    Timing your liver shots with your opponents breath is some seriously next level shit. Bas is the all time leader in MMA of ending fights due to liver shots. It's probably because of the open palm rules of pancrese, but Bas has eaten more livers than Hannibal Lecter.

    A lot of champions can’t explain what they do very well. Bas is such a great teacher. So clear and understandable.

      He was the first online instructor, so to speak, I ever had... and he's not, again, the last. I learned so much and practiced so much I learned from him.... and for the exact reasons you listed.

    As a boxing coach this is good stuff. Practice this stance and combos over and over keeping it fluid and always ready to switch up to keep your opponent off rhythm. Thanks for this content.

    He's telling the truth about the double jabs at th 10:55 mark. I'm 6'4" 250lbs and was sparing with a stronger shorter guy so I used the double jab method and that was the lesson I learned about seeing flashes of light. The boy got me just exactly like he said. One teenage lesson never forgotten. Thanks

    Still use your "Bas Rutten's MMA workout", especially when travelling, had those mp3s on my phone for a 2 decades, probably saved my life (long story involving a coronary stent).

    I saw Bas Rutten back in the late 90's at a DRAKA event at the Olympic Auditorium in Los Angeles... I was buying some beer and he was standing right behind me... When I turned around and saw him he bowed.. I bowed back and I've been bowing as I shake people's hand ever since...

    I dont think Bas even realizes how respected & what a legend he already was in the early 90s & early 2000s and even now I still would love to see him and Rogan commentating all the msm mma events but i understand the bs politics and Bas wont sell out for money. Bas is a living legend!

    I still use the O2 trainer been using it for a little while now cant remember when i bought it, under a year and I can say my breath is definitely better. I get deeper breathes! I love it. Now lets talk about the liver shot!

    i believe the foot pivot during a hook is taught this way to protect the knee of the student from injury induced by the rotation
