I’ve listened to many very good blues artists and I still like Stevie Ray the best. It’s the way he signs and plays from deep within his soul like only he can. A very special man. I never get tired of SRV. He’s never boring to watch. 🥰🎸❤️
The best I can describe this song is having a Slow stagger, with a drunken but still soulful edge. This song Has a bit of ritardando if you will. He always reminds me of what a good music is.. I never get sick of his playing, he never loses me. He’s gets me listening and zeroed in.
I remember back in the 80's, thinking how lucky we were, to have Stevie, after the loss of Hendrix.....then he was taken away as well! Just think of the songs that never were! The loss between those two are immeasurable!
That tone is just out of this world... I've listened to him daily for the last ten years and it never gets tiring and I still get chills every time I listen to it....the Tone the Feel and the emotion is impossible to put into words. I'm not sure how it was humanly possible TBH. If it doesn't leave you speechless, there's something wrong with you.

Albert King said he was better than Hendrix! But, "in what way"? I'd say Hendrix was more innovative, "dreamy", and wildly creative, while SRV could rock the blues all night long, like an Energizer bunny with soul.
We sure MISS YOU Stevie !!! Was so lucky to see him 10 times before he died from Little clubs to big venues Stevie you left and indelible mark on my heart💜 I remember this outfit I think I saw him wearing it in San Francisco.
Look at the way his whole body kicks into those opening licks. I saw him in a TV interview literally roll his eyes back as he began to play, sitting down with an acoustic. He definitely went into Stevie zone. Loved him so much and still mourn the loss.
THE FINEST OF THEM ALL---THE MASTER---THE KING---NONE BETTER. I cried bitter tears when he died ..........but a day STILL hardly ever passes when I don't listen to him or play a SRV riff or two on my guitar............PRIDE AND JOY TO THE WORLD OF BLUES.........YOU ARE THE VERY BEST SRV.
he learned how to play the guitar on his own. But, the sound and attitude came from some of the greatest blues musicians who recognized the gift within him.

I LOVE reading the comments written about Stevie Ray almost as much as I love Stevie himself! Really, truly, and absolutely Stevie is in a class of his own for so many reasons. I don't think anyone else has left behind a bigger amount of amazing video and audio, both professional and bootlegged, if you cut there career at age 35 yrs, 10 months and 23 days. Does anyone else even come close?
Stevie Ray Vaughan , no one gets your music. It not the words that make the music unforgettable.. It the passion in every word along with the beat and rythm that makes the song unforgettable. To many focus on the singer not the ones who are pouring out there souls in hopes of one realizing the soul of music goes hand and hand from the singer to the rest of the band..
Its 2020 and I'm listening..This Stevie Ray Vaughan solo is so inspiring and soothing ..Great performance every time Stevie sets his feet on any stage..Double Trouble doing tremendously good..Stevie is a cool singer and his strat is at perfection mold ...coming out loud and clear..RIP Stevie..
I'm 66 now... Saw him twice in Pittsburgh... Unreal...he was the warm up for someone...I'm were catching one in the bathroom, these unreal guitar licks kept coming through the door...the place just filled up... SRV - 4 - EVER!
God why do you have to take the BEST away from us? I would have selfishly loved to watch Stevie age and come into different musical spaces. It would have been amazing I am sure! I am thankful that we got to see the bit of sparkle that we did though. RIP Stevie!
I felt like that when I discovered him and he was already dead. I was elated and devastated at the same time. I still am all these years later. He was definitely a special man and a huge huge loss🖤💙🖤
I already do realize how special Stevie Ray was and continues to be. What a phenomenal person he was. I wish he was still with us so we could show him how much he is appreciated..
Stevie Ray ya are SO MISSED sometimes I just can't listen because ya left Soooooo DAMN Soon I can't help but to cry but I know your still doing your thing in Heaven Love ya Stevie Ray ✌💙
I remember when I found out as a kid listening to his music long after he had passed, that feeling of knowing he was gone I still get it when I listen to him. My parents were devastated when it happened. So much pain knowing what was lost. He was the future of the guitar and of blues music.
There is a special place in my heart for this man. If I feel like crying I will play SRV. If I feel like dancing I will play SRV. If I feel so incredibly happy I will play SRV. Great music for every feeling in your soul . I miss him so much I ache.
james frady Where? My dad saw him here at the State fair 6 days after his 31st b birthday October 9th of 85. RIP STEVIE I Chat with his childhood friend A guy named rocky athas that grew up in Oak Cliff although I say stevie grew up in Dallas to people cause its a better way to start his story if anybody hasn't heard of him

