- Bas has lived a crazy life, a fun life in where he did a lot of good, but he also did a lot of bad things.
He was always against the Church but then things started happening to him, things he couldn't just ignore and "swipe away", and when they kept popping up, he got back into his Faith.

I completely agree! Real men, tough men follow Jesus. When a real man puts Jesus first and follows Jesus then that man always puts others first and is thinking about the well being of others because that's what Jesus is doing. Man being the head of his wife ONLY works if God is the head of that man. Then that man will always put his wife before himself. Real men don't do whatever they wanna do when they feel like doing it because that man is about the Lords business and the Lord's business is helping others and saving souls.

@@irishjedi2522 Really? Interesting exegesis with a looooooooooooong stretch, if any. It's good to examine the Bible, criticize it. For critique to be valid you need to examine it. There are many weird verses/passages we could use to reject the Bible as Godly inspired. Is our interpretation correct? How do we verify/falsify?
But while focusing on "disproving the Bible" is one way to go, why not turn it around and study/examine the other side: look at the claimed verification/arguments for it being really "holy", study prophecy. It helped me to find the truth. Be honest to yourself and you will come to your conclusion.
Hey Bas. I went through a tough situation in the beginning of the COVID-19. It was not about a regular COVID disease. It was about my mind. I was kind of lost in my life before 2020. Personal issues. I was crazy during Covid lockdowns. I went to psychiatry clinic for some days. I had some mystical experience that nobody would believe. No pill could treat me. I think I was converted to Christian faith by the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. For the love of God I am good today. Amen.

Hi Bas, I am a Pentecostal Christian who after having found the Lord on February 7th 2011 have never looked back. I've been clean of cocaine and booze for 12 years. In February 2024 I will celebrate 13 years of sobriety. I have had similar paranormal events in my life as well. I used to suffer sleep paralysis for years. Then shortly after finding God and living like a monk for 2 and a half years sleep paralysis left me completely. All my life I used to laugh at Christians but then I became one and I realize it is no joke living for Jesus. To find true peace and joy I gave up my worldly ways and Jesus gave me the best life I've ever had. God bless you richly Baz. Please keep preaching and testifying of God's greatness. Amen brother 🙏🙏🙏

Some years later, the Lord put it on my heart to pray for you after I was radically saved through a divine encounter with God, myself. I totally forgot about that until seeing your video just now. I really appreciate that prayer because I believe all of them together made it happen, I was just like the non believers, same stupid comments, Todd Bjornathon a fighter who also fought Pancrase, a long time ago, like 94 he was already thinking (he told me later) "what ifBas would be a Christian"? Because I was nuts, so thank you and everybody!
I completely relate. I got drunk with friends at 14 and jumped off a 6 foot fence and tried to do a flip and landed flat on my head. The only thing that happened was my neck hurt a few days. Had xrays as an adult for other reasons. Nothing there. Total miracle. God only gives you what you can handle and at that time I had enough troubles. But I always believed in him. I still cringe when I think about it, it hurt so bad even drunk. Thank you Jesus.

My roomates and I are all Catholic. We went through a Kevin James movie binge when we leaned he was a trad Catholic. I remember we all literally screamed and cheered when we first learned Bass Rutten was a practicing Catholic. Then we watched "Here Comes the Boom" in honor of you both. You're an inspiration. Probably one of the only celebrities I'd actually ever care to meet in person
Not going to lie, I watched "Here Comes The Boom" and it immediately shot up to one of my all time favorite films. My kids were all in band so there was a connection there. I was a Rocky fan and there was something for me with that. But the best part of the film wasn't the actors, the action or the relatability: to me it was the moment where Kevin James is sitting there at the dinner table, and his new coach busts out the scripture about Jacob's tenacity. Up until then I was watching a good film with a genuine message. I saw Salma Hayek wearing a cross, I saw Henry Winkler representing Abraham, and the nod towards the 70's Revival entrance theme that would "pick up" - all these were subtle hints that this film had an underlying message. After the dinner scene, though, I realized that there was a conscious Christian effort behind the picture. I didn't know Bas even had a channel like this until a few minutes ago. I didn't know anything about his faith. But I am not surprised. Immediately after watching the film i looked up who this Bas Rutten fellow was. Saw his interview with Dolph Lundgren. Had a sense that he was Christian - but seeing him boldly presenting himself here as such is extremely heartening. And I'm glad he brought up the whole hand gesture revelation. Not many in his world willing to place themselves in that line of fire.

