I did add a tablespoon of grated lemon zest, total 1 tablespoon of zest with the vanilla extract. We love the flavour of Lemon & Blueberries together. I also tumbled the blueberries in a tablespoon of Plain flour before adding to the batter so they would not sink to the bottom. ♥️ Thank you so much for this gorgeous recipe! im making this for a decade, couple of notes, use oat cookies in a rush they have sugar so no need to add sugar also add a pinch of salt for taste, i like to add gelatine to thicken the blueberries instead of cornstarch and i also add the zest of the lemon for no waste. i also do not put blueberries in the cheesecake mix

I was today years old when I learned I should be putting cream cheese in the microwave to warm them up. Here I've been putting them out hours before hand to get to room temperature. Baking hack, LOVE it!!!
I made it & it was delicious! The sweetness is perfect. I skipped the blueberries because all I had was frozen & I didn’t want the color to bleed into the cheesecake filling. I also used 1 teaspoon of vanilla paste since that’s what I had. I have to perfect the mixing part though because mine cracked on the sides. But overall, I’d give this recipe a 5 out of 5. I’ll definitely be making it again.
Okay I just made this and this is hands down the BEST cheese cake recipe I have ever tried!! I don't normally like cheese cake but I was making it for other people and the real blueberries adds such a sweet but not too sweet taste it's perfect. I will never try another cheese cake recipe except this!

Thanks for multiple measurements, cups/g, etc. I've made blueberry sauce a few times, but not for a long time. I just wanted to quickly double-check the sugar and lemon content for just 3/4 cup of blueberries for mini cheesecakes with various toppings. I had about 90g of berries, so my guess of 30-40g of sugar and 2-3 tsp of lemon juice was about right. I could have just winged it, but it was nice to be able to verify and not ruin the few berries I had by getting them too sweet.
This looks amazing. Btw I made ur whoopie pies last weekend. They were Amazing!! That cake was fluffy and light. However that swiss buttercream is the bomb. That was my 1st time making meringue based buttercream and it was amazing. Keep up the good work

There’s a heavy, stainless steel “pastry” blender attachment beater, just parallel bars up and down, I used it last time I made cheesecake and it seemed to work well. I like adding different cheeses like mascarpone and ricotta..and toasted pecans is nice in the crust, it adds better texture and flavors.
Adding raspberries too is a nice tart foil for the sometimes “too bland” blueberries, and gives a more striking visual interest. Combining the raspberries into the sauce too, incredible color and flavor.
Yuuum. As always John never disappoints. I’m going to make this for my husband’s birthday in September. It would be better than the usual birthday cake I’m sure.

I put parchment paper on the bottom of the spring form pan, makes it easy to slide the cake unto a serving platter.

There’s a heavy, stainless steel “pastry” blender attachment beater, just parallel bars up and down, I used it last time I made cheesecake and it seemed to work well. I like adding different cheeses like mascarpone and ricotta..and toasted pecans is nice in the crust, it adds better texture and flavors.
Adding raspberries too is a nice tart foil for the sometimes “too bland” blueberries, and gives a more striking visual interest. Combining the raspberries into the sauce too, incredible color and flavor.
Yuuum. As always John never disappoints. I’m going to make this for my husband’s birthday in September. It would be better than the usual birthday cake I’m sure.
Could you make a recipe for a nutcrust? Either walnuts or pecans or a fusion of both? This looks amazing
