Hey Tekking, physicist here. Like you said the concept of "cold" in term of heat is the molekular movement of everything. Whitebeards quakes are physical vibrations, so if Kuzans fruit makes it cold enough he could overpower him. At the absolut cold point (0K or - 273°C) he would litterally stop everything (like in Bleach). I guess if he trained enough he could achieve it. What actually happens at 0K is kind of difficult, but the concept of "nothing can move" is good enough. No power in this universe can move stuff in this state, wich would actually makes Kuzan the most powerfull character, because what do you want to do about that Akainu? You are dead at that point.
engineer here, whitebeard's quakes would introduce vibration energy into the system, which could turn into heat energy (the principle microwave ovens work), which wouldn't let Aokiji reach absolute zero unless Aokiji absorbs energy faster than Whitebeard can produce it.

Im from Japan and think the reason why it is chilly chilly fruit rather than ice ice fruit is probably because of the Japanese name of the fruit.there is no word that means ice in Japan that rhymes in the classic way that oda makes, like gomu-gomu or hobi-hobi. if it was ice ice fruit it was going to be "koori koori fruit ". and that doesn't sound how he makes the names.

Yeah it’s usually 2 syllables vs the three that is こ-お-り. I’ve been taking Japanese for 2 years so I’m pretty proud of myself for recognizing that. (I’m not very good though)

25:04 I think Boa Hancock is criminally underrated because of how she is depicted in non-cannon movies. Even Sengoku acknowledged her strength. Pre-timeskip she was able to casually take out pacifistas with a single kick, which took the ENTIRE straw hat crew to BARELY take out 1 (granted Luffy, Zoro, Sanji could do the same post-timeskip). This means that she would easily be able to destroy Crocodile at that point in the story, since 30 million beri bounty Luffy was able to solo him (after 3 tries). She also has all 3 types of haki, and she is also able to combine her armament haki with her devil fruit to turn people she hits into stone, which is quite devastating in my opinion. (Awakening maybe?) Regardless to do that she is clearly a master of armament haki and her devil fruit powers. After all, the Kuja are famous for their armament haki. Her armament haki is probably even better than Luffy's. We also know Hancock and her sisters have some sort of connection to Rayleigh, maybe he trained them in the past? I don't know how she compares with Doflamingo or the other warlords, but the point of this long rant is by NO means is she weak. I'm tired of seeing so many people look down on her. In a 1v1 she might even be able to give Dofi a run for his money. If I were to group the warlords by strength, I'd say the weakest are [Moriah, Crocodile], then [Blackbeard (warlord not yonko), Jimbei, Law, Hancock] (these 4 are really close), then [Kuma, Dofi, Weevil], and the strongest are obviously Mihawk, and Buggy at the top.

Quantum systems fluctuate as a baseline, they are always changing and moving. So the closer to absolute zero you get the slower classical mechanics become. Think Newtons laws of motion and such. Incidentally, all this would explain why he lost to Akainu- even if he can reach absolute zero, that’s still a hard limit, as nothing can be colder than this. Akainu, on the other hand, could potentially keep making his magma hotter and hotter, maybe even creating something crazy like plasma. Do we know how hot that guy can get?

Cold is the absence of energy, mainly heat, so if he was going to make something like an ice sword, he would either have to make the energy in the area he wanted to make it either move elsewhere, displacement, or absorb it, into nothing. Cold, dark, things like that are the absence of something so if crocodile we're to make a sword out of solid sand, aokiji would have to think kinda inversely. I always hoped Oda would talk about that but I think in the OP world they are more of a physical form rather than the lack of one.
So for your education: it is impossible simply because of Heisenbergs uncertanty equations, which say that you can either now the location or the speed of an elektron/atom. This video got me thinking about physics in relation to one piece and I realized that fujitoras gravity powers would in a round about physics way let him speed up or slow down time let me explain gravity can bend time the same way it can bend space an example of this can be seen in an experiment in which one atomic clock was placed at sea level and the other was placed on top of a mountain (gravity on the mountain top would be lower) after a couple months the clock on the mountain was showing a time a thousandth of a second behind the one on sea level so this got me thing if in a fight fujitora lowered the gravity he experienced would this cause him to experience time slower then his opponents and give him an advantage

