Great choices! I still need to dive into Dire Straits and The Smiths at some point. Pavlov’s Dog is an interesting choice…very unique album, especially the vocals! I should give that one another listen soon. Thanks for watching and commenting!! 🤘✌️

Good selection, dude..I'm still preferring lullabies to paralyze with the queen's and permanent waves with rush but it's opinions and good to talk about these things 😀
One of those bands who most people have heard of but they usually only know Reaper and/or Godzilla. Love those of course but they have so much other great stuff too! Quickly became a favourite for me once I started digging into their catalog. Thanks for watching and commenting! P.S. I noticed your spelling of “favourite”. You in Canada?
I'm 70 and have listened to over 35k pieces of music. Impossible to list ten favorites. One hundred does not do it justice. Six most. From now you may listen to something that rates top ten . What then?
I agree, this was painful to choose but thought it was a fun idea. The fact I don’t have a huge collection yet made it a little easier. We are definitely kindred spirits as I’m 28 but well on my way, I’ve heard about 3,500 albums by now! So much great music out there, it will absolutely be a lifelong journey for me. I’d be very grateful for any recommendations you might have! Thanks for watching!!

@@SpenceCurry Wow, that’s quite the list! I am familiar with some of the stuff you mentioned: big fan of the first 4 Spirit albums (especially 12 Dreams), as for Randy I’ve only heard Kapt. Kopter so far so I’ll check out Euro-American. Just been getting into Talk Talk recently. Very cool stuff. Absolutely love what I’ve heard from Scott Walker (the first 4 and Climate of Hunter). His later stuff sounds like it would be very interesting too. Those first 2 Al Di Meola records are fantastic but haven’t delved further into his catalog yet. Huge fan of Nick Drake! Pretty sure I’ve heard all of his stuff at this point. I really liked the first 2 Gary Moore albums but another I need to investigate further! I’m a huge fan of Kate Bush, really love all of her albums from the 70s and 80s! Funnily enough I haven’t checked out the live Santana stuff yet although I really enjoy their early studio albums (think I’ve heard the first 6 or so). And finally, you mentioned Family in a different comment but yeah, great band! Very interesting music and I really like most of their albums. Only heard a bit (1 album each so far) of David Sylvian, Alan Parsons, XTC, Larry Coryell and Bad Brains. The rest I’m not very familiar with at all. I really appreciate your suggestions! I added them all to my list of music to check out, it’s already huge but I’ll try my best to get to them all some day. Thanks so much!
Love songs for the deaf. Unfortunately i no longer own it I played it to death so much that I can't listen to it anymore. My favourite song on the album another love song.
It’s close to that point for me too, honestly I don’t listen to it all that often anymore but it had to be on the list because of how many times I’ve spun it over the years! Thanks for tuning in and commenting!
I’m well aware of that fact haha. Too much great music and too little time, but I’m constantly working on it! Let me know any recommendations you have. Thanks for watching!!
The lines between Rock and Metal are indeed blurred. Also the music of the 80’s blurred Punk and Metal. My line regarding Rush, They are great musicians but they suck.
Well I can’t agree with you on that as they’re one of my favourite bands, but I also totally understand they’re not everyone’s cup of tea! The world would be pretty boring if everyone liked all the same stuff anyway… Thanks for sharing your opinion
'Facelift' is a MUCH better album than 'Dirt'. I don't understand why 'Dirt' is usually rated as the better album & 'Unplugged' is better than both of them.
Dirt is the first one I heard so that’s probably why it’s my favourite, honestly they’re both fantastic! I absolutely love the MTV Unplugged session, I own the DVD of that. I agree it’s probably the best thing they ever did. Thanks for watching and commenting!
You were born in the wrong era, there is so much more you have to discover, start with the four authentic Hendrix albums, then Cream and Traffic, listen to all the early Genesis when they were five members, plus Desire and blood on tracks by Dylan, slip into Wishbone ash, CSNY and Buffalo Springfield and of course Free and Bad company, and the Sensational Alex Harvey Band, you will die and go to heaven when you hear 'Faith healer' plus listen to Blind Faith and this just for starters
Thanks for your comment. Remember this is only my top 10 and therefore I can’t fit everything in! I absolutely love the Hendrix stuff. Curious to hear what you consider the fourth album (Band of Gypsys?). Traffic is fantastic, Low Spark almost made my list and John Barleycorn is right up there too! Blind Faith is great as well, shame they only made one album… I still need to hear the other couple Cream albums but Disraeli Gears and Wheels of Fire are great. Early Genesis is probably in my top 15-20 bands, don’t love them quite as much as a few of the other prog bands from that era but that’s not meant to be a dig at all. That run from Trespass through Wind & Wuthering is just amazing! As for Dylan, the only full album I’ve heard so far is Blood on the Tracks and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I’ll have to give some of his others a listen soon. I’m also a huge Wishbone Ash fan! The debut, Argus and There’s the Rub are probably my favourite albums but I really enjoy most of them up to and including Number the Brave (that’s the last one I’ve heard so far). CSNY I’ve only heard Déjà Vu (fantastic album). Like I mentioned I’m a huge Neil Young fan and love Buffalo Springfield too, especially the “Again” album As for Free, I’ve only heard the debut so far but they’re on “The List” as I like to call it (too much stuff I still need to hear and not enough time)!! I haven’t listened to any Bad Company or SAHB yet apart from some songs here and there, but I will get to them at some point soon. Anyway, thanks so much for all your recommendations and thanks for tuning in! I will be featuring much more 70s rock in the future so don’t hesitate to subscribe if that sounds good to you. Cheers 🤘🤘
