It has been I tersting to see how different all of our listening is. It really comes down to albums that created a certain emotion in us that we enjoy to relive by playing that album
Enjoyed that and you have two of my all timers on your list. I bought my Lola record in the early 70’s as well and it had the same cut off corner as your does. Love that one to death. And JB’s Star Time is simply the best box set of all time in my opinion. Would love to see that released as a vinyl box as I never found the sound quality of the CD box up to the standard of the epic material. Thanks
@@tomrobinson5776 I started out with one LP per artist, but I realized the Beatles had so changed things, I couldn't reduce their contribution to just one album. Then, I wondered if the reason Rock sorta fizzled out was no one came along to match take their place. The Stones gave it a run, when Brian Jones was still an active force in the band, but since his death, they've become a boogie band. The Beatles kept everyone on their toes, set the bar a little higher with every new album, reinventing themselves each time. It was a torrid pace for a while, there.
I really agree about Gala by Lush. I don't recall how I came to by the CD back in the.nineties but that album is all the things that you said about it. At the time, I did not even know what the shoe gaze movement was in music. Good music.
Adding to one of my life's greater mysteries or questions: will i ever dive back into The Lamb. Its probably like an amazing beer or fine wine that i dont have the taste for: yet. There's still time
It’s amazing when you haven’t listened to a particular album or artist after a certain amount of time it can either sound totally fresh or you just can’t relate to it anymore.
I’m going to play Pretzel Logic today . Think I know a few people or their pals from Hatfield. Will listen to the rotters today . My EP came out on iTunes and Spotify and UA-cam last week . Fusion Underclass by the Mike Edmonds Quintet . I was in Liverpool last week!
no offense: for non-usa -people, the names of the less known groups are hard to understand and the photos quite over-lit, blinding, maybe you could try to work some on that...👍🙋♀️🇫🇷
Nice turn table used for your video cover pic , must sound fantastic. Reminds me of the Viking I had back in the early 70's as a kid. Mine was like a suitcase with spkrs that attached and detached to the butt ends of the turn table part. I've still got a couple of my K-Tel records from that time, Machine Head got really beat up by that stereo, been replaced since 😂
Miki and I connected about a dozen rolling papers together, dumped an entire bag into it and smoked a giant Cheech and Chong joint with the rest of band backstage when they came through town on the Split tour. What a night haha.
Hi 👋 Who recorded that album Rubber Soul ?. Only kidding. All the Beatles albums are excellent, each album they put out took music in a new direction. I like the Small Faces, all their music is cool. I was young in the 1960s, and their singles were great. My favorite song of theirs is Afterglow of your Love. I have that Kinks album too, it's great, I like the song Apeman. Bob Marley is good. Did Lush record on the 4 AD recording label ?. Alot of good bands were on that label. I would like to have seen James Brown in concert. Good choices.
Hello, yes Lush was on the 4AD label. Great band. I was fortunate to see James Brown at the Santa Barbara Bowl in 2000. A little past his prime, but he was still on fire. He ended the show with an extended version of Sex Machine. It must have been at least 15 minutes long. Thanks for watching. 😉

I agree 100 percent regarding Star Time. It is the best box set of all time. 😉
I don't think I could put a number on how many times I've listened to the Top 100. I've purchased multiple copies of many of these, replacement vinyl, cassettes, CDs, a few 8-tracks, from the beginning, remastered, with bonus tracks, etc.

Played from LPs, 8-tracks, cassettes, some open-reel tapes, and CDs, these, and fifty or a hundred more, were the soundtrack of our lives, the playlist for all our long, late nights on the Interstate, or, long solo flights into the celestial plane. These LPs were played until the grooves gave out, for the most part. It's a bell curve, with fewer choices at the beginning and at the end, but the middle was a gourmet delight!

Can’t argue with 95 percent of those choices. Life changing albums on my end for sure. 😉

SD absolutely
Just came across your video by coincidence, once seeing Hatfield and the North I immediately subscribed
Much appreciated, thanks 😉
Nice to see Hatfield and the north getting some love great record and I also love the fact you are a music lover and don’t just listen to one genre
Much appreciated. 😉

Good to see Judee Sill and Lush on your list. I like both of those albums.🙂
Very cool!
I listened to Pretzel Logic and Kaya constantly in college when they were on tape version. Jude Sill is amazing.
Great go to albums. I will check out The Rotters’ Club (never heard if that band, so thanks for the lead).
It’s a 5 star in my book. Totally unique in every way. You’ll dig it. 😉
I play guitar and I've dabbled in jazz a little. Pat Martino is a fabulous player. He has chops up there with the greatest.
Absolutely 😉
Thanks for doing this. Intriguing list. 👍
Thanks 😉
Nice list. Thanks for sharing.

Great story I worked for Hughes markets for 19 years , great company rip.

I’ll have to check out your E.P. Congrats!
Funny that I lived in Woodland Hills between ' 74-'77 and listened to pretty much the same music at the time.
Hatfield were quite big in europe: england and germany 💕👍

Good choices, Judee Sill Heart Food is very good also👍🏼
Heart Food is amazing! That last track on side 2 called The Donor is out of this world.

@@tomrobinson5776 Lucky you seeing James Brown. Is your name Tom Robinson or is it because you like the singer from the 1970s ?.
