Fujitora is so underrated.
He didn't even try to fight serious and still nobody was a visible threat to him at dressrosa.
He was more tired discussing with Sakazuki then fighting the second strongest of the revolutionary army.

@@dolardo-sama I love it when people are like that tbh. Because that would imply that Luffy was as strong or stronger as Whitebeard during marineford. Meaning that Ace was stronger than Whitebeard, that Sakazuki was weaker than Ace as Sakazuki got his ass handed to him by Whitebeard, that Blackbeard is weaker than Whitebeard as Blackbeard was scared of Whitebeard and Ace obviously lost from Blackbeard, which means that Blackbeard should be stronger than Whitebeard. It would literally mean that everyone is at equal strength.

Fujitora's control over his fruit abilities in combination with his observation haki is probably one of the scariest things that we have seen in the series so far. Think again about it.
The man lifted up all the rubble in Dressrosa. The range alone is impressive, but that's not it. He lifted up ALL the rubble and ONLY the rubble. He did not lift up any non-rubble object lying around, not any citizens (and we know that his abilities can also affect organisms), did not damage any still standing structures, nothing. Which leads me to the conclusion that this blind man, mind you, did not simply affected a wide area with gravitional waves, but had the control to detect and lift up all the different pieces of rubble SPECIFICALLY. With ease. While shortly clashing with Luffy. And after all this he knew exactly how he had to drop the rubble again, so that it won't hit the Strawhat Grand Fleet, but only the other hostile ships that just arrived.

Fujitora probably got tricked by the Navy to joining them. They probably said "Let's make a wager, you win and you'll get 1 billion Berries, but you lose, you have to join the Marines for 20 years." Fujitora probably won and the Navy was like "Ahhhh, bummer man, so close. Say goodbye to your family chum." Just like they did with the two giants who had to guard the gates at Enies Lobby.

As a graduate physics student I can testify to the fact that Tekking did indeed not study physics hahah
I’m no where near graduating, but I do know gravitational waves propagate at the speed of light, so the speed of his effectiveness is essentially as fast as Kizaru’s lasers. Potentially even faster considering that light is slightly slower in air than it is in a vacuum, but gravitational waves likely aren’t slowed down much at all considering that it’s the literal vibration of spacetime. What do you think?
All we’ve been able to do to this point is speculate that we have recorded gravitational waves. There have been a few instances of Nobel prizes being given out because of it but there’s far from enough proof to say they exist outside of our need to make them exist. We are chasing a solution by creating the equation,l which inadvertently makes it impossible to not reach that solution. Not saying they can’t possibly exist, just saying to this point there is no true evidence beyond readings which we choose to equate to gravitational waves because we have an incredible fascination with making anything Einstein touched a reality. Although the initial idea was not his, since it’s part of his theory of relativity it receives much more recognition than it should. without more evidence beyond readings that are extrapolated and defined by programs that are made with the direct purpose of identifying gravitational waves it’s hard to say they truly exist .

It's like metallurgy.. in Mistborne or age of heroes... Iron pulls, steel pushes, tin reveals location of a metallurgist and copper (when awakened) hides presence of metallurgist.. mistborne is a person that can ingest all types of metals and use their powers. Alcohol removes the metals being ingested so it negates the abilities of specific metals.

Just think about it for a bit people:Most DF abilities need to be consciously activated/deactivated.
If you feed a fruit like that to an object,WHO HAS NO CONSCIENCE,the fruit would be practically useless,there would be no way to activate it.The only scenario where that would kinda work is if the DF ability is something passive that is always active,like Luffy's rubber powers(and even,a sword made of rubber doesn't sound too useful)
This is why the only fruits we've seen so far that have been eaten by objects are zoans,the objects need to become conscious in order to use the abilities of the fruit.
Alex well, to be fair, like you said, the ability needs to be activated. So we actually dont know if we have seen objects that werent zoans. Seeing as swords in the one piece world always were kinda implied to have a mind on their own, especially cursed swords, and that the wielders control their minds, its not hard to figure out that if any object would have a DF, it would be a (cursed) sword owned by a master swordsman.

