Very few do subtle superlative greatness like Zeppelin - real music and vocals from the masters.
Bre, physical graffiti was released in 1975,the 93'version is a remastered album, peace out when he says I'm never going to leave you,he's singing about his music!
In addition to the outstanding music (as it always was on Led Zeppelin albums), one of the most fun things about this album was the interchangeable pictures for the windows. I remember quite a few times as a teenager - almost certainly high on some good weed or another - looking at all the inset pictures, and wondering where some of them came from in those pre-internet days. One of them whose provenance I was always sure was the picture of Laurel & Hardy underneath a piano, on top of which stands a very large horse (from the film short "Wrong Again", 1929). Laurel & Hardy, by far my favorite comedians, on an album cover by Led Zeppelin, by far my favorite band. You can't beat that!

2 pac sampled this track for his song, “life’s so hard”. Jimmy Page was not just a guitar god, he also wrote most of the music, and was the sole record producer for every Led Zeppelin album. There are recordings of Jimmy developing this song at his home studio. “Ten years gone” also shows his skills as an arranger, and producer as there are 3 or more guitar tracks playing together at several points in the song, and apparently Jimmy recorded all the guitar tracks in one night. 😮

This was supposed to be an instrumental, until Plant wrote the lyrics, he must have been thinking about that young love. It’s a beautiful song, & I’m so glad he chose his music over her, think what we’d be missing.

You're correct; before joining Zep, Robert had a girlfriend that gave him an ultimatum to choose between her or music. Jimmy used several guitars for this song and overdubbed all the guitar tracks into the lush, sound tapestry you heard.
I was in 8th grade when I heard Kashmir and In the Light, and knew had to have this album. Remember that I was in 8th grade. When I heard Ten Years Gone, it made me sad but happy. When I read the story, I knew why.... Love this song.
Great Reaction. Jimmy laid down 14 separate guitar tracks on this one. Try "The Battle of Evermore" for some outstanding vocals and guitar and mandolin work. It's the only song that Zep ever recorded with a singer from outside the band.

Actually it must have been a pretty young love relationship, Robert married his wife Maureen in 68, & they dated about 2 years. He also had dated Maureen’s sister Shirley before her, I don’t know how long they dated, I think this young woman was before Shirley even. He was in several bands as a young teen, & yes in an interview he said she gave him the choice, her or his music. Thankfully he picked music, I can’t imagine his amazing voice not being heard around the world, or generation to generation. He is my favorite singer, with his amazing range tone & texture, his vocals make all these great songs.thank you again.

Nice reaction Bre to one of the greatest bands ever who created their own genre. Try prog rock by Yes and a song called Roundabout original album. Like Led Zeppelin are masters at rock, Yes are the masters of prog. 🙏🍁
