    This makes more sense. I sent the engine for a long block rebuild. Afterwards the oil light comes on and off. No dry sound and it shows some oil at the valve cover while running. Im hesitant to call the pump since im assuming they should of put a new one. But now im thinking if I need to go and check all this clearances.
    Thanks!!

      Yes! It's a good idea to give the gearing a quick check and benefit in the long run.

    Got my oil pump cleaned up and ready only issue I stripped one of the bolts for the TDC sensor and having a hard time removing it. Thanks for the video I'll definitely check the clearances now.

      You wont need the sensor anyway coz it's not needed if your setup is obd1, otherwise, it cannot be tune using that sensor. Yes, it's a good idea to check the oil pump gears clearances.

      Not sure if I'm going obd1 because I'm thinking of going standalone ecu. With a standalone i don't think it matters if it's obd1 or obd2.

    also where can I find the online factory service manual for prelude you are using on your laptop?

    • @sagittnet2158

      I downloaded it many years ago from the web. Not sure if it's still avail though. But if you need a certain torque specs, Honda-tech.com have it under FAQ.

    are you keeping the balance shaft in your h22? I am wondering if I should remove it from my jdm h23a bluetop

    • @sagittnet2158
      @sagittnet2158  2 роки тому

      I using the balance shaft still, on my H22 and G23. I had one motor that I deleted it but I've noticed a buzzing sound on cold start and never a fan of it. If I ever will delete it again, I'll invest and buy aftermarket dampner. But don't let me stop you for doing what you like. I just want my engine to be reliable and last longer for me to enjoy. I'm just speaking thru my experienced.

    Would using my h22 oil pump on my f23 block and head let me rev the motor higher?

    • @sagittnet2158

      It's all about combination of parts. F23 oil pump will do the same as H22. You need a valvetrain upgrade, hi lift cams together w/ hi comp ratio piston. Use a good intake manifold, bigger t/b and lastly a good known exhaust manifold w/ 3" exhaust piping. I wish l could've experiment further on my 3rd time retuning the G23bk so everyone can see. I could have install a type S cams to find out if it can make more hp better than H23a cams. But l like how it runs before and don't want to make some changes so l kept it how it is. Just be careful over revving your motor coz it's not really design to handle the rev more than 7k but its capable to go pass that. Only if you have a good supporting parts on it.

    Using f23 block if i want to install block guard kit do i have to use an extended oil pan ??

    • @sagittnet2158
      @sagittnet2158  2 роки тому

      I'm not sure if they make a cylinder block guard for F23, but l do know some guys they send the block to CSS to get it done.

    • @sagittnet2158
      @sagittnet2158  2 роки тому

      Not sure about extended oil pan though. Are you thinking of using it like a H2b or should l say G2B setup where you have to change the oil pan coz it angle on the bay?

      @@sagittnet2158 i think it is called a block girdle kit where it sits right under the crankshaft i did find some but im wondering about the oil pan

    • @sagittnet2158
      @sagittnet2158  2 роки тому

      Ok, you dont need it, that's for a B series. F23 have a good main bearing girdle, its almost like a K series and it's better than H22 girdle. No need to worry about the main bearing areas my friend.
