The reason so many ask for this live version is because so many have only found Nightwish since UA-cam and this song. This is a definitive concert because this singer, Floor Jansen, took so many songs to a different level. I, like many, have listened to both previous singers and find them lacking in something that Floor brings. Be it charisma, versatility, empathy or just her interpretation of every song. This does mean that every studio version of every song here will be one of the previous singers. Either Tarja Turunen (1996-2005 operatic) or Anette Olzon (2007-2012 pop). You won't be disappointed by any studio recording by them I'm sure but mostly not for me. Nightwish are predominantly a live band and that is where Floor ( 2012- present) shines. Any song from this Wacken 2013 concert is great but for something more metal maybe try Romanticide. Greetings from the UK.

General Gabriel of the Nightwish army has a definitive list of all the best versions of their songs and is well worth using as a guide. When you want to go further on the path of our 1.83m (6ft.+) tall Dutch Valkyrie Queen Floor Jansen besides Nightwish, here is some background information on the best and most versitale female singer of our time. Floor joined the band 'After Forever' in 1997 at the age of 16. Here are some of my favourites: ‘Energize me’; Monolith of Doubt’ and Dreamflight’. Floor attended the then new Rock Academy in 1999 and graduated in 2003. She also studied 2 years at the Conservatory (1 year Music Theatre and 1 year Opera). 'After Forever' disbanded in 2009 and Floor started her own band 'Revamp' from scratch. Here she experimented with different vocal styles within one song from full operatic to death growls in seconds. Here are some examples: ‘Misery’s no Crime’, ‘Wild card’ and ‘Disdain’. Besides managing a band on her own she also did a lot of vocal coaching and as she is a perfectionist, she wants to do everything at 100%+. Eventually she had to pay the price and got a burnout. She had just recovered when end of september 2012 the call came from Nightwish to fill in for the remainder of the North American Tour at first as their second singer Annette got ill. Floor had just 48 hours to learn the whole setlist. There is a documentary made of this world tour: ‘Please learn the setlist in 48 hours’ Floor joined Nightwish after this iconic Wacken concert in 2013 as permanent member of the band. Floor continued to perform with 'Revamp’ also, but it was clear that she could not combine the two for much longer, so 'Revamp' disbanded in 2016. Floor did a side project called 'Northward' where she dived into the Hard Rock scene. The song 'While Love Died is a must see. Her stunning performances on the Dutch TV show 'Beste Zangers 2019' gave her at last some more recognition in her home country where she was relatively unknown until then. There are numerous guest appearances with other bands to find on UA-cam. To see how to get a crowd of metalheads silenced and in awe watch her featuring with the band 'Epica' and the song 'Stabat Mater Dolorosa’ and to see her in full opera mode, watch her rendition of 'O Mio Babbino Caro' from Puccini. As live concerts were cancelled and home isolation due to the Covid situation, Floor discovered UA-cam in these years. Mindblowing covers, chats with her idols and other singers, vocal masterclasses, personal insights and so much more. She even made a video reacting to herself singing Ghost Love Score at Wacken. Considering that she was a stand-in, she had the crowd of 82,000 + in the palm of her hand. Shortly after this she was asked to join the band permanently.
It was Wacken 13 GLS which blew me away and introduced me to Floor and Nightwish. The next girl to blow me away was Andra Ariadna. Sound out her cover of GLS.

Because Floor had only been with the band for 10 months at this point, all songs she was singing were written for the previous two singers, so the studio versions are nothing like the live versions. They are about to release their third album since Floor joined, so some tracks where it could be worth seeing the official studio video first are "Noise" and "Shoemaker". Most others, just stick with the live.
It is very much recommended to click on those subtitles. On first view it just is hard to grasp the lyrics. In this case it is all in the title "Ghost Love Score". It is about a previous singer that announced she would leave, but had not yet left, a love that is gone but still lingering.
Go with the official live video next time. This is slowed down a bit, because it is a BlueRay or DVD rip and the process of ripping it slowed it down by about 4%.
