  • Part 2 of my 2003 Olympia training
    During the 2003 Mr. Olympia contest prep I trained harder than I ever did for any other show in my life. Everyone was saying I was washed up and that my run was over. I was at war everyday to prove them wrong. Here is a short glimpse into what one of those days were like.

    I love how this is not some fancy ass gym. It just has everything he needs and he builds his legacy on hard ass work.

      This was similar to my gym before it unfortunately closed down due to the virus. It was on the third floor of an old metal factory in town from long ago. Metal Health in Wallingford, CT. Their trademark was we always played just old school metal and rock, hence why the gym was named after Quiet Riots album, which fit perfectly. Brick walls, a few windows, no ac, rows and rows of somewhat rusted dumbells, solid steel older machines etc. If you were hot, open a window or grab one of those metal industrial fans we had. Noone in there on their phones and everyone was cool with eachother. They were like my second family to me. I loved this environment and I miss it everyday. I've been putting together my garage gym for right now but man it ain't the same.

      Ronnie8...I don't expect you to respond to this but I can see through my own training that most people didn't and still don't really understand where you were coming from. Too may count on good genetics and other things, but that real push to the limit to be the very best, few really understand.

    • @nagone11
      @nagone11 8 років тому +1

      Mark Richardson But so is hard work as well. Look at guys like Rich Gaspari who beat guys that he should not have but he simply outworked them. Yes genetics are key, but its not the only factor buddy!

    • @nagone11
      @nagone11 8 років тому +1

      Mark Richardson Few have the structure to be a IFBB pro, very few indeed. But as long as you do it in a healthy fashion it is very beneficial. I could never be an IFBB pro either but I love the natural bodybuilding lifestyle, it is great and I get great benefits as well as many others.

    • @onurbole7921
      @onurbole7921 6 років тому +24

      @InTheAir1122 I know and I'm saying not only do you not need it but it could be more counterproductive than anything, if you're a natural athlete. It is not even an exercise that allows for consistent progressive overload, which means every now and then you have to cheat so you can hold more weight doing some shoulder flexion and then decrease the weight a little to go back to proper form, hopefully with more weight than you used prior to cheat protocol. In other words you can't even get strong to the point where you can just swing 60s with a momentum if you stick to strict front raises for your whole life. And once again I think they're unnecessary in the first place.

    • @igorstein5616

      I disagree. His form was good. You gotta lean back a little with that much weight and even with the bit of swinging he still gave his front delts a hell of a workout and it showed.

He said something like “imagine the amount of rage and torment it would take to get under a squat rack & squat 800lbs”

    Crossover invertido, Coleman treinando tríceps, é o que eu digo, quando o cara tá anabolizado, não precisa de técnica, precisa é de carga.

    Playing Lil Kim - Jump Off at 9:50. Pretty good tune. I fast forward through over track music and tune back in to gym audio because I like listening to Ronnie. Just happened to catch that one in the background.

    Hey Ronnie, massive fan of yours here from the UK. I have been following your bodybuilding career since your first Mr Olympia win in 1998 and was lucky enough to watch you win the 2004 Grand Prix, in London. To me, you are and always will be the G.O.A.T!! I had a quick question - With the benefit of hindsight, do you think if you complimented your insane bodybuilding/power lifting sessions with some regular holistic training sessions like yoga to help with body alignment and muscle/body tightness etc , maybe you could have prolonged your career that bit longer and also avoided long term injuries? Peace and Love from the UK!! #YEAHBUDDY #LIGHTWEIGHT
