Acura RDX Blow Off Valve

- This is a custom BOV/BPV that I made a few days ago for the Acura RDX... this thing is amazing and really brings out the turbocharged aspect of the car... it is based off the Forged Motorsports Splitter hybrid valve designed for the VW/Audi 1.8T but after a bunch of custom machining it seems to be perfectly placed on the RDX

You can hear the factory blow of or bypass pretty clearly with just a intake added.
What intake recommended ?
I love the RDX and this makes it fucking amazing to drive its such a awesome car.
Is it a reliable family car. Looking at buying one. How many miles do you have on yours??

You should put the shrould back onto the intercooler. The duct seals to and helps force the air through it at speed.

Hi @perry Wilson, Nice video, I am curious if you know where is the "Vapor Canister Purge Valve / Solenoid (CP603/36162RWCA01)? I am trying to replace it but was told the unit may be under the air filter box but I am not sure how to remove the air filter box (I know how to open the air filter box but doesn't know how to remove it completely so I can locate the "Vapor Canister Purge Valve". Thank you in advance.
I have this same one, mine does not sound like that D: I put mine in the way it came in the box, can you tell me what to do to make it sound like your.
So you do need a tune after on any engine to exhaust mod?

Look into a Turbosmart BOV. I have a 12 RdX. These are fully adjustable
I am actually a DP for a film company, this was shot on a canon 7D and audio was on a Zoom H4n IDK why it isnt sync'd correctly... something youtube messed up

Hey all. No I never made more or put them for sale. The one on this car was custom milled and turned on a lathe. It started as a bypass for a gti. Nothing else was done to the car. The mpg never went down, the performance didn't go up. It was pure aesthetic and that was fine with me. I sold that car a long time ago. I now have an 18 accord sport. Sometimes I miss that RDX though.

I have a 12 RDX. Turbosmart adjustable BOV is a direct bolt on.

Bought it from a friend had it on his Mazda 3 speed hatchback. Also will fit on Suburu WRX. You can also pick them up from Amazon

Is a blow off valve strictly for sound? Or does it aid performance too?

A tighter spring pressure will be needed when you increase boost. The stock seat pressure is low and can lift manifold pressure on spikes. So it's more stable when set to the correct pressure for the boost levels.
Where is the turbine mounted on these cars? I have an RDX.
on the intake, close to the engine, top front.

Acura tsx doesn't have a turbo
Change your engine to a k23 lol
Why would you want a BOV on a naturally aspirated car, you’d need a forced induction to add one to your TSX, try k swapping your engine, and if you’re satisfied with the amount paid then go get your BOV.

Sid_1026 lmao you don't gain any power with a blow off valve. It simply vents the boost to the atmosphere
you technically lose response as your venting already made pressure when letting off the gas if anything

Dumbest mod ever. You actually slowly killing ur motor by messing with A/f ratio. Since this car has maf sensor. This would be considered as a truely ricer mod. As it is not only useless, but also parasitic to an engine.
I wanted more power so I traded my 07 Rdx for a wk1 Jeep srt8.
Never missed that turbo again
