I'll feel your pain! I have a 2015 Buick Enclave AWD. 120K miles - replaced the transmission about 20K miles ago. My mechanic absolutely hates these vehicles. The Enclave is back in the shop as I write this trying to diagnose a vibration I'm getting at around 60MPH. The steering rack also needs replaced along with the pump. They had a TSB on this problem. It may still be covered by warrenty if this car has the TSB.
Transmissions wear out over time. They need to be serviced or rebuilt. Depends on how many miles you are getting out of your transmissions. Less than 100k miles something is probably wrong. I've owned GM vehicles for the last 15 years. Never once had a single transmission issue. I ran a 1998 Silverado 1500 up to 250k miles with original transmission. The truck only needed replaced after an accident. I am currently on a 2006 Silverado 1500 with 160k miles and no transmissions issues yet. I always change my transmission fluid every 30k miles. That's every 6 oil changes I do the transmission along with it. Driving style, towing, road conditions, traffic, all play a role I understand that. Typically FWD designed transmissions aren't as good. I have a 2000 GTP that I have dyno'd at 350 whp and I have added after market performance parts to the transmission to increase durability and reliability. If you want a transmission to last, change the fluid often. Especially if you tow, or use it as a race car.

I own a 2016 traverse AWD. At one point a fuse blew that led to brake lights not working, and some other weird random electrical problems with the head unit occur every now and then. Well well I have resolved my issues. I replaced a relay and the cooling temperature sensor and I have been doing great but I will still keep my fingers and toes crossed.
@@bthynameI think we need a relay too. The crank. Omg it’s so horrible.
@@My_secret_is_i_pray I have not had any problems since I replaced that part. It's been going strong for 6 months. Fingers crossed that it stays that way.
Reverse and low are fully mechanical it's a low pressure issue
I don’t think I would ever open my transmission like that.
It’s not too bad, but it was kind of a pain that this didn’t resolve the issues.
IMHO The infamous Chevy "check engine light" / "reduced engine power light" is a trap, incorporated within GM manufacturing production model.
That 3.6 Engine is one of the worst in the car business.. Constant issues electronically and the with Stabiltrak etc.. Get a Highlander..
I do have a Chevy Traverse 2018, and it is in the shop now for a transmission replacement. I will NEVER buy another chevrolet product, not should anybody else. Why sell crap? GO with FOrd, i have never had issues with ford trucks. we ended up buying a MItsubishi Outlander.
Mitsubishi? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I wouldn't be braggin bout that.
Dude it’s an ECM problem, all the idiot lights are going off. Replace your battery first, low voltage will make car do crazy things.
The replacement TCM eliminated all of the lights, but not the mechanical issue.
Nice video, we will contact you sir.Have a good day!
Anyone care to guess why I haven't owned a GM vehicle in 25 years?
They were good back then. Sure wish I'd kept my 1996 Suburban.
Those are garbage, had 2013 traverse. Numerous speed sensor problems, torque converter replaced, found oil in the intake,
Bought my 2011 traverse a year later engine took a crap, wareanty only covered fm price of vehicle which was 4k, i had to come out of pocket the additional 5k to replace the engine, a week later engine light came back on again and told me to go to a gm dealer to fix it SMH. Now a year later transmission is out, spent 2500 on new suspension and got all brakes done. At this point im gonna take it straigjt to the bank and they can repo it not dumping anymore money jnto this POS.
do a sawp with a 1mz 3.0 toyota
Dude take your shades off 😉
Çan't stop fixing my 13 traverse. Poop
This is why I'd never buy a Chevy again even though I took care of my mine like a top since I used to work a dealership myself
Maybe the company accidentally sent you your original teccum
Can if there's anybody in North Hollywood that knows about a Chevy Traverse they might be willing to come and to my Aid or refer me to a repair shop where I can take it I mean I think it's just a simple thing maybe with fuse or something I don't know anyways I'll look for your comments
I can make a simple fix as well do not buy any GM vehicles
Put on car lift alots better on your back almost be out weather
i am master mechanic 37 years , and i see this all the time, people trying to fix sht themself befor taking to actual mechanic, way to make a repair more expensive, ha ha always when the try to fix it themself first , then we have to fix the original problem , plus whatever sht they broke ahile trying to fix it themself ! you know what they say, never gamble with more cash than you are willing to throw away ! so what did we learn ? ha ha 🤣🤣
Yeah so you can charge over 2,000 that ppl don't have
The Traverse is a total POS. I owned one and the transmission went out at 80k, and the engine was gone at under 100k.
If your so fed up Trade me for my 96 truck
The engines in these are trash too!
All GM SUVs are garbage. Do your homework before buying a vehicle!!
Do not buy one.
It's the driver not the Chevy
Sell it for a Dodge Grand Caravan. Your welcome. You can send me a cheque in the mail. All the best and continue to follow your nose!🍁🦫
The DGC is a great minivan. This one isn’t mine, I was just helping a friend with theirs.
I might consider a dgc .... Tell me more......
@@christianquinones8081 I hope you follow your nose in the right direction.🍁🦫
Those have transmission problems as well.
May or may not be the most reliable, but the Chrysler minivans (especially third and fourth generations) are the most practical and versatile in existence, to my knowledge (the removable seating may require more work, but is still much more versatile than stowable seating, and allows you to carry more weight when not installed, due to them not being in the vehicle), and is far more reliable than this hunk of junk. I miss our Town & Country.