In that case I'll give it to you,I guess cursed swords could use non-zoans,but as far as we know Fujitora's sword is not cursed,the only confirmed cursed swords so far are(unless Im forgetting something) the 3 Kitestu blades

Hmm... but what would the awakening be? You can't exactly turn things into gravity, so maybe it would just act like logias and leave behind a permanent effect. I mean gravity is a natural phenomenon. But think of the ramifications of that. Fujitora could just leave a super-strong permanent gravitational force pulling everything towards the earth. Not only would that increase the difficulty for anyone to do anything, but seeing how it has worked so far, it would also cause a constant stream of meteors to hit every place on the surface of the planet. Also, it would affect the orbit of the planet's moons, possibly causing them to smash into each other, causing devastation. If the moons were affected, then the tides would also go crazy, possibly causing mass flooding and droughts. I think the zushi-zushi no mi could be a pretty close contender with the gura-gura no mi as the most destructive devil fruit..

When people are mad about the way Oda revealed Fujitoras devilfruit in an SBS. I think he felt tired of people making too many theories about Fujitoras possible ability and as many people hae successfuliy speculated about his power, my guess would be: Oda didn't feel the need or the reveal about his devilfruit in the story/the manga, because the community had already known about it in their videos/discussions/speculations.
Definitely my favorite devil fruit.

9.30 It's also not the sword because objects can only "eat" zoan fruits. And the reason behind that is that you need consciousness to activate the fruit, and objects don't have it, but animals (which they become after "eating" a zoan fruit) do.

I always thought gravity, as a super power, would be crazy epic to control. In reality you could do so many crazy things. Just the realm of possibilities is endless
Gravity can effect every other element including light and space, though I don't know weather it can effect dark or not since higher the amount of gravity is, darker it becomes.
e.g: Black holes have greatest gravitational pull to the point that they themselves are effected by said gravity. Also their gravitational pull is so high that it's speculated that even if sun comes close enough to them or they appear close enough to sun, it'll be devouverd by black hole
So if fugitora can have like even 1% of total gravitational power of that magnitude then like what can't he do

-Gravity is a force (according to basic Newtonian mechanics), that exists due to the fact that 2 objects with a specific amount of mass will attract each other. There's a mutual force of attraction going on between them that is proportional to their mass, and counter-proportional to the square of the distance separating them. The intensity of the force of gravity on earth applied on a person (A) can be calculated with the following formula : P=m(A)g
Or this one : m(Earth)×m(A)×G/d.d
-Gravitational energy (or Weight Work) is the product of the force of gravity, the displacement of an object, and its scalar product.
It can be calculated with this formula : Wp=P.d.cos(Ø)
Or this one : Wp=mgh (If the object is falling) ; Wp=-mgh (If the object is rising)

The force due to gravity is given by F = G * (m1*m2)/r^2, where m1 and m2 are the masses of the two objects, r is the distance between the object, and G is the gravitational constant. Admiral Fujitora probably neither changing the masses of the objects nor distorting the space or distance between them. Which means how his power actually works is by increasing the gravitational constant attract objects (the meteor and earth) or decreasing it to make objects repel (the debrid and earth).
So as an example: when he crushed Zoro into the earth, he increased the gravitational constant in that little purple circle area that comes out of his sword.
It seems like the sword may not really be necessary, but it's like a way to channel or aim his power (like Law).
Use that gravity to open your eyes Lol

Negative mass would still have some fun applications in our universe, like allowing the existence of wormholes. But I don't know how much it would accelerate universal expansion.

Is the sword a critical part of the fruit?
No
My theory:
The sword has the gravity fruit. Fujitora, thanks to his unique Kenbunshoku Haki, can see the "soul" of his sword and use its devil fruit. Blackbeard's ability is to steal the power of devil fruit infused objects.
The reason we have never seen objects infused with parmecias is that only the best Kenbunshoku Haki users(and Blackbeard) can use them.
This makes too much sense to go unnoticed.
