It also gives you an orientation between the back of the left hand and the clubface. If you know where the clubface is it's easier to hit the ball in the intended direction.
I started doing this for the exact same reason, not knowing it was Adams's or anyone else's routine. I find the golf club impossible to grip correctly from the address position. Some people seem to be able to do it naturally, not me.
Not everyone has the same grip. What may work for some won't work for others. Don't let someone tell you there's only one way to do something in golf. Find what works for you and improve on that. Cheers everyone!!
The one element being left out here is that the position Adam starts with is the natural position of your left hand. In other words if you just let your arms hang down naturally at your side your hands will "turn over" mimicking a good strong 2 to 3 knuckle grip when you bring your arms in front of you in an address position. Your welcome 😊
I don get that, he grips weak and then readjusts when in ball striking position? Why not just grip while setting up and get it down with muscle memory.
How many players can play a weak left hand grip ??? Probably less than 10% of all golfers. Look up Terry Rowles and Mike Adams Ultimate Golf Lesson. Get measured so you don’t go down rabbit holes like this
I think this is a brilliant way to get a nice neutral grip in the fingers of the left hand.
Absolutely!! You don’t want your hands or wrists to dictate your swing
Didn't he just say it was an easy way to keep it weak?
That’s exactly what he isn’t trying to do
@@kurtislowe6749yup.
Always great info in short videos, brilliant channel!
My grip got way too strong over the years and have been doing this recently. Helps a lot to get a consistent grip that isn’t too strong
Strong left isnt problem if your right hand is properly placed
You always bring up interesting points that would’ve been overlooked otherwise.
I love looking at details!!
I saw Adam do this a long time ago so I copied it and it basically changed my swing. Best swing in golf.
So pure
I wish I had your confidence
@@HeyImDateMike regarding how i changed my swing?
His swing is a thing of beauty.
I needed this in my life
It also gives you an orientation between the back of the left hand and the clubface. If you know where the clubface is it's easier to hit the ball in the intended direction.
That’s the main reason why tbh
Doing the adam scott setup helps so much
Routine is everything
Grip is everything

Btw guys weak can and usually does mean “Neutral” ie if you were to unravel your fingers your left palm would face to the right square to the target
I wouldn't know about putting. I only do golf simulators and driving range LOL!
Not everyone has the same grip. What may work for some won't work for others.

I do this but have a stronger left hand now.
I've never thought anyone could have that issue setting up
Omg I do this
The UNLV golf goat
I dont have much trouble holding the club. I have trouble hitting the ball

I don’t trust a guy that uses the broom 🧹 of Little Caesar to putt lol
Ive watched this over 10 times and still dont see the difference it makes? 😅
I take it back. I actually tried it and felt a huge difference in my left arm when doing it.
Now I’ll make it 😅
i am doing this.for long time.
That’s really a great idea.
I think this is an under utilized technique for a consistent grip. It surely would help with eliminating another potential variable.
Rickie Fowler does it too
It’s about the strength of his grip, he’s not focused on trying to get it in his fingers.
I’m showing my wife this grip .
Weak, palms, fingers????? what are you talking about
Finish your juice box and go outside and play. 😏
I’ve always thought it was for him to aim his shot.
It can be both 🤷🏼♂️
*only if you want a weak grip that Adam needs”
I don get that, he grips weak and then readjusts when in ball striking position?

Whatever floats your boat
Cool
I'm so over this backing track.
They way you put it in your palm to demonstrate. 🤡🤡🤡
It really isn’t difficult to get your grip in the right position…
No, because I never even noticed that he does this.
Doesn’t Ricky Fowler also do this??
All those hold in your fingers guys , Nicklaus did something similar ,
And Hogan

Adam Scott uses a belly/long putter so his advice is worthless to me. He's not even a real golfer.
He doesn't do it any more though
You’re wrong.
No, don't see it, not clear and don't understand what on earth you're on about
bro what??? lol if you cant move your hand enough to grip a club, maybe go to a physical therapist first before swinging a club lmao
I don’t have a problem gripping the club in my left hand and I don’t have an issue with being in the palm of my hand.
