Great Album! And the last one made by the original 4 members. Drummer, "John (Bonzo) Bonham" passed away shortly after in 1980.
This group is a legend. They have made a lot of hit jams over the years. Extraordinary talent of all 4 of them. This one is one of my favorite songs too, among many of their songs. Got a chance to see them in 1977 in B'ham Al. Great Concert! Awesome Band!😎💯💯🔥🔥

I always preferred this album to "Presence", their previous one. Musically, "In Through the Out Door" was far more interesting. Wish the drummer could've stopped drinking.

Great reaction to a great song. One of John Bonham's most amazing drumming songs. Not only the breakdown section in the middle, but the rest of the song, he holds down a 4/4 groove (though with ghosted triplets) while the guitar and other instruments are playing triplets giving it a 3 over 4 feel. And they make it sound easy. My favorite part is right after the Latin breakdown section in the middle, when the main groove starts over and Bonham plays all those tasty fills. Right before the muted guitar solo. Great stuff!
John is playing a version of the Bernard Purdie shuffle. Toto drummer Jeff Pocaro combined the Purdie shuffle, John Bonham's Fool In The Rain shuffle, along with the Bo Diddley bass drum beat to form the shuffle he used for the song Rosanna.

I've always compared "In Through The Out Door" to Van Halen's "1984;" in that it's Led Zeppellin for folks who don't really LIKE Led Zepellin.
