So Vitamin R is the name for Ritalin the ADHD medicine. In the video Pete is sitting at his work desk “daydreaming”, so all of the pictures and objects from the video are objects and pictures on his desk and office walls. The song is more about pushing Vitamin R onto people instead of letting their creativity come through, then once you take the meds, you become “controllable” and a slave to it or “the man”. With knowing what Vitamin R is, look back at the lyrics and the song and video will make perfect sense, except for Joe’s shirt….I guess he didn’t take his Vitamin R and forgot it? 😅🫶🫶🤘🎤🎶 LOVE YOUR REACTIONS AND VIDEO’S!!!! Self-Destruction is an awesome Chevelle song! Check it out!
No this song is about how a friend of the lead singer got a terrible drug addiction then went to rehab but the lead singer wanted to be there for his friend but was too busy touring to go home and help his friend
@@ivanpabon2741 you and the other dude are correct it is about his friend but also about vitamin R which like the other guy said is called Ritalin which his friend just so happened to get addicted to
@@danielcook4712 Also my least-favorite, but that's when they were still in their formative years. More of a Tool influence on that record than any that followed after.
Vena Sera is my personal favorite. The riff to Humanoid is fucking disgusting. I could see any album being someone's favorite though. Their consistency is underrated.
@@richardsinclair7661 yea I think that’s the problem. It’s kind of like tool without everything that makes tool good. Everything after point # 1 makes one of my favourite bands.
I really enjoy your reaction videos! There's a bunch of REACTION content creators out there but your channel is great, keep up the good work! VITAMIN R is for the drug RITALIN, in his THE MAKING OF documentary, he mention this song was about a friend of his that was on that particular drug
Vitamin r is ritalin as has been mentioned but the song itself was written about one of petes best friends who was incorrectly prescribed and became addicted to it
My #1 song, and I can put it on repeat for days. Everything about this song will give me goosebumps. The guitar riff intro is so simple but elegant. The drum sequence is just mwuah with the lack of symbols (some drummers overuse them imo). The lyrical range is so satisfying. I'm a huge bass head, and i get lost in that rhythm. My 2nd favorite song of all time is their "Sleep Walking Elite". Followed by Meg Myers "Numb"
I hope you'll revisit Chevelle and do some of their newer songs, like Mars Simula and Self Destructor. They have really grown musically since their earlier work, but Pete's voice is still just as emotive and calming. Also, the band members are all in their mid-late 40s now, so it's extra funny that you're dad-worrying about the lack of a shirt, haha. STARSET
Ya know, I have listened to this song for years and had no idea it was in six until you mentioned it. Never paid much attention to that. No wonder I liked it so much.
I liked this one a lot. Great song. I hear what you’re saying about Broadway vocals. He annunciates. Lead singer is also very good looking. Looks like he could be Harry Styles’ big brother.
chevelle oh you opend a box of experiences thar, wonder whats next album = when i just wanna tell the world to get lost , (edit) oh darn realised you already went into that rabbit hole, time to see the others reactions , cheers
It was apperently about a friend of his who was misdiognosed with ADD and so had to take Ritaline from the doctor, but got addicted and kind of ruined his life in some ways. It is a sad song. Ritaline is litterly a kind of drugs and not meant for everyone
Same with Breaking Benjamin 😅 Their lyrics are very vague and seemingly disconnected but you have to read them like an epic poem. While each phrase is poetic in itself, there is a narrative. You just have to pull back to see it.
Why you tellin someone who is reacting and is getting into the music to stop reacting or play along. If you don't like interruptions, go listen to the song on its own.
dude every time he gets so genuinely concerned for where joe's shirt went it makes me laugh uncontrollably
Can you do “The Clincher” by Chevelle?! The bassist wears a shirt! :D

This whole album is gold still their best imo
I don’t have a favorite album just a least favorite. Point #1

Bless up for doing all these chevelle reactions. 🙏🏼
First time watching and enjoyed your ability to break down parts so quickly. One of my all-time favorite songs, this was fun!
I love that you said Chevellions! I know that’s right!
My all time favorite Chevelle song and in my top 5 songs of all time. I feel like a kid again hearing this and couldn't be happier.

Chevelle is 🔥, criminally underrated
One of my favorite bands to jam to back when I was learning drums
Chevelle goes hard. You can tell Pete and Co are big fans of Maynard and Tool (their inspiration)
Was waiting for this 🤘

This song is everything to me.
the Broadway comment was aimed at Chester from LP last time, if I'm not mistaken
Some people like to refer to Chevelle as "Tool Lite". Love both of these bands too

Yass. This was my gateway song into harder music. Thanks Midnight Club 2.

DEFTONES should be next
Joe's well fit, he needs no shirt and he knows it, we don't want him in a shirt. LOL
Love the chevelle reactions. R is probably reference to Ritalin.
And it makes totally sense when listening to the lyrics
Not probably. Is about it.

Vitamin R is Ritalin
I believe vitamin R is a reference to Ritalin. Though I could very easily be mistaken.
Vitamin R(italin)
You have GOT to do Mars Simula
Ice Nine Kills - Farewell II Flesh
He has baconnnn 🥓
What does 7 BY mean?
He's doing 7 songs by an artist
I barely understand any of chevelle s lyrics. I don’t understand them😭
Same with Breaking Benjamin 😅

You gotta react to the new bring me the horizon song it’s so goooood!!!
The song was written about Ritalin and how it numbs your personality and the video shows the attention span of people with ADD. Hope this helps.
Song is all about cooking and selling drugs
It might be radiation treatment
Remorse
Stop interrupting songs. Also stop touching ur piano.
Do you troll around UA-cam and tell people to stop doing stuff? Sounds like so much fun for you!
Why you tellin someone who is reacting and is getting into the music to stop reacting or play along. If you don't like interruptions, go listen to the song on its own.
