Eric Clapton, one of the world’s pre-eminent blues/rock guitarists, once again summoned an all-star team of six-string heroes for his fifth Crossroads Guitar Festival in 2019. Held at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, the two-day concert event raised funds for the Crossroads Centre in Antigua, the chemical dependency treatment and education facility that Clapton founded in 1998.

Lyrics:
The thrill is gone
The thrill is gone away
The thrill is gone, baby
The thrill is gone away
You done me wrong, baby
You'll be sorry someday
The thrill is gone
The thrill is gone away from me
The thrill is gone, baby
The thrill is gone away from me
Although I'll still live on
But so lonely I'll be
I'm free, free now, baby
I'm free from your spell
I'm free, free, free now
I'm free from your spell
And now that it's all over
All I can do is wish you well

By chance I saw BB perform this song in Philadelphia in 1969 with a small gathering of 350 people. Not a soul was unmoved by the beauty of song. How lucky was I?
Wow!!! Very lucky 👍🏽
I think the most impressive thing is that BB was 85 years old. He played Glastonbury at 86.???
But when you know you got Eric Clapton, Robert Cray & Jimmy Vaughn on lead support, you got RESPECT.
Oh yes - all the masters together

The King is gone, the King is gone away from me! RIP BB
BB KING was by far the best "blues man" of all time. He truly was the KING 👑👍🏻
forever i miss you 😢from USA ❤❤❤❤
he was ONE of the best
Took my daughter to her first "real" Concert, a Blue's festival headlining BB King when she was 19. She will now Love the Blues throughout her life. I can't think of a greater gift for a wonderful daughter... She's now 31 with 3 kids and a great husband. My grandkids will be turned on to the Blues so the legacy continues.
Thats a good thing you have done for society.
You gave your daughter the blues man, shit thats not cool.
why only blues ? much more good out there
ViolentFury1 That should go without saying! I enjoy almost all types of music from 40's "Big Band", Country, Southern Rock and of course, Heavy Metal of the 60's, 70's and 80's. Blues is special. It's heart and history hold a special place...
Bb king
bb king one of the best singers of all time
Man, this what playing from your soul sounds like. It’s like the hand of God is holding those guitars.
I saw this live. About half the crowd left, this was after the Clapton solo set, close to midnight. Bill Murray was imploring people to not leave, best is yet to come, but they did. This was beyond incredible. What possessed Robert Randolph to do what he did.................maybe he was supposed to, but the whole thing was surreal. BB King told Clapton, Cray and Vaughn that if he had to sit they had to as well. And then they did what they did. Since so many people had left it was easy to maneuver close to the stage, the look on King's face during the song was amazing, it was like he was young again.
WOW! People are Not that intelligent are they! Blows my mind to hear that. BB is someone I have Always loved and Admired!
😊💜🎼🎸🙏🌈
Wow incredible story!

Incredible!! I am 83 and played bass in a blues club long ago where BB King was the only muso listed on the Wurlitzer, and really known as the king indeed. This such a fine tribute recording of BB King and a group of the finest musos. Thank you for posting this Rhino! Wow, just Wow!

@@JoaoVictor-cd4bd Thanks, glad to hear from you. This recording video is a rare gift for all of us. I played in a black club and was called a grey as the only white and at a Jazz club called Janko's, and at college clubs. I was so proud to be a part of it.

I saw "The King" in 67 at Northern Illinois University. I stood right next to the stage, which was only about 4 ft above the gym floor. He rocked the house. When he was done he held his open palm with his guitar pick to me. I have it.
Those concerts at universities were awesome weren't they? They were right there! Cool!
you're so lucky!
i born in 68😁
I saw him at air port. One of his roadies sat next to me trying to hold my hand when we hit Turbulence. I was all of 19 headed to Germany. That was early 70’s. Had it been king I would have let him. But he was up in first class. I love him even back then.
I protected his bus coming out of Chicago with my large car.
"I said they treat me so well, I feel special" after dull cheer from the crowd.. WHAT A GANGSTA💯💯
When you treat your guitar as a woman you love, this is the sound you get!
Clapton looks like my lunch lady from middle school
I live how BB turns in to a fan after singing. He was such a humble man and dearly missed
B.B.: your body is gone, but your thrill will never be. What a performance!
I am proud that my father let me grow up with this music.
I'm 26 today and have been listening to this music for as long as I can remember. Simply brilliant!
I saw BB & Eric , with my father... I will never forget how we shared that magical time .He passed way too soon out of my life , Dad , I miss you.
I heard about BB King in 2015, when he was on the news as he passed. I’m multiple generations past his time (he was 74 the year I was born). But this song captivated me the first time I heard it and got me into Blues music.
What an amazing musical talent. God bless Mr King and rest in peace

Never give up on music somewhere out there is another great artist love to listen to the oldies but always searching for new music to love
I 100 % agree
while its a great sentiment. I dont like to think in absolutist terms like this. A greater thing could always come. That's the definition of hope and what has kept us as a species alive.
BB King is an undisputed legend in the realms of blues and jazz music ❤️😍❤️❤️
I'm here because I love BB KING... and I smoke a pot. 😂
You know you're a legend when the general public knows the name of your guitar
The King was one of the last living blues legends we had left. Undoubtedly one of the greatest musicians ever.
Yes, i agree with you. I miss BB King so much
Still got Buddy Guy. National treasure. TT2022
BB would love to hear you say that, but I know how he would react. He would be gracious and thank you humbly. He might tell its not true. BB played with all kinds of people who he might say we're better. Playing the blues isn't about better. It's a language you try and speak, if you're doing it right. Haha. TT2022
@@timtooker8332 Buddy is touring Spring 2023. I lived most of my life in Chicago and saw him more than a few times. I was at Crossroads 2007 and 2010 and BB puts on a show. All the other guitar gods there watched him in amazement. Buddy was at those too.
It's 2024 and I'm still listening to this jam every night before I go to bed. There will never be a better jam than this masterpiece 👌 plus that pedal guitar solo at last is 🔥
Lots of love from Ethiopia 💚💛❤️
Hey YOU, incredible person reading this...The truth is you are confident and good enough already with who you are, where you are at and what you have right now to have the success you want in life. Don't let others define what “success” is for you. Get up, learn that skill and go after it! I believe in you so much! Have an awesome day! - Love
EVEN IF YOU DISAGREE WITH ME ABOUT THIS SONG,IT STILL IS ONE OF THE BEST SONGS EVER.
Right on! One of the best blues song ever recorded. To see BB, Eric, Robert and Jimmie play this together live is a treat to the senses!! Robert Randolph at the end is absolutely mind blowing too. It's my birthday today and I can't not stop by and visit this without saying something. If anyone doesn't like this they haven't lived and I feel sad for so many that think today's near garbage for the most part music is close to this honestly. This is real music and artistry!!

What even is there to say? Soothing. Groovy. Melodic. Beautifully composed even on the solos. This is true talent, blues, and the soul of the guitar at its finest. R.I.P BB King

I love Jimmy Vaughan’s playing, he only plays what’s needed, nothing more and nothing less. Never tried to show off. Seems like a solid dude too.

It's interesting in these BB King videos where he's playing with a who's-who of other established players, that he doesn't try to ego-maniacally play the "iconic-legend" card, and be the center of attention. Instead, he is always humble and respectful of their talents, and seems genuinely as happy to be on-stage with them, as they are with him.
