This deck looks like the kind of deck people would build if Slay the Spire had a constructed format 😂 Absolutely absurd, I loved every minute of it!

What I love about this deck is that it gets to play Meteor Strike unironicially, the card seems like it was made so when you play it, it's a damn special occasion, in the same vein as Grand Finale, but it never feels like that because of Snecko Eye, where it just becomes a near autopick there but otherwise impossible to take, but this damn deck plays Meteor Strikes normally, and with a damn Strike Dummy to boot.

You definitely don't understand grand finale if you think it's in the same vein as meteor strike. It's a consistently good powerful card if you know how to build around it/into it AND even if you haven't/dont, with pyramid it can be good extra late game damage acceleration for the heart which sometimes silent loves that
I don't mean this to be aggressive at all, but grand finale is actually one of silents strongest cards, you just have to learn how to use it.
@@muiltinormal8329 I understand Grand Finale is a far better card than Meteor Strike, that being said, you can't deny they're both cards that when played are supposed to be immensely satisfying, my point is more that Meteor Strike can sort of be cheesed into relevancy with Snecko Eye, where Grand Finale always retains it's niche without any easy way to make it work

Watched the 14-0 video, man that was a nail-biter! Honestly was amazed that such a weird deck worked at all. But I'm hoping we get some more "Jorbs talks about every single card" someday. Have your opinions changed on any of the ones you did, given the patch and all?

I was waiting to see this one make it to UA-cam, definitely my favorite run I’ve watched recently. It was nice to see enlightenment (partially) in the spotlight for once!
I don't understand why Multi-cast wasn't picked here. It doubles energy off plasma orb normally, but here Jorbs had Chemical X so it becomes insane. *And* it can be recycled to double energy if the rightmost orb isn't a plasma orb.
Basically he just overlooked the synergies. Tunnel vision to defeat the champ.
My guess whould be that it don't help setup. Once we are setup it is good, but at that point we have basicly already won
@@Papada00 No mistake at all. Multicast needs his thing to be running in order to generate energy. And once he has his thing running, he already has all the energy he wants. Multicast is only a card getting on the way of his combo. What he really wants is consistency: seekers, card draw, exhaust, and a starting energy shot. His picks gave all that, Multicast gave none.
I was at the edge of my seat at every moment, holy fucking shit. This is a run for the ages.

I have never cried laughing at a slay the spire run, ever. First time for everything
Such an insane run. We knew it had to be good when you picked up the hyperbeam, meteor strike and double energy on turn 0. Good thing the deck didn't go bust early on but instead managed to reach its full potential. It's insane that you had so many win conditions and all the energy in the world. Really fun run not utilizing the usual Defect staples like Defrag, Echo Form, Biased Cog, etc.

The Champ fight was so masterfully played. I had no idea what his process was until the pay off. Beautiful
A few days after this run came out, I ended up getting a pretty similar run except with snecko eye. Had a pandora's box replace my starter relic, gave me hyperbeam and meteor strike as my only attacks, somehow got through act 1, got snecko, laughed for 8 hours collecting more meteor strikes and hyperbeams and I almost lost it when I bought a dolly's mirror in the store.
It's also hilarious when you get a 0 cost meteor strike and an All for One.
You know, when I first saw the thumbnail, I thought the multiple copies of Meteor Strike/Hyperbeam was hyperbole.
The run proved me wrong very quickly.

I had a A20 defect run with 3 meteor strike and 3 thunderstrike. I made it work with Pyramid and Enlightment. Also had Chem X and icecream tempest to generate lightnight orbs for thunderstike damage. Best deck ive played with defect.
Saw this live and happy to watch it again.

The irony is that the deck still needed focus to win in the end
well defect just doesn't have very many good block cards that don't use orbs unfortunately
Can you imagine if the boss used Hyper Beam as often as Jorbs did in this run?
Lucky for us, that move stuns the boss. All it does to Jorbs is cost some energy :P

Okay I have a question. How can I change which ascension level I’m trying on switch? It keeps saying I unlocked ascension 2 but won’t let me switch it to level two. I’ve tried every button. Please and thank you for the help.

Why is the middle exploding pot cheaper than the other two?
Why did he skip buffer at the end of act 2? It seems a lot of the struggle was just getting into where the deck could start cycling....that would certainly help delay the first few awkward turns of setting up.

what would happen if you got frozen core after you removed your starting relic? or does the game not allow you to get it?
you can't get a replacement relic if you got rid of your starter, I think
I know it's a year ago, but for anyone running into this: the wiki says "You must possess Cracked Core for it to appear." and it's like that for all starter relic replacements with their respective starter relics.

He also transition to a normal frost build by the end (albeit with a weird Meteor Strike infinite) so with Capacitor it's incredible
