It was a 1 in 6 chance every day to let them go. Plot device yeah, but that's still pretty improbable. Maybe he can manipulate it with invisible haki somehow or maybe he has a D in his name somewhere which gives him ridiculous luck. We'll prbly get an explanation on his luck one of these days.
I just wonder who read the die every day since isshou can't see the die, presumably not even with his observation haki.

I love Fuji. As soon as he debuted I knew he'd be awesome. I love his view point, and how he is actually a good guy. I like that he understands that just because your an enemy you aren't "bad" Of course his devil fruit is dope.

He worked with Kuma at Sabaody, sent all straw hats to train for the new world. Kicked Luffy to Whitebeard, the safest place on Marineford, when Luffy was exhausted. Broke Aokiji's ice to help Law's submarine escape. Tried to go to Wano and be absent when the revolutionary army were attacking Marygeoise. And did you notice he stands next to Dragon on the 928 chapter colored page?

The dice thing wasn’t a plot device, I’m pretty sure he was using his gravity powers to make it land there every time to give them time to recuperate before he went after them since luffy saved the country
In my opinion he used his devil fruit to manipulate the dice at the end of dresrosa to give Luffy time to escape without directly stating to the rest of the Marines he was doing that

I think gambling is Isshos weakness. It is a theme with this character.
Might even be the reason for the side he chose.
I don't think Fujitora used the dice to bet on capturing luffy because he wanted to trust the dice, i think he just wanted an excuse to hold off capturing luffy as long as possible, and used his pre-established luck and a 6 sided die to do it.
Still a plot device, but not too contrived.
I always thought when the dice thing happened in dressrosa, that he was using his observation Haki to buy the straw hats some time till it was no longer in his control
The great Tekking use to be the greatest of all! But little did he know that the one of true greatness was always right beside him. Watching him grow, cheering him on and of course just being the one we now know and love as Barry😌

What if Fugitora meets Dragon later, then Dragon tells Fugitora about Imu which leads to Fugitora's betrayal of the World Navy? Fugitora will see a "unique" aura and will eventually put it together that Dragon is Luffy's father. Resulting in Dragon recruiting Fugitora, and a Sabo v Fugitora reunion. This time, fighting for the same cause. lol
“Devine Justice” is probably reserved for Admiral Greenbull. I mean he was/is on a fast

His theme is what works, thats why the 'chance' aspect makes sense for a character that both combines elements of 'blind justice' 'chance' and 'gravity'. All are fair, and don't discriminate

Great video! I thought that it was interesting that you mentioned that Fujitora may believe in or align himself with a deity, a bein g in a higher position of power and importance to Fujitora.
This got me thinking about the alignment of clerics and other magic users, not to mention monsters, to various gods in the world of Dungeons & Dragons.
Say, have you gotten around to playing at all? I remember you mentioning your desire to be part of a game a few times over the past year. I am just now getting into the game myself. I've found that it can be difficult to find a DM, so I'm thinking about recruiting players and just running a game myself! A great resource on UA-cam is Matt Colville's channel. He's a DM with a series called Running the Game, in which he talks about how it's really fun and not that hard to run D&D. He provides various advice and tools to make it more accessible for new Dungeon Masters to get started. Anyways, I thought you'd really enjoy his content and might learn a lot in pursuit of a new hobby!

I believe that too. If Fujitora wanted he could've defeated almost everyone on that island. He also didn't fight serious against Sabo. They both admitted that the were just playing around.
Mr.Reaper I was saying that in bargos discord,Fuji was most definitely defeating everyone there on that island at that time idc what anyone says his hardest fight would have been luffy doffy and sabo, but even sabo knew he was playing with him

I feel like Issho is gonna be one of those like cold quiet types who is then revealed to be like a berserker who’s blood thirsty, idk seems like a trope that hasn’t been fully explored in OP yet and I think he’d be a fun character to use it for

Hey I know this is pretty late in comparison to when you made the video talking about King's race/wing color displayed in the anime, and I am also aware of the fact that the current opening is a completely different animation from the last, but I wanted to point out the fact that they did in fact change his wing colors from white to either black or shadowed out. Just wanted to bring this to your attention in case it unlikely passed by you!

