      I'm glad you took something away from it! : ) Trust me, anything "good" about me is from the Holy Spirit. Thanks for your compliments though. xo

    This was wonderful and wise. I loved the part about keeping the end goal in mind. I definitely flew off the handle yelling at my kids today, but hopefully tomorrow I can remember some of these tips and try again :)

    So I know this is an older video, but I have 3 kids 4 and under. I notice when I take the kids out by myself, grocery store, zoo, lake, simple outings. I am much more tiered and I am quicker to lose patience.. would you advice to not worry about going out much? Usually I meet with a friend with her kids, or just for fun /:

      @CalledtoCultivate  4 роки тому +2

      That IS a challenging thing. For me it helps for the kids to know what my expectations are for their behavior. I also have to remember that they are kids and will have their moments. I would try to only take them out when they were fed and rested (hangry kids are so much harder to reason with). If they misbehaved in the store I would get really close their their ear and whisper a reminder or what kind of behavior they needed to have. I usually bring a snack in the store for my baby/toddler and pull it out once they start getting antsy. I like to have granola bar as reward/incentive for the older kids having good behavior; they get to eat it once we get back to our vehicle. It is easy to feel overwhelmed and more stressed when you’re out with the kids. You’re not alone and know that with consistent parenting and maturity your kids should be able to handle outings better. 🤗👍🏻

      It doesn't come naturally to any of us! That's why it's a fruit of the Holy Spirit. ; ) But as we grow in our relationship with God, hopefully it becomes a natural outpouring on those around us.

    Very true... they model our behavior. I struggle most with my oldest son, he's 9.

    Thank you so much for this video. There was so much richness in it - so much that I needed to hear. Patience is a virtue I struggle with a lot. Even as I'm in this momentum of typing. 😜 Thank you so much for the practical tips paired along with Biblical truth.

    I'm from Sarah's channel and wow am I forever grateful for this video! You actually made me tear up a bit and I think I'm going to try that soft voice tip. Sometimes I get so heated with my girls because I'm overwhelmed that I forget that maybe they are emotional too. Sometimes all they need is a hug to calm them back down 😊 I have 3 girls, 5, 2 (3 in March) and 8 month old (on the 18 of Feb)

      You’re not alone! It’s a daily battle, not only with our own sinful nature but also remember the Bible says that we aren’t fighting physicals battles. Our battles are Spiritual ones. Keep seeking the Lord, memorize Scripture, and seek forgiveness from your kids when you lose your temper. 💕😊