Inspiring testimony brother Bas! I'm more of a Baptist, but came to believe at age 26 during night security work. The most important thing is that we rest assured in Jesus's perfect work, not our own - lest we be boastful. God the Son has gloriously been the good person we ought to have been and died the death that we deserve due to our sin, so that we may humble ourselves in admitting as such, believe and receive eternal life. Amen.

Does anybody besides me understand how detrimental to the gospel this is by saying you can go to heaven by being a good person that is what the Catholic Church thinks that is what the Pharisees believe this is dangerous it is the free gift of God nothing you can do to urn it there's a ditch on both sides of the road you can be sleeping with everybody and drinking and doing drugs all the time or you can be on the other side of the road saying that you're a good person relying on your own morality they both end up in the same place
I LOVED to hear you returned to the Faith, I am Baptist but we serve the same God. I was lucky enough to meet you at the Bas Rutten invitational in Denver, my brother and me drove from Louisiana to Denver for him to fight in heavy weight. He had never been in a fight before, had no training and had never even been hit before, He made it to the finals and fought Ron Waterman. He got to find out fighting wasn't for him. Praise Jesus! Thank you Bas! I was reminded of when I was seven years old, in school. We were working on spelling and vocabulary. I asked, “Who invented language?” Schools want us to believe we evolved from cavemen. And those cavemen evolved from grunting to creating language and naming every thing… seems like a pretty wild jump! And you would think that whoever named and invented everything would have left a record of doing so. I know I would have. I am also Dutch. In America since 12 years old, now 76 years old and full of the Holy Spirit. Believe me, we are at life's end as we know it. As a born again believer, my believe is in Jesus. The world is about to go to war. Before any bomb is dropped Jesus will take out his people. Nothing is more important then having Jesus in your heart. My most desire is knowing that you have Him in your heart. If so, I will personally see you in Heaven. Make sure you are born again and if not sure, invite Him into you heart and you will be born again. Blessings.

I’m tuned in Bas. Your life sounds like mine. The accidents, falling out of trees, martial arts and maybe one paranormal experience were the hairs all of a sudden, stood up on the back of my neck. I am also a pragmatic person as well and for some reason I started reading the New Testament again just before bed and saying the Lord’s Prayer in the morning. I had a car wreck in 1992. I Had a severe concussion, I had the accident on Monday but I woke up on Wednesday. I experienced exactly what he talked about - floated above my body , seeing everything that happened while I was unconscious.

My brother had the exact same experience in 1983. He is now 60 after two transplants to hip replacements he still lifting weights. He explained about the floating, and he actually was able to tell the surgeons of what he saw he saw light afterwards. I said il the voice that it was not his time, and he returned to his body. They certainly make it appear like end times since they use Revelation events like a blueprint. I think "this is it" but I can understand other interpretations. Ive been a fan for years Bas. Here recently, ive had some mind blowing synchronicities, and Christ opened up my heart. I was an occultist and hateful towards Christ and anything to do with religions. Its been a hard pill to swallow for me, for all my earthly knowledge, to accept. This video just popped up on my algorithm. Thank you for your testimony. Listen brother, it's unreal that we are all getting to witness this, but more and more people around the world are having the same experience.
We are lucky to get to witness what happens to the world when we are left to our own devices.
It's happening right infront of our eyes, society is truly falling apart, the statistics are very clear - wickedness is through the roof.
The 'trick' is that the young born into it do not know any better, they become wicked too.
There is no respect, only quick violence, like mindless animals with no concern for the consequences.
Of course, we cannot live like this, it is self-destruction.
It is very clear we need structure and guidance as a mass.
Individually we are not stupid, but as a mass we follow the herd.
How can this be ? Why can't humans behave better on their own ?
The laws of the universe demonstrate the will to live, all the laws point towards preserving existence.
Even Science now is saying that the laws of the universe were fine tuned for life.
If one single thing was off, then existence couldn't work at all.
So then the creator of this existence made the laws for us to live on and as efficiently as possible.
Anything that leads to destruction cannot be of the creator.
It is the opposite.
It is this force that is always waiting for us and has been evident throughout our known history.
Out of all the beliefs and religions, Christ changed all that.
And you know what are the two most desired values requested of us in The Bible ?
Righteousness and Forgiveness.
Do you know how important they happen to be for humans ?
Forgiveness breaks the chain of destruction but without Righteousness to stand up for what's right, we get walked all over.
We are supposed to be strong, but for what is good !

