Your video is very good and well explained. However my Dyson works fine for like just one full minute and then stops again? I have checked for any blockages everywhere, and have cleaned all filters and head roller. I have two flashing blue lights like it just needs charging, but now I have tried numerous times and I get the same scenario, a full minute of use and it seems high power. The i get the two blue flashing lights. If you can advise me I would really appreciate it.
Any luck? Mine will turn on for a minute and then flashes green light instead of blue on battery and then nothing. Wait a hot minute and it will turn on again and repeat the cycle of not working.
Hi Brian, thanks for your comment here. We are so glad to hear that our video has helped you to fix the pulsating issue you had with your Dyson! Hopefully your vacuum is working great again now!
You can actually pry off the fabric filter off it’s plastic casing of the top (long thin) filter to wash it properly. I have a spare clean filter (with casing) to be able to replace straight away and allow the other filter to fully dry. To pry it off use the tip of a sharp knife and gently pry it off. Be careful as the plastic casing is thin underneath. The second time you do this, and subsequent times, it’s much easier to pry it off. You can put it back on its casing whilst it’s damp but like in the video it must be fully dry - 24 hours - before it goes back in the machine. A second filter is handy to allow you to swap filters and not have to wait to use your Dyson.
Hi Debbie, thanks for your comment here, it's great to know how much you appreciated our video, and we hope it helps you to get your vacuum back up and running great again!
When I cleaned the debris out, I plugged in the charger. The blue lights both went on steady and then within one minute went out. It will not charge. What does that mean?
Same here. I plugged it then starts blinking blue, stopped, blinked again. Then took an air or blowout sound then died. Then blinked again, make that suction sound a couple times, and back again.
@@eSpares yep. The dirt stick at the lower joint section of the vacuum, but I didn't know the reason at the beginning why the vacuum could not work. I thought about to buy a new part to fix it. After watching the video and I found out the reason. The vacuum is perfectly fine now without spending money.
Hi , My blue light flashes when I try to turn it on and the light stays blue when charging but then after Ive charged it. it will work for 10 seconds and then it dies. Any idea what the problem is?
I have a spare battery somewhere haven’t had to use it yet, but I’m never sure if I should keep it charged or take the charger out and just set sometimes it turns on as soon as I unplug it so confusing
My v11 went dead while using (was indicating to charge as i was using it for an hour and then went off). I plugged in for charging, there is no blue light neither red (no light at all). I have been charging for more than 4 hours. And there are no lights and no power. What should I do?
DC 62: I have light, I have a "working" battery, but the damn thing dies after 2 minutes of usage. And it is NOT the battery, as this, when I try to charge it, tells me, that it IS full. Tell me rather how I can use the DC 62 by using a cord. This is quite very possible, by using the cord that came with it with the charging station, and attach the cord directly to the Dyson. However, I need to overcome the "This is not a hybrid cord/battery" limiter. But where the heck is that situated? If you can tell me where that thing is, I can use my Dyson again, which basically died within 6 months. Which, IMHO, is a tad ridiculous. Of, and, 2 years of guarantee? My hairy behind!!! The salesman refused to take the thing back, kept claiming, I did use the bloody thing wrong. Well, NO, I did not. I have severe Asperger's and severe ADHD. My Asperger's makes me to meticulously maintain my appliances, and use them properly. So no, it is not something i did wrong, no. ALAS, the salesman did not want to hear it, and thus, I got a tool that is not working AT ALL. Which brings me to another point: What gives: "We have no Battery/Cord Hybrid handheld vacuum cleaners"??? This is utter nonsense. Time to change (this), Superman!
OH, right, for the record: "The fix" I was offered: "Plug the Dyson onto the charger cord, remove the cord, hold for 20 seconds the activator, then plug the cord once more into the battery, wait 1 sec, remove the cord, and the Dyson will work." And 'lo and behold, it does. For an hour continuous work, even, no problem. But if I put the darn cord back in the battery to charge, remove the cord when done, stash it for later use? AGAIN the Dyson just quits after 1 minute usage, and I need AGAIN to do the "fix". 1) What kind of a bloody fix is this, who came up with that idea? 2) Since both the battery and the Dyson itself, thus, the vacuum cleaner, DO work (after the darn fix applied, that is), it is neither the battery nor the vacuum cleaner that is defective. So, what IS then, what causes the vacuum cleaner to just give up? It is not a "full dirt reservoir". It is not a "dirty filter". As I keep the tool meticulously in "perfect" order (Where this means, outside the normal, logical wear, obviously. One cannot keep it in "perfect" condition, as each usage brings wear and tear. Still, it is for the times it was used, in the most possible best condition, it is not that what causes the failures. But what DOES?)). Hand me *THAT* solution, so I can use my Dyson again without the constant fix each use.
V6 not turning on - blue battery light comes on and Max button flashes 5 times, Fully charged and clean except for end where Max button as don't have tools to manoeuvre this part off and too flush with casing to wedge small flat screwdriver under casing. Not a battery issue as tested with a brand new battery and same issue. Can you help please?
Mine doesn’t even turn on for even a sec I think it needs a new battery tho there is a light that turns on for a sec when I put it on the charging mount is it my charger or battery have a battery coming and I checked just the filter part tho but I kno it’s not a blockage cuz the light goes away or turn red after a sec on charging mount. So deff battery related . Any suggestions?
I wish one of these could’ve helped me. When I pull the trigger The blue lights come on steady, indicating that the battery is fine and charged but nothing happens. If I just banged the heel on my hand on the battery, then next time I pull the trigger it comes on. But sometimes no matter what I do, it will not turn on. It leads me to believe that the trigger is depressing that button inside the handle, but the charge is not getting through to the motor. So I cleaned all the connectors, and tried again. No dice. I’m at wits end.
Remove the bin, remove the two small screws one each side on the handle that hold the battery in place. Battery will slide out. Clean the visible battery contacts then try again. Make sure when you plug the charger in your battery is charging g and it’s not a knackered charger
My Dyson stick vac has a green light that comes on when the trigger is pressed (MAX lights up too if that has been pressed), but nothing is happening. All cleaned out and every other troubleshooting done I can think of
@@katiekapphahn7482 I gave it another really good cleanout and it seems to work better but still occasionally cuts out for some reason especially on "power" mode.

Plz, always check that your outlet is working. My stick wouldn’t charge and the blue light wouldn’t stay on. I plugged it into another outlet and blue light flashed and then stayed on, indicating it was charging. The top plug in in the outlet wasn’t working.

Blockage or partial blockage. Take it outside and run a hose through it or jetwash if you can’t access from the brush end
