@@diehardbikes Yes, I'm glad they didn't do integrated internal routing like Specialized's Epic World Cup and Scott's Spark. On any bike that's not a road bike, I want a fast-&-easy-to-service headset assembly. These bikes get dirty more easily and frequently than road bikes. Anybody who says they love integrated internal routing, they've never gotten their hands and fingers dirty before from working on bikes.
Clear and concise and conversational, thanks, GC, and yes, a four-grand option is great, thanks, Trek. But GC, just to let you know, I caught that subliminal Specialized ad. 😀
Its nice seeing the dropper posts. On ALL models. Thats one thing i disliked about the 9.8, was no dropper. I completely understand they were trying to keep it light, but i wanted that seat down.
My road bike is a 2013 trek, my mountain bike is a 2015 giant but I just love the color way of this super caliber !!! Because I love the silver and black color way even if it’s something that’s titanium and black I love it so tempting to purchase and that the trek chose this color way, in the world of excessively black frames or colorways that I don’t care for this one is a looker !!!
Killer video as always Brotha. Would be killer if either this Trek or Specialized Epic Evo would offer downtube storage but yes, I get it that it’s built for speed & lightweight. 😢
I wish someone could explain why a top of the line full suspension mountain bike cost $12K and a top of the line road bike cost $15K? $3K more and no rear shock, no suspension fork and no dropper post?
@@hughjanus7354im a mountain biker but youre reaching bro 😂😂 as much as there are more engineering for those active parts, road bikes also demand aerodynamicists and wind tunnel hours which are very expensive in their own right, plus they know that there are a lot of rich people who cant and wont risk themselves on mountain bikes even on green trails lol.
@@pipolchamp8205 you're right about one thing - they know there's enough flexers who's only goal is to have a top of the line sticker parked outside their local bike caff. Hence the IQ part.

Twinlock and other lockout systems is most likely dissapearing on at least top-end bikes the coming year, since they will most likely all be equipped with the new rockshox flight attendant suspension then. SR Suntour is also releasing their suspension, and fox will probably do something with live-valve for the XC suspension kits
@@EMBIKES We're probably 10 years away, if ever for electric suspension on cheaper bikes, hence why I stated top-end. But yeah, for those bikes they will most likely stay with all the different lock out variants out there
Nice bike but very expensive and how easy will it be to get spares in a few years or is it yet another example of built in obsolescence? I had a look at their web site and thought that it was only for African customers.
It's a relief to see regular internal routing on this second-generation Supercaliber.
Trek has always done that for mtbs

This bike speaks to me about everything I like about a bike except one aspect. I wish it could fit 2.6 tires front and back.

Dude, for real!!!
Mountain bikers have a higher IQ than roadies (as can be seen in many of Grant's and other youtuber's videos)

very very nice bike. Love it
🔥This bike is hot❤️🔥
agreee!!!!!
Never actually said what the new geometry is. Left out a lot of info. Real nice bike though.

What about the budget options tho? Surely the low tiers aren’t getting live valve…

Great content as always 👍👍

Gotta love the marketing dept, in 5 years they will add a pivot somewhere and make a trail/enduro version.