Bas, I have always thought you were the man. I fought amateur a decade ago. Some life got in the way, long story short, I got sidetracked. Thank you Bas, I needed to hear this today as I felt I was getting lost in my faith. I have similar stories of sleep paralysis and protecting my daughter. For example, There was a crew cutting down branches at the apt I used to live at. At one moment I told my daughter to move away from the window where she was sitting. Sure enough a branch came threw the window and glass was everywhere, including one piece that went through her sweater, that she wasn’t wearing, and into the couch. My daughter was unharmed. But anyway God is good and we must not get lost. May God bless everyone in this comment section!

I had a similar ‘pressing’ experience when I was a new Christian. Instinctively I said internally (couldn’t move or speak) “in the name of Jesus” and suddenly it was gone and the light returned to what was an utterly dark room. Instead of being afraid I lay there filled with joy and wonder, praising God - I understood at that point it was real, the power and authority in the name of Jesus!
My wife slept through the whole thing.
Some time after I met a big scary, ex-crim bikie guy who came to church after having several of these experiences, thrashing around in bed. He ditched his satanic bible and paraphernalia and was turning it around. I also know other Christians who have had similar experiences…

@@OfficialBasRuttenWhen my brother died in another country, 2 hours after his death in a car accident my mother woke up ( 11 o clock at night ) and she sayd that my brother was in her dream singing with voice and guitar "the rich and the poor go to the same place". She didn't know she died, but was emotional from the dream and woke up. Next morning she received the call.

Dude your channel is great. I appreciate you sharing wisdom. I had a similar experience in Coachella Valley. One night in my sleep I couldn't breath, I saw this dark figure hovering above me, and it felt like it was trying to choke me. It had these long straight hair and dark eyes. But then something incredible happened. I called upon my spirit guide, and suddenly, there he was, holding a staff. He spun it like a warrior and somehow freed me from the grip of that entity. He then created this protective circle around me. That was in 2002.

Started my catechesis last december and have been on my journey in joining the Catholic Church. Since then so many people I love and respect have proclaimed their faith or have come back to the church HALLELUJAH 🙏

I spent 15 years in maximum security prison for heavy crimes. There I surrendered to God.
Many years later I have written a few books, have more on the way.
The key to change deep inside is Spiritual. Nothing else cures a demonic or evil spirit. So it was with me.

Hey Bas. I remember my late brother sent me a video of your testimony from about five years ago. I was only after returning to the church after been away for nearly 30 years at the time. I am very thankful to our Lord Jesus for pulling me out from the mire and to you Bas for sharing your faith in such a beautiful and inspiring way. May I ask for prayers for my brother who died a young man in 2022. He was after coming back to the faith too just some years prior to our Lord calling him home. God is good! i met boss at an event in Colorado when he was coaching Ludwig. He was very respectful. A true martial artist. I was a believer back then. He was my favorite MMA fighter at the time...still on my top 3 list. This video makes me so happy. Nothing like knowing one of your inspirations will be in eternity with the Savior. Dear Bas thank you for talking about this my mother died a year ago after a very long sickbed, during her passing I started praying to god and afterwards I started going to church because I believe he really listened I have always had a strong conviction in my beliefs her passing brought me closer to god and I met a lot of good people there. Even the thief being crucified on the cross next to Jesus was saved when he simply asked Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom and Jesus said, "today you will be with me in paradise." I'm not sure when my time will come but I want to be that guy too so I pray, Jesus remember me.

