- We are in our 6th week of homeschooling. I wanted to share an update on how things are going. Also, we have added in some new things the school year that he has not done before. I am a homeschool mom of four boys we have graduated 2 and this is our 16th year homeschool .

Thanks so much for sharing all of this! This is my first year homeschooling and my son is also in 6th grade and doing HOD. And we are also doing Math-U-See. And now I may end up doing Science Shephard too lol! I so appreciate your reminders that we do not have to rush through lessons (my son is also going slow with the IEW Medieval Hx Writing) and to read what he is interested in. For some reason I keep falling into the “pressure to keep up” trap so I do appreciate your encouragement!! I really enjoy your channel!

I still feel the pressure -I think that is normal, but praying and keeping our focus on where our child is at helps🤗
We have enjoyed the Trailblazer books as well.

I am using Bible Heroes with my 2nd grader. It’s going well. My 5th graders used Structure and Style. That was our first year using IEW and we all like it.

No other books, but the videos give great details. If you want extra books Masterbooks has “Wonders of Creation” series😉
Love science shepherd. It's sweet and simple, especially for kids who don't love science