Since what causes the damage in organic tissue from freezing is the formation of ice crystals that act like microscopic swords cutting you apart cell by cell, assuming he’s controlling the freeze in a way that prevents the crystals from forming you would be basically ok getting frozen, similar to the way certain tree frogs let themselves get frozen in winter just to thaw in the spring

At its core, cooling something down is slowing the movement between molecules. Vibrations are movements in the molecules of air or whatever. If his power was straight up cooling things down rapidly, he probably COULD freeze vibrations, or at least turn it into a test of wills between him and whitebeard. If his power is slightly different and just freezing anything he wants, possibly not.
So Zexal that’s not exactly correct, the “burning” sensation you get when you touch dry ice is actually the freezing of the skin cells (the temperature of dry ice is -78 degrees C) and the effects are very very similar to burns due to high temperatures

it doesn't seem like logias can actually control their element, they can create it it seems, like akainu creating magma, or aoikji making or, or crocodile making sand, but when it comes to controlling ice/sand/magma, that's already detached from their body it doesn't seem like they have any real power over that.

Temperature works similar to how you stated it, there’s an absolute zero which is the lowest amount of energy states that can be filled and then infinity (hottest point) where all energy states are filled... and then beyond that in either direction the temperatures loop back in the other direction; colder than absolute zero is hot. These are called negative temperatures (according to the Kelvin scale), in a negative temperature atoms look to fill the highest energy state. Also the Entropy values change as when a positive temperature item would release energy the things around it gain entropy (chaos) but when items with a negative temperature release energy they actually gain entropy.

I argue that the fruit really is the ice ice fruit, because the only thing we see him freeze is water: the water in people's body, in the grass, the sea, the mosture in the air. In fact, as Tekking pointed out, the more water there is in something, the quicker he seems to be able to freeze it. What we havent seen is him just making an item cold, not frozen in ice, but just cold

Cold is the absence of energy, mainly heat, so if he was going to make something like an ice sword, he would either have to make the energy in the area he wanted to make it either move elsewhere, displacement, or absorb it, into nothing. Cold, dark, things like that are the absence of something so if crocodile we're to make a sword out of solid sand, aokiji would have to think kinda inversely. I always hoped Oda would talk about that but I think in the OP world they are more of a physical form rather than the lack of one.

So for your education: it is impossible simply because of Heisenbergs uncertanty equations, which say that you can either now the location or the speed of an elektron/atom. This video got me thinking about physics in relation to one piece and I realized that fujitoras gravity powers would in a round about physics way let him speed up or slow down time let me explain gravity can bend time the same way it can bend space an example of this can be seen in an experiment in which one atomic clock was placed at sea level and the other was placed on top of a mountain (gravity on the mountain top would be lower) after a couple months the clock on the mountain was showing a time a thousandth of a second behind the one on sea level so this got me thing if in a fight fujitora lowered the gravity he experienced would this cause him to experience time slower then his opponents and give him an advantage

Since what causes the damage in organic tissue from freezing is the formation of ice crystals that act like microscopic swords cutting you apart cell by cell, assuming he’s controlling the freeze in a way that prevents the crystals from forming you would be basically ok getting frozen, similar to the way certain tree frogs let themselves get frozen in winter just to thaw in the spring

If his power was straight up cooling things down rapidly, he probably COULD freeze vibrations, or at least turn it into a test of wills between him and whitebeard. it doesn't seem like logias can actually control their element, they can create it it seems, like akainu creating magma, or aoikji making or, or crocodile making sand, but when it comes to controlling ice/sand/magma, that's already detached from their body it doesn't seem like they have any real power over that.

Temperature works similar to how you stated it, there’s an absolute zero which is the lowest amount of energy states that can be filled and then infinity (hottest point) where all energy states are filled... and then beyond that in either direction the temperatures loop back in the other direction; colder than absolute zero is hot. These are called negative temperatures (according to the Kelvin scale), in a negative temperature atoms look to fill the highest energy state. Also the Entropy values change as when a positive temperature item would release energy the things around it gain entropy (chaos) but when items with a negative temperature release energy they actually gain entropy.

In fact, as Tekking pointed out, the more water there is in something, the quicker he seems to be able to freeze it. What we havent seen is him just making an item cold, not frozen in ice, but just cold