Your oppressive presence in bed story...my wife and I had a similar experience in our first place after getting married.
I remember waking up in the middle of the night and seeing a what I can only describe as a dark cloud above me and I remember the same feeling of not being to move my body, but I could lift my arms. I reached up trying to touch the dark shape. At that moment my wife stirred and tried to sit up and I remember putting my arm across her chest to hold her down. Then we both nodded off.
The next morning we didn't really say anything to each other about it at first until we both said at basically the same time "did something weird happen last night?" She described what she felt and saw and I confirmed it.
We called the landlord the next day to see how we could get out of our contract and she asked if we experienced weird stuff. She totally knew!
There's definitely a world beyond our perception.

I’ve just Reuinted my relationship with God even though we know He’s always with us. Im Not perfect but reading my Bible praying watching sermons and teachings.
Bas I really always enjoyed you from your fighting days to your bar fight videos and now these videos. Really always saw something in you it’s amazing God says you’ll know them by their fruit. Even without knowing I knew we were brothers in the faith.

Hi Bas. Thanks for this video. It's always great to find out one of your role models are a true Christian. I believe that you are setting a great example to today's young men on how to be a man, physically and spiritually. As a fellow martial artist (kickboxing) I have always enjoyed seeing you in action and learning from you. I know the chances that we will ever meet is less than zero but now I know I will meet you in Heaven! (I hope they have pen and paper for a signature! LOL)

Bas I have been saying this for 40 yrs something cannot come from nothing. My uncle said yeah well what is nothing? I said close your eyes there's no light and no dark because dark would be something right? I told him non existence is nothing . I asked God for 1 thing when I was 11yrs old and he didn't answer my call .now I'm 52 I know he did it to teach me and make me stronger..I use to be scared to die but not anymore. Now that's not to say I want to cause I feel I have something yet to do or accomplish or help someone else.. been watching you since 1993 nice to see you think outside the box in life just like you do as a martial artist.. thanks for the video.
Bas, I've been watching your martial arts videos and other stuff for many years. It helped me when I was doing my own training. You've been a fountain of wisdom for me all the way. Even my daughter - who suffered a lot as you did with crippling eczema and asthma but who kept fighting, literally, as she is a young Muay Thai competitor and has been for years now ... Well funny enough I came back to my own Catholic Faith about a year ago after such a long period away and I've never been happier. I totally understand where you are coming from Bas. I’m Baptist. I have worked around a lot of Catholics but never has one shared the gospel or witnessed to me. Many people from the various Protestant denominations have witnessed to me. I’m not saying go beat the Catholics over the head. I believe there will be Catholics in heaven along with other people we never expected. I’m the worst sinner I personally know. My soul is prepared. BAS! I have a testimony similar to when you fell out of the tree! I fell off of a stage backwards. I was putting a microphone back on a mic stand at the front of the stage. As i turned around somehow i just stepped off of the stage. I should have landed on my head, neck, or back, but somehow i landed parallel to the stage on my feet. As soon as my feet hit the ground my knees buckled and i sort of rolled out on my back. It felt like someone laid me down. Didnt hurt in the slightest. It actually took me a few moments to wrap my head around what had just happened.
Awesome Bas. I became Catholic 2yrs ago. I was an anti Catholic Protestant since i was 18 (45 now). After a lot of research and prayer, I could no longer deny the Apostolic Succession, and authority of the Church that Christ founded through Peter. This is so awesome that many are becoming Catholic despite our current problems.

my life is so empty ive tried God and failed him time and time again...... i guess ive chosen rebellion instead of being lukewarm........ and yet it was that emptiness as a teenager that drew me into pornography and into masturbation because i literally felt dead...i heard people in high school talking about it so i did it cause i had nothing left.....and to this very day that emptiness drains me and i turn to porn every time but it only destroys my life......

Going through tough time at a new job that I don't think suits me. My stress levels are enormous. But each day I have a growing desire to connect with God. I have been doing lots of introspection on this.
