We have considered Teaching Textbooks as well for our 6th grader, may use their trial. We use Singapore Math but our 6th and 4th grade daughters enjoy Math U See videos lessons...they make math easy to understand. New homeschooler here :) I didn't know about The Good and the Beautiful book list. Love your book list. Thanks for sharing!
I've been thinking about using math you see for my oldest. I like that it's mastry which is what I think he needs. He used teaching textbooks for 2 years and we stopped because he wanted to do it with a paper and pencil.

We’ve never used teaching textbooks but my kids prefer a book instead of maths on the computer. Wen i started homeschooling we started language arts from level 1 of TGTB as I knew there was gaps. We haven’t done a typing curriculum but my kids type a lot. I require 5 mins of reading. Sleeping beauty‘s daughter is a book I’m going to get 4 my daughter.

I loved reading Naya Nuki when I was about your daughter’s age! We pronounced it “Ny-uh Nook-ee” in Montana, where I grew up, so hopefully that was the correct way to say it.
This is so ironic. Today at coop much of these books were being given away. I totally picked some up, how can you pass up some of these.
