Thank you for your no bake cheesecake recipe. I made this for a family gathering. Everyone raved about the cheesecake. I topped it with a fresh strawberry sauce. Delicious!
In UK fresh cream is classified as - single cream ( poring or used to make sauce, adding to coffee), Double cream (Heavy cream ie used for cheesecake, filling cakes ), whipping cream ( light for decorating, topping on pie prior to serving), extra thick (similar to cream cheese in texture) normally used at holidays and often comes in flavours ( brandy, whiskey, Baileys, ie with Alcohol) a favourite at Christmas with pudding (desert)
I tried this recipe and left the cheesecake in the fridge overnight to set. The next day I served it at a dinner party and it collapsed into a soggy heap. It tasted lovely but I would highly recommend leaving it in the fridge for a couple of days to set.
I MADE IT! It rested for more than 24 hours but it never really set to be a really firm cheesecake. It was too creamy for my taste (I like more of a bite) but the filling itself was really good and the crust was delicious!😋 It is a no-bake cheesecake so that could be why it is not too firm. I would definitely use this crust for other crusted desserts!😊and would consider making the cake itself again! I did get compliments from my family!💗

For a luxury taste add in a large bar of melted white chocolate - helps it set in the summer as well - or when the cheese filling has set make a jelly (jello??) in the flavour of your choice and allow it to cool in the jug/bowl until it is just beginning to set then pour it over the top of the cheesecake and let the jelly set. You can add fruit into the jelly as well - strawberry jelly with strawberries for example - for a truly lovely looking cheesecake if you're having guests if you want to, then put in the fridge to set. However I always use a full tin of condensed milk with the cream cheese (marscapone is the best one to use I've found, ricotta if you prefer a slightly more savoury flavour) and you don't need to add ANY extra sugar either to the base, the cheese mix or the cream, if you do add chocolate you'll find it is incredibly rich and makes a regular size cheesecake stretch a very long way especially if you have guests (or chocoholics in the house as I do). I've been making this recipe since the late 1960s as it was always one that a kid could make without needing help from mum - long before the days of large mixers etc, it was all done with an egg beater - and it doesn't need anything except space in the fridge to keep it cool.

Yes! mmmmm!!! Love cheesecake and this will be delicious!! Adding the pecans to the crust is genius!
It is impossible for me to wait that long for a cheesecake overnight 😩 I’ll stick to baking cheesecakes 😂 But yours looks delicious 😍
You are so adorable. I'm a baker too and I love watching your videos. Simple, fun and pleasant ❤️
Hey, great recipe! I have a question: could you leave out the sour cream because I don't have any available at the moment?
The sour cream helps it thicken up and hold its shape
U can use yogurt instead, works like a charm
Can you use store bought whipping cream?
you keep uploading EXACTLY what I want to eat!!!!
Reading your mind!