I think Fujitora used the dice to decide whether or not to go after the Straw Hats because he knows, despite them being pirates, they are good at heart. Most other pirates would have been caught then and there, but because they seemed pure he decided to give them a chance. Yes, the dice are still a plot device, but I think it makes more sense this way.
pretty sure tekking is make a video and trying to cut down as much time as possible on his video so it's not 3 hours long for this new chapter especially with what he had discussed in this video lol

@tekking101 I’m not sure if you thought of this specifically but maybe when Akainu, or whomever chose to recruit him made the proposition of him joining the world government and fujitora decided to roll the dice on it. For example,” If I roll both snake eyes, I will join you, if I roll higher than 6 I fight you.” And regardless of his previous allegiance, he got stuck becoming an admiral because the hands of fate told him so.

From what I have seen, pretty much every live reactor and reviewer is going crazy or now-now if you prefer over this chapter. I wouldn't mind a 90 minute video over this since the events of this chapter are massive and the ramifications, will be felt on a world-wide scale.
You could talk about my theory that Sanji and Shiryu are immune to Kizaru's Devil Fruit due to invisibility being an ability to manipulate LIGHT, and NEGATING light's affect on you.
I posted a longer comment about it in the video about Kalifa's Devil Fruit. It got a lot of likes, it should be easy to find.

why is nobody talking about Issho being able to manipulate the dice results with his Observation Haki + Gravity Manipulation?
Is this stated anywhere? He could probably do it but I think he wouldn't even know which side is wich in the first place.
@@ralfsstuff It's not hard to determine which side of the dice is the 1, for instance, with the tip of your fingers. Even less so by a blind man, who has more sensibility in the 4 senses he still has. He could go from there. The thing is that Fujitora is apparently a recurring gambler, and the "cheating blind gambling old man" is somewhat of a trope in anime, is it not?

hey Tekking, I just wanna point out that it is very clear that Fujitora was doing the dice rolls as a way of giving the straw hats a chance to recover since he really respected luffy and didn't want to hunt him down but because of his position he had too so he just did the rolls to delay the marines as much as he could.

Regarding Fujitora's dice thing;
That's called obfuscation. He doesn't REALLY rely so much on the hand of fate. It was a ruse. That was his way of repaying Luffy et al for what they did.

Now that you mention it, almost everyone seemed to ignore the whole draft thing, and this could actually have a huge negative impact on the WG. Fuji himself has already shown a bit of it, and who knows, Green Bull could actually be using the WG just the same way Crocodile and Doflamingo did
I always saw the dice thing at the end of Dressrosa as Fujitora manipulating the gravity of the die to always roll the number he wanted (the rule was, as I recall, that of the number rolled is anything other than one, he'll capture Luffy).
He *wanted* to give Luffy a chance to recover. It wasn't until Tsuru rolled the die that he went after them.

This is how Fujitora views the whole dice thing (imo). If the dice lands on double 6 it was fate and your left with no other option but to capture straw-hat, if it doesn't land on double 6, it wasn't meant to happen or it will be very difficult to make happen, therefore, leaving you to do what you please because you now know that no matter what you do, you can't/ won't be able to do what people want you to. Its a way of deciding without your brain. "Fate" is just the word we use because we dont know what else to call something that isnt really there lol
It's been a while since I read the chapter, but I guess my interpretation of the dice rolls was that he was either using rigged dice, or somehow manipulating the rolls with his Devil Fruit because he WANTED to give everyone time to recover. Kind of like a plausible deniability thing; "Well, we pretty much owe it to all of them that the situation resolved itself with minimal casualties. I'll just pretend to be a weird old man because the soldiers under me will absolutely not act on their own initiative."

Tekking fujitora did the dice thing because he didn't want to arrest luffy cause he was the savior of dressrosa and in his eyes(pun intended), he didn't deserved to be arrested. But he is a pirate so he deserved to be arrested. Since there was no correct answer for him, he thought maybe fate will know the right thing to do. And it did

As a law student, I know that blind justice is the most fair, because it's the only one that ignores the superficial , and focus only on the facts.
Lady justice is blindfold,the blindfold represents impartiality, the ideal that justice should be applied without regard to wealth, power, or other status.
Perhaps you can do Zephyr next? I know his status as canon/non-canon is debatable at this point (despite Oda writing his backstory on top of designing him), but would still be interesting to talk about given his connections to a lot of today's admirals/vice-admirals (I mean, you did do a vid on Jonathan)
