why the camera on flip is to bad.A quality is like a camera from A series while camera in S series is fantastic
@@vascomorais639 true, but when you're paying like 1400 dollars for a phone, you want the camera quality to be good. 4:15 I died when I saw the black dot thinking some pixels have died on my monitor, even moved youtube around to see if that was on my screen or just the video 😂
1:32 to be fair you could've given her a S24 instead of the ultra, it's a bit less unwieldy and still basically the same. Though who knows I'm only this far in so maybe she likes it by the end after getting used to Android.

Whenever my friend asks me which, "Which one should I buy?" I'll ask, "How much do you use social media, like uploading it not consuming it?" If the answer is rarely, anything is fine. If the answer is a lot of time, iPhone is the only choice. In the end, iPhone, if you can afford it, is almost never a wrong choice, assuming you have enough storage space and money. Android in general has subpar apps, I don't know wht, but it is... It feels like all social media apps are made by Americans that never use anything outside iPhone.
It depends though, if you use UA-cam a lot for example, then Android with revanced app is a better choice, but for social media iphone apps are better, yes
At least for me,one of the main reasons I use an iPhone is that iOS just has this smoothness and fluidity to it that no android device I have used has been able to replicate. It just feels great to use Android doesn’t feel as smooth as iOS even if we’re comparing a 120 hz android to a 60 hz iPhone and apps also generally feel a lot more polished and the animations and transitions are nicer. The gestures also feel more intuitive and nicer, though I do miss universal back swipe. Also Samsung’s camera processing generally produces images which look worser than my old iPhone did despite having a much better camera setup. If I had started off on android I probably wouldn’t have cared but as someone who used iOS for most of my life and switched to android last year,I do notice all of this and find it annoying, which is why I switched back after 6 months with my fold 4.I don’t mind using an android device as a secondary device but I won’t be using one as my primary device anytime soon.I also have something called uyou+ on iPhone which works just as well,if not better than Vanced.
@@balmashev93 I remember that Linus said something about UA-cam app, the app that is made by google, has same parent company that makes Android... he complained that a feature in youtube app is not in his Samsung while it is available in iPhone.

Life is infinitely better without social media, that should be considered an upside.
@@gamechannel1271 Not for everyone
This was an amazing way to completely remove the tech-reviewer bias from the usual "iOS vs Android" debate and it's now my favorite comparison of both systems and what I'll show my friends who are curious about switching to either one. Great video!
I’m officially switching to Android this week when my S24U comes in, and this video really helped with my anxiety! Your wife’s authentic reaction is very helpful!
Got mine last week and I'm loving it so far!
Same here, I got my S24 Ultra last week and it's a huge upgrade from my iPhone 13 Pro Max. I'm really enjoying all the new features it has. I hope iPhone users will appreciate this beast too!
You mean you switching to phone that runs android
Welcome to the club of people who only charge their phones every two days. 😅😅😅
How you liking it so far?
The why after he says I love you is hilarious. She know he is up to something
as someone who doesn't use social media like that i never noticed these things so the Samsung has always been my favorite but i can totally understand why she would choose iPhone in this case. she did point out some pretty important things that understandably shouldn't be an issue cause its something that could be fixed by devs but are still there and just make usage that more of a inconvenience. great video. big thumbs up from me
Can I just say your kids are adorable!!!!! Love the video
This is one of the best switching videos I've seen! Her honesty and not being bias was awesome.
I love how honest she is ❤❤❤❤
Sounds like an Instagram problem.
yeah, but if you're using android then it's an android problem. People switch to iPhone and the problem is gone, so that's why it's frustrating. Android devs don't care/get paid for optimalise apps
It's funny bc they don't talk about the issues with iphone over android. I like to be able to customize my phone the way I want it since I... bought it... smh
Fr
@@rzuku97TVNether do iOS devs by apple 💀
It's specifically only the iPhone because it's an American thing, Samsung actually paid Instagram and Snapchat to use the Google Camera 2Api which accesses the native lens because before that they were using a snapshot of the viewfinder instead of optimising their image quality
Samsung also paid Instagram to get their app to fit on Android L devices, while apple doesn't give a shi about Instagram
That's why Instagram on iPad sucks compared to Galaxy tab which is atleast optimised
Instagram is simply platform biased twoards iPhone and not any other apple products
Not because they're paid or anything but because they're lazy af to put in the effort to use the required API amd change their code
@@HSHIN19 That's not her problem. Her problem is not most of us problem either 😅

