- In today’s episode we finally upgrade the seats on my OG BMW M2 to the BMW F82 M4 sport bucket seats! I chose this option because I wanted seats that were more aggressive but still retained OEM functionality. This set works perfectly for the OG M2 and made a massive improvement in my driving experience. Future updates to come as I’ll also be wiring the badges up to get them illuminated.

Please do a video on the seat wiring I wonder if a wire can go straight into the junction I don't want to splice into the door lighting.
Did you have to code anything? Planning on doing this to mine and possibly dyeing the stitching in blue to match everything else!

Hey, awesome Video! Just switched the og seats for some M2 Competition seats in my M2. I searched on the internet on how to get the M badge to illuminate but i didnt figured it out yet. I would appreciate if you could let me know how to do it when you know more. Thanks!

Run a wire and splice into the footwell lights and pin it into the connector under the seat. I tried pinning mine into the FEM but it never worked.
Suggestion. Probably like others, I have been hesitant in swapping my OEM seats for the M4's since the M2C's are awesome too, but cost more money. Can you do a comparisson video of both, M4 and M2C seats? Also, what are your final thoughts about these seats after being using them for a while?
Thanks for the suggestion…from what I’ve seen in person the seats are pretty much identical but the only difference would be the leather quality and stitching..M2C seats use the same Dakota leather from the OG M2 while the M4 seats use merino leather…Final thoughts on it are it’s a noticeable improvement over stock and does a good job holding you in place

Yes they do
I just did mine and it's throwing a code for seatbelt restraint contact dealer. Exact same m4 seats and OG m2. Used modules from m2. Anybody ever have this happen? Does it need to be coded?
Did the seats come with the belt restraints?
@@MotoGearTV just the part that receives the seatbelt. I guess the female side it would be called.
I would compare the length of it to your original. Chances are if the m4 seats came out of a car in an accident the restraint might be compromised causing the error and would need to be repaired
I went one better with my seats and got the M4 comp seats 😅
I’m guessing they weight the same as the stock seats as it’s got the holes in 😀

probably went one worse since leather and stitching doesn't match the rest of the cabin
@@alexlex85 yes the stitching doesn’t match but I have no rear seats (roll cage and seat delete) so the only piece of leather in the car is the arm rest.
The Merino Leather on the m3/m4 seats is better quality and looking IMO.
Each to there own but the nicer, more comfortable seats out weights the colour of the stitching and a slight miss match of leather
Install the rear ones too
Too much work for the upgrade and I prefer that the rear headrest can be folded down

I have a 2020 M2C - watched your vids an liked everything you have done with your OG M2. Seat upgrade was huge win - they do look mint. Hope you were able to figure out the illumination badge 👍

Great videos, but hesitate adding any weight to our lighter OG cars. 2 lbs here 4 lbs there, plates, intercooler, bigger tires and wheels it all adds up. Let us know how your body feels after a long distance drive, the OG seats are great in that regard.
Appreciate the comment, I rarely go on very long drives with the M2 but the M4 seats have been great to me so far comfort wise. I prefer it holding me in place as compared to the base seats so the slight weight difference is worth it for me
Great content but an awful lot of talking over top of just waving hands. When you edit your video take the audio from your hand waving and overlay it over something more interesting.
