Acura RDX Blow Off Valve

This is a custom BOV/BPV that I made a few days ago for the Acura RDX... this thing is amazing and really brings out the turbocharged aspect of the car... it is based off the Forged Motorsports Splitter hybrid valve designed for the VW/Audi 1.8T but after a bunch of custom machining it seems to be perfectly placed on the RDX

Hi @perry Wilson, Nice video, I am curious if you know where is the "Vapor Canister Purge Valve / Solenoid (CP603/36162RWCA01)? I am trying to replace it but was told the unit may be under the air filter box but I am not sure how to remove the air filter box (I know how to open the air filter box but doesn't know how to remove it completely so I can locate the "Vapor Canister Purge Valve". Thank you in advance.

I have a 12 RDX. Turbosmart adjustable BOV is a direct bolt on.

Bought it from a friend had it on his Mazda 3 speed hatchback. Also will fit on Suburu WRX. You can also pick them up from Amazon

Dumbest mod ever. You actually slowly killing ur motor by messing with A/f ratio. Since this car has maf sensor. This would be considered as a truely ricer mod. As it is not only useless, but also parasitic to an engine. I wanted more power so I traded my 07 Rdx for a wk1 Jeep srt8. Never missed that turbo again

Hey all. No I never made more or put them for sale. The one on this car was custom milled and turned on a lathe. It started as a bypass for a gti. Nothing else was done to the car. The mpg never went down, the performance didn't go up. It was pure aesthetic and that was fine with me. I sold that car a long time ago. I now have an 18 accord sport. Sometimes I miss that RDX though.

Change your engine to a k23 lol
Why would you want a BOV on a naturally aspirated car, you’d need a forced induction to add one to your TSX, try k swapping your engine, and if you’re satisfied with the amount paid then go get your BOV.

the car is very upset corner entry. If you heal toe it will help that tremendously which will also help you get on the power earlier.

So you do need a tune after on any engine to exhaust mod?
All of you below need to watch BudgetBoosting blow off valve the truth. We explain absolutely that blow off valves are the tuners choice and not a necessity, we have proof of 27 year old turbo on a 1987 buick Grand National that worked perfectly without a blow off valve until we installed a T66 turbo for upgraded performance. Watch this video, it puts the blow off valve controversy to bed.

Is this car still alive? How is it faring with the turbo setup? What kind of times have you pulled at Sebring with it?
Some E46's had the M52TU engine. Which is basically an M54 except for a few differences that I cannot remember. Google it. Either way its irrelevant to this video. I hope they get the tune fixed

Might want to fix your fuel supply / tune because this motor won't last the way it's running right now. Can hear detonation and missfiring throughout the video.

its come from the factory w/ a k23 turbo charge engine, 6 speed automatique, awd shawd. not that bad. good torque but slow.

Sid_1026 lmao you don't gain any power with a blow off valve. It simply vents the boost to the atmosphere
you technically lose response as your venting already made pressure when letting off the gas if anything