I couldn't disagree more
Wow what a great video!
I'm totally in for subscribing to you guys. Keep pumping out that awesome content, team!
Your wife gave it a good shot, and in moderation, she loved Android, and that's what android does it shows that there is something to like for everyone.
a subscribe is deserved for your honest lifestyle, and being decent.
great content
I just had to subscribe......your love and laughter is infectious. See you four soon. Aloha.
Wholesome and informative as always! So happy to see the iPhone vs Android debate being discussed in a healthy way and talking objectively about both pros and cons of each phone.
Also, your daughters are little angels! they are very innocent and sweet! Praying for their best!🙏
First video of yours I watch, and with all the humor and fun vlogging style, I had to subscribe!
Wow I didn't expect a detailed difference on Instagram versions. She did a good job noticing that, even the how thumbnails are displayed! You know they have people in Meta assigned to that job, quality. And they don't do anything about it.
This has got to be the most honest review I've ever seen
Plus the fact that it integrates with every other device or operating system quite well
@thesamuelnam it's probably because of imessage and ecosystem
@@devilkazumi578 forget iMessage and the ecosystem, its about the app optimisation in certain apps because of the developers fault.
Just came across this video of yours and absolutely loved it. It was in great detail but entertaining comparing each device. I have the Samsung S24 plus, iPhone 13 Pro Max and to me each has its own benefits. Keep up the excellent content, Eddie from Kentucky USA.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching you two. I had a smile plastered on my face all through. Thanks for the laughs!
Thanks man. I’m an Apple user who really enjoys Android phones. Check my latest video out why I can’t stop using Android.

The honesty in a review of this video is REAL!
Always refreshing to watch your videos man.
Yikes. 😂
Lol you say she's been off apple, like she's off drugs 😂. I use S23Ultra, and man it's a monster of a phone.
@@kylinhunter9773 you could not be more wrong, and this is coming from a guy who has only used android phones.
I think base model s24 is the right option for her. It is small and has better camera and battery life.
Yeah but she has complaints with insta on android too. Which btw using iPhone for years i never used any of that feature cuz I don’t post much so idc.
@@shahmeerfaisal5662 the instagram part is the developers fault, they should be forced to optimise it properly.
Instagram on s24 is even more trash. I had one and the reels dont even fit the screen properly. Too small screen and not optimized well for s24.
@@ismail10_02 Write your complaints to the developers, so they can heard the truth about its app optimisation.
@@ismail10_02 You don't know anything 😂, the S24 series is optimized for Instagram, don't say what you don't know, don't lie that it doesn't look good on you isheep
Your daughters are so cute! God bless those children
S24 Ultra is a great phone, but Galaxy Watches are meh.
Wow
@@jinraigami3349 yes, but there's also a huge price difference between the watches.
This a great video of a husband and wife tech team, keep up the amazing work guys. This was the first time watching your video and it will not be the last. 👍

Your editing / story telling is so good brrooooooo !
Let’s goo! The long awaited video
She's right to complain, but that's Instagram's problem, not Android's. What she said is not about difficult optimization, but simply that a few features are not offered by Instagram on Android with malicious intent.
Yep, its Instagram's fault for not adding such feature to their Android app

9:16 i totally agree w/ u girl. I don’t understand why the camera on flip is to bad.A quality is like a camera from A series while camera in S series is fantastic
Camera is not the focus on Flip phones, focus is usability and comfort in use, if you want cameras the S series exists for this
@@vascomorais639 true, but when you're paying like 1400 dollars for a phone, you want the camera quality to be good. The regular base model s series phones are close to half the price of the z flip, and besides folding, they are better in every way. The z flip camera is worse than old S series phones
Yes, me as iPhone 13 mini user was interested in the Samsung Flip but the camera is just TOO BAD on the flip
Z Flip with S24 plus camera & battery would be game changer and also Fold with Ultra cameras
Why not just the normal S24?

You can change the background color of a story in Android as well. You just have to go to draw and tap on whichever color you like.
I wish this video was in Portuguese… Brazil is in a big need for videos like this.
Whenever my friend asks me which, "Which one should I buy?"
I'll ask, "How much do you use social media, like uploading it not consuming it?"
If the answer is rarely, anything is fine.
@@balmashev93nobody use revanced app tho, I have never met a single person who does
At least for me,one of the main reasons I use an iPhone is that iOS just has this smoothness and fluidity to it that no android device I have used has been able to replicate. It just feels great to use
Android doesn’t feel as smooth as iOS even if we’re comparing a 120 hz android to a 60 hz iPhone and apps also generally feel a lot more polished and the animations and transitions are nicer.
Only social media apps are subpar on android lol