Stevie's songs aren't 8 minutes because he wants them to be. Stevie's songs are 8 minutes because that's how long his soul has to cry.
And because we need them to be. Lol
30 years that he passed away. We miss you every day Stevie.
Yes we do miss you stevie.
He’s with Jimi Hendrix, Lenny, Otis Rush and many others he loved, all in heaven. Miss SRV here in earth. ❤️❤️
Almost 31 now.
He was the best!
Every single day
How could anyone just sit while this masterpiece is being played? Craziness.
It moves you from the inside . Just paralyzed
As long as I'm alive stevie ray vaughan. Music will be alive.

Played what he felt. Hard for some to believe he was not a show off. He just dug whatever he was playing.. Sorely missed, truly loved.
great compliment
So true, SRV said " You know I can't read sheet music and I try not to look at my hand to see were I am at, I just play from my heart"
He was never a "show-off." He was BADASS. THE BEST!!!!!!
Aside from him playing behind his back? 🙄 JK!
I wish I could like this comment 100 times...so true!
Way back in 83, my boyfriend dragged me to an SRV concert. The boyfriend has long been history. My love for SRV remains.

And like Jimi I think their bluesy voices get lost in the shuffle cuz of their playing, and they are not only my 2 fave players , but also 2 of my fave singers
His voice is just Breathtaking...one of a kind!!!! Sexy blues
Stevie is an inspiration..now get out there and Create !! 🎶
Nobody then are now can touch stevie ray vaughan. Never be be another srv. Once in a lifetime greatness.
Rest in powerful peace 🙏
Stevie Ray Vaughan
3 October 1954 ~
27 August 1990
Jesus christ that solo was amazing. Exact reason why SRV is one of the best
He was the best hands down.
Man wouldn't you have love to have seen Vaughan and Marley on a jam set but maybe their rockin it in heaven.
I agree got to love him
No and I don't think they ever will. Pure greatness in the flesh.
LOL. 🤫 Let’s keep this a secret. I could watch Stevie All Day .. Don’t tell anyone how great he
Was... 👍🏼
Everytime I listen to this I get sad again. Man he was the best.
That is one of my absolute *favorite* SRV songs; heartfelt and intense, a prayer to/invocation of the overwhelming power of love.
Gary Smith Agreed, one of my all time favs.
i almost divorced my baby 2013 but then i sang this song to her here we are 11 years n countin
My lord - I think I just died & melted into the floor, then SRV played one more chord & it resurrected me. So nice we can see this. Thank you,
God why do you have to take the BEST away from us? I would have selfishly loved to watch Stevie age and come into different musical spaces. It would have been amazing I am sure! I am thankful that we got to see the bit of sparkle that we did though. RIP Stevie!
JDEP Jimi wanted someone to jam with
god wanted to hear blues better
Bit of sparkle? SRV was so sparkly, gold lost it's lustre.
He's playing the BIG show now, for God! God's diggin' it too, you have to know that!
Found stevie ray this year im 46 how did i not come across this hero sooner ..he's my guitar hero ..AMAZING
Best/ fastest, note nailer that ever drew a breath of God's air!!!!!!!!
Stevie Ray ya are SO MISSED sometimes I just can't listen because ya left Soooooo DAMN Soon I can't help but to cry but I know your still doing your thing in Heaven Love ya Stevie Ray ✌💙
So True, Miss him so much, Glad I paid my respects and see him and his parents at Laurel Land Memorial Park! RIP SRV
Agree. When i gone in Heaven, first of all i will found Stevie
AMEN!!!
I remember when I found out as a kid listening to his music long after he had passed, that feeling of knowing he was gone I still get it when I listen to him. My parents were devastated when it happened. So much pain knowing what was lost. He was the future of the guitar and of blues music.
The sky is crying...
There is a special place in my heart for this man. If I feel like crying I will play SRV. If I feel like dancing I will play SRV. If I feel so incredibly happy I will play SRV. Great music for every feeling in your soul . I miss him so much I ache.
