Being told that I have Chronic Kidney Disease was scary and overwhelming. I was too afraid to ask any questions. Thanks for the input. You are a life saver.
You have no idea how much relief and stress you took off of me in just 40 seconds! Im 32 years old and was diagnosed with type 1 dibetes when i was 9. I was diagnosed with stage 3a diabetic kidney disease two days ago, thought my life was over, and loss the will to keep living. It is so comforting to hear that I may never need dialysis or a kidney transplant. My eGFR is 54. Hopefully with losing weight, managing my diabetes (A1C was 5.8), and blood pressure will stop any progression. Again, thank you so much!!!
In addition to the video, this comment of yours literally just took a lot worry off my shoulders and renewed some hope. I've only just been diagnosed, and just haven't been able to get out of my head that my life is going to end soon. It's hard not to think of the worst! Thank Thank you for sharing!

Check parents for KD history 9. Control diabetes and high blood pressure 10. Find good resource on kidney health/ Diet
Who has time to do all that crap when you do dialysis 3 times a week 3 and a half hours each session. I currently am dealing with severe depression, ocd, and anxiety so just getting to dialysis is daunting! I will be dead by the time they find a kidney.

Hi Michelle I have the same thing. No BP . No diabetic but still have CKD . Can please tell how are you doing. And how long did you have this issue. Thank you 😊
Year ago (2021) woke up from hearth Cath and told both I needed ASAP by-pass surgery and had Kidney disease. All I could think of at time was my older brother had died of such a combination. Was back in hospital last month and given CKD Stage 3 diagnosis. However, the only real explanation received has been from "Dr. UA-cam". Medical types, in this observation, get so used to all this they forget the patient does not know what they know.
My kidney disease was caused by years of psychiatric drugs and years of Prilosec. I am not in stage 4. My nephrologist would not give me a prescription to see a renal dietican. He said no diet or medicine could not help me anymore. I am preferring not to get dyalys because I have many other health issues, also I am 76 years old
He just always keeps saying that nothing can be done to reverse kidney disease. Basically he’s just trying to tell us that we are going to die from kidney disease and failure bc the big Pharma also refused to help us to make a successful treatment or cure for us. The big Pharma and the doctors go hand in hand.
I'm getting lots of conflicting information. White rice only vs brown, wild, etc and only white bread, including french bread and sourdough - no brown or multi - grain. How do I know what's okay?
Can you stabilize with Proteinuria stage 3a ckd with food? He is high on Potassium, and is on Invokana - but Inv. has caused GFR to drop 10 pts in 6 months - just since they prescribed it. His Nephron isnt talking, and he didnt have Protei urea 8 months ago.
I don't have diabetes but I have slightly elevated blood pressure, which I am tackling with exercise. I have arthritis in my knees and sometimes it is so painful to walk, that I just don't go out. Have decided to go out anyway, and just put up with the pain, and make a real concerned effort during the next two weeks in order to bring it down, but what I want to know is - what IS kidney disease. Everyone is using this term, but no-one has actually explained what it is? I have a slightly reduced kidney function, (am aged 62) but does this mean I have kidney disease? I am guessing not, but I am worried all the same. I also have slightly elevated uric acid levels. Does this go hand in hand with kidney disease?
Basically kidney disease is where the nephrons in your kidneys no longer filter out the toxins in your blood from what you drink/eat. High blood pressure, diabetes, and COVID will accelerate the kidneys demise. Hope that helps.
Starting January next year, I’m gonna stop taking medicine for my gout and stage 4 kidney disease because I have withdrawn my last penny on my account after 4 years w/out income. Goodbye cruel world. Hope to find peace and comfort in the after life.
Jesus came that you might have life and life more abundantly. God didn't just plonk us on this earth to abandon us. He sent Jesus to save us from the penalty of sin (eternal death) and all its side effects, one being ill health. Salvation through Jesus gives us eternal life and prosperity in this life. So don't despair and feel hopeless. Believe in Jesus, believe that he died and was raised from the dead. Ask him into your life and put your trust in him. Seek to know him, he has a special plan for your life. He is able to change your financial situation and your health, nothing is too difficult for him.
