Do we have to program the key fob to get this feature? I just tried it on my 2023 traverse and it didn’t work. Thanks for this video. Had no idea there was a key on the fob!!
I just bought my first 2020 chevrolet Traverse LT Cloth. I'm assuming it has all these hidden features. I actually haven't gone through them yet but man, im so happy I came across your video. I'm loving the secret compartment in the front, is there any other else where in the vehicle? Thank u
Any idea if there's a setting for the Traverse to let you know when you're driving away from the transponder? My 2019 let me drive 2 hours away from home. I left it on when I went into a Buc-ees, but it cut off after 15 min. It wouldn't restart without the key fob!
Thanks for the info . Smooth move with the camera stick there at the end to get a nice view of the interior with a pullback and see the hatch close.👍 Perfect way to end the video.
If that happens I would suggest a drain an fill! DO NOT DO A FLUSH! DO a drain an fill! Honestly you should drain an drop the transmission pan clean the pan an install an add new fluid! I will be doing this to my wifes traverse! I had to do my 2020 silverado because it had a Shudder an it fixed the problem
I am not certain about all 2018 to 2022 models but in my 2023 LT cloth all-wheel drive, beside the parking brake button there is another button with the letter A and a circle around it. I used to think this was for Avengers mode since it is the same symbol that they use in the movie. But unfortunately there is no Avengers mode. It is just an auto stop override button. Apparently it activates every time you turn on the ignition and you have to manually shut it off. In my 2018 Ford Escape I pulled the button out of the dash and cut a thin piece of metal with tin snips, I inserted it into the internals of the button. It fooled the system into thinking I was pressing the button as soon as the vehicle was started. So it was essentially permanently disabled just the way I wanted it. I also tried a piece of cardboard but it did not seem to work, it had to be metallic. Since this is only my second day with the Traverse I have not tried it on this vehicle. Since the Auto Stop start seems to be much less aggressive on the new Traverse than it was on the 2018 escape and the 2019 Chevy Cavalier that I rented I am going to try to live with it for a while and single-handedly save the entire planet. But if it begins to aggravate me I will definitely be working on a permanent override. My major gripe about Auto Stop start is twofold. First off it delays your vehicle motivation from a stop which for instance in New York City rush hour traffic will allow two or three cars to cut you off every time Auto Stop engages. My second complaint is usually that I do not like warm air blowing on me in the summer just because I'm sitting at a stoplight. The Traverse still has problem number one. However it does seem that they have installed and override in situations where the air conditioner is running, so the engine continues to run if the AC is on. At least that's my experience so far. As I said, if it becomes a nuisance it will be permanently disabled.
Yes, come to a complete stop, switch to L. Push the plus on the shifter, until you see a 9 on your dash board. This shuts off that auto start option. You have to do this every time you leave for a drive. Hope this helps.
My buttons to control heat/AC and the dials to set temperature isn’t working. Is it possible that it’s too cold? This has never happened before until today. Last night it was almost 5 degrees
In a keyed ignition vehicle you typically have two daytones for accessory mode. One where it only Powers the radio only and another accessory mode where you can turn on the fan and light the instrument panel. I cannot find access remote too on the 2023 Traverse LT. It seems either radio mode or engine on mode only. Would a GM have been stupid enough to remove the second accessory mode?
I definitely miss the beeping on the 2023 Traverse. There is a addendum on the vehicle which states that the beeping sound is not available while backing up. The salesman that I spoke to said that there is still a chip shortage due to covid and therefore that feature is not available in the chip they are currently using. I did some further research and it does appear that it can be installed at a later date by the dealer, win an up grade kit becomes available. I'm sure it will not be free. I was also hoping there was a way to turn an audible alarm on for lane change notification as well but apparently this vehicle only beeps when your seat belt is not engaged or when the power liftgate is in operation. Bummer. The Camry and Mazda both have the audible feature for lane change and backing up, I'm not sure why GM couldn't get the chip
My screen is working but the volume in the car is not working so I do not have access to my radio my phone navigation I don’t know what that could be? Would you happen to know how to help me get that fixed?
There is a tsb for this issue, apparently moisture gets into a sensor that’s in the back and it disables the audio from working. Check that, I had to replace it twice
My second day with the 2023 Traverse and I was kind of shocked to find that the fuse panel is behind the rear wheel on the driver side. The way I accidentally discovered this was because the cover was halfway dislodged. When the cars arrive at the dealership certain fuses are removed so the technician that preps the car for sale has to install the missing fuses. Apparently the lazy mechanic pulled a couple of wires out or possibly had to terminate them as part of the preparation and left a couple of cables hanging out into the cargo area. But no worries, he just slammed the cover back into place and bent the heck out of it.
I have a 2018 traverse. I got my brakes done yesterday and now my truck won’t go in reverse. Also the “r” on the dashboard is blinking. Not to mention when I’m driving forward it slams on brake on its own. What could’ve happened???
@@ItsJustDayana took my truck to Chevy dealer, just got it past last Saturday after they had it for a month. They didn’t know what was wrong with it. So they just put in a used transmission
How do you know if your truck is running in 4 cylinders or 6 cylinders for the cylinder deactivation it is supposed to have in the Chevy traverse with the V6
In all of the information I have searched I cannot find any reference to cylinder deactivation on the Traverse v6. I would think if it was there I would be able to search the internet for information about it. There are some generic articles about General Motors version of cylinder deactivation mode but I can't find any reference to the Traverse
Sounds like it's a lose ground or grounding out somewhere! Check for lose grounds! Basically wires that looks bolted to the block somewhere see if they are lose
I have not investigated this yet in the Traverse. The fake seat belt clips are available on Amazon for about $8 a pair and I carry one in my luggage always, in case I happen to rent a car with a chime that refuses to ever stop.😂😂 At least in the Traverse it stops chiming after a couple of minutes, but of course it's still no fun. What I can tell you is that in my Chrysler 200 I had the same irritation. I was looking for a way to override it. I made the mistake of assuming the seat belt was completing a circuit and somehow switching off the chime. To my surprise it was actually designed as a closed circuit. So when you insert the seat belt it opens the circuit so no power flows through it. The bottom line is that basically unplugging the yellow wire in the wiring harness under the seat, I never heard the seatbelt chime again. 😁 So I would assume that it can indeed be done on your vehicle as well. I would suggest to start by trying to trace any wires coming from the seat belt clip and to play around with connecting and disconnecting those . If you cannot see to Trace them you might have to remove the seat.
I think it depends on what trim level you get. It's definitely not available in the LS and might possibly be available in the LT with a specific upgrade package. But the 2023 premium that I test row did have it. I just did not need it so I got the LT cloth with heated seats which has a lot of nice features
I am having problem. Every time I use my car, I have to repairing!!! Every time I turn off the car, when I restart I have to forget the chevy and my Iphone, and do the same steps over and over. Do you have the same problem?🧐
hey you missed a hidden feature. hold the unlock button on the key pad and that roll down all windows
I did miss it on this video! But I do have that feature/setting on my Silverado video check it out!! ua-cam.com/video/uykLsFXG0C8/v-deo.html

It’s in settings within the radio.
Does any of this work for the 2018 Chevy traverse LS?
@sharkcity6607 some yes, the quickest way to find out is to try and access vehicle settings through the radio.
I was looking for tripmeter the other day and thought it was strange that my traverse didn’t have it. Then watch your video and BAM there it was!!!

Find the radio fuse, pull it out and put it back. This will reset the radio manually and it should fix it.
