We all believe that doing whatever we like to do is giving us freedom. But it's not, we lock ourselves up by many vices and they control us, well, that's the opposite of "freedom".
To be free of them takes work, a lot of work, and Bas has been working it for a long time now, as he will say in this video: "Three years ago I thought it wouldn't be possible because this is much harder than I anticipated, but now I realize it IS possible, we just need to be stronger than ever".
Since there are a lot of different vices out there, you have to first recognize them and then you can start working on them.
Good luck with joining the good fight, you will come out the other end a much happier person when you do, that's a promise!
OSU (this is a Karate greeting, comes from two Japanese words, OSHI which means PUSH, and SHINOBU which means ENDURE. So, to PUSH & ENDURE, trust me, you are going to need it, so once it gets tough, give yourself a big OSU! Godspeed

@OfficialBasRutten Practicing Catholic here, I was so glad you've come home especially in this period of crisis we're experiencing in the Catholic Church. First I think with people like El Guapo on our side we stand a fighting chance, second you should know this video is helping a lot a friend of mine who's fighting addiction demons.
      Thank you Bas🙏

Yeah anout that I heard him talk, he mostly spoke about how he saw ghosts when he as was young and basically now believes in a higher power . He said nothing about Jesus Christ dying or realizing he needed a saviour !!?? He said he goes to a Catholic Church now and he is happier! DID I MISS SOMETHING ?

This is just like a passage i read in the bible yesterday. It was the book of Matthew, it went something like this... "Don't make promises you can't keep, it is better you don't make promises at all, you either do it, or you don't"... That really stuck with me as it is what i really needed to hear, i am eating healthier but i need to lose a few extra pounds and you Bas really drove it home with this, so thankyou.

Bas, thank you so much for speaking truth and sharing this. I had 90 days of sobriety last year. I was in the AA program, but I hadn't started to work the steps. My disease told me I was different and I could "use responsibly". What followed was a 8 month relapse where I went back to everything I was doing before and as the program says, things got worse, not better. The first time I got sober, hearing Mark Coleman's story was a huge influence on me. During my relapse, I came across this video. I began using the Exodus 90 app, as you suggested. I still wasn't clean and sober but the seeds were being sown. It is now April 2nd, 2024, the worst of the withdrawals are behind me and I have 4 days clean and sober. I'm back in the program and I'm eager to "stick around until the miracle happens" and to work the steps to realize a fundamental personality change. When I tell people my story, I will always mention Bas Rutten and this video. Thank you sir. My family is beyond grateful and relieved. And I am so thankful to have another chance at this beautiful thing called life. All glory to God and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I needed to hear this, Thanks Bas. Right now, I'm bed ridden from a heart condition and waiting for it to improve. Yet, there are still things within my control. I can change the time I wake up. I can stop vaping. I can improve my diet. I can commit to making my videos on schedule. I can't do much physically until my heart condition resolves, but I can commit to the little bit that I can safely do. Sometimes (especially if you run into a health problem), you feel like life is completely out of your control. I realize now, that's simply not true. I can improve my life, and set myself up for an even better life once I'm better.
    Once again, thank you Bas.

There are success stories on the web of people coming off of transplant lists because of supplementation. Good luck and God Bless Tom....Gene :)

Bas I was a kid when you were fighting and recently I’ve been watching my elderly parents and family leave me one at a time. Suffered a few injuries and training slowed down after 20 years of lifting and ups and downs and loosing my reasons for training. The vanity aspects are gone and now it’s more of just a routine and I’m back training back in church talking to the Lord more and proud of my Catholic faith and not apologizing for any of it. The way you broke it down makes it so easy to understand with Harvard example and all! Finding myself lost in life just getting into my 40s trying to find reasons to keep going I found myself mesmerized at your fighting style one night captivated watching the oldies all night and then hearing your life story relating to the early years with dealing with certain things really took it home! Then to see you were Catholic and one more story about the soul well never could I describe an experience that I personally had up until you told your story of the surgery room light could I understand what I experienced! Up from when it happened at 19 years old until this year few weeks ago when I heard you describe the soul I would keep it to myself only thinking of it as oh wow what a fun night we were indulging in our vices and instead of one let’s do 5 aww man we were having fun, yeah right but after the emergency room story I now know 100% about the soul and it not only enforced my faith in our branch insertion Messiah but understand what happened when I looked down and saw myself laying on the ground with my friends standing there talking waiting for me to wake up! Thank you for all your work and wisdom I idolize no man but your my mentor and favorite Catholic my friend ! I even had my elderly mother listening to your stories recently and brought us together for a moment! Do you have a email or any way I could reach out ? Either way thank you sir for all that you do keep the faith and you’ll be in my prayers sir!

Did u know that cold showers actually slows aging? Instead of ur cells constantly degrading as usual, apparently they kinda get shocked into rejuvenating instead

    • @wilhelmhesse1348
      @wilhelmhesse1348 7 місяців тому

      @@nSpiraliArchitectb alot of benefits:
      1. Weight gain is less because your body has to boost it's metabolism (hence burns fats in the process) which increases body heat as a result of a higher liver and heart rate to compensate for body temp loss whenever you have a cold shower
      2. Discipline in other areas - I'm on a calithenics and jogging journey and the cold showers have greatly helped me achieve certain milestones with it by keeping the focus to be able to endure physical stress
      3. Save on gas and electricity bills lol 💯
      4. It prepares you for many kinds of scenarios where you can bath anywhere without needing a warm water, say you have a gas and electricity blackout for a week! If you are used to cold showers and as long as your water supply isn't affected you are good to go!
      5. Cold water is by far better than warm water when it comes to easing the pain from muscle cramps in my opinion especially after you have exercised, though it depends on the type of injury one has as some injuries might require hot water others cold.

Best piece of advice I have ever heard. I have quit drugs, cigarettes, alcohol, caffeine. I don't follow politics or religion. The vices I am working on now are sugar and anger. Nobody is ever free of working on themselves. Wish you the best of luck on the rest of your journey.

You are doing great, impressive my friend! Sugar and anger, sugar just take 10% less each week (it's what I did) and anger is a hard one, but it's getting there now. Great Man.
We are not made of stone or some kind of metal alloy. Even stone or metal alloys have the weaknesses. Bas is my Hero from childhood as a Fighter. Now, when I'm 42 He's my Hero as a Man. 100% of professionalism. When I am watching His movies, it brings my memories about hundreds of "kung-fu" movies from the '70s, where "old masters" always starts to "preaching" their students 😅 but it's not a kind of preaching - it's a sharing of life experience. The way of stoic-mind. Sky isn't a limit - mind is the limit. Thank you Mr. Bas. I wish you lot of health and inner peace ✌️ All the best for You and Your Family. BR form Poland.
