    I got a cquartz fabric (1), I applied with a sponge but used a lot of material. I didn`t know it could leave a sticky residue. Fortunatelly it didn`t.
    This fine mist of a couple of sprays is enough?

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  5 місяців тому +1

      Excellent, sounds like you applied it sparingly enough so it could fully cure! Yes, a thin layer is enough.

    This stuff has pretty abysmal reviews online, is there something I'm missing? User error? Bad batch? Fake? Wanna see before I spend the money. Want to waterproof a work jacket and since theres so much abrasion and wear, no coatings seem to do well or last. Not to mention poured water will bead up easily with most(due to water's high cohesion) but small droplets soak in quickly.

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  10 місяців тому +1

      It depends on the review. If it is very recent - past 4 months of this year of 2023 then that was a bad batch (which we recalled) and refunded anyone that had a bad bottle. As I mentioned in some of the other comments below you will see how you can verify that you do not purchase a bottle from the bad batch if there are any still out there. If it is a review outside of that bad batch then I am not sure what you are referring to unless it is an old version saying it was difficult to use which the first versions were because they were SO strong and you couldn't remove the product if you applied it wrong. I guess I could keep listing all the possiblities but would be easier if you told me the context or specific comments of the review and I could answer better :). Have a great day!

      @@smnkm4ehfer Thanks! Current status of product on the market is either it is from BEFORE the recall and it is fine (have had customers buying it online and telling us they are still finding bottles out there that are from before the recall issue or there could possibly be a few bottles out there that did not heed our recall. It is easy to check though... just hold up to light and make sure its not full of residue sunk to the bottom. Our own stock is currently 100% empty because we had only the defective batch so we pulled all our own stock off the shelves (sitting in my office trying to find an appropriate disposal facility). CARPRO has sent us samples of the corrected formula which they plan to start shipping again in a few weeks. So you'll notice we have out of stock on all sizes on our website. If you buy it from elsewhere then just be sure to check the bottom for white powder built up and check the smell. chemical smell is ok and will dissipate but if it smells stinky in a non chemical way then that is not normal. Our own inventory will not show any stock again until we receive the new formula in a couple weeks.

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  Рік тому +2

      If applied evenly and none leaks out of the trigger and drips on it and thicker drops then, no it will not damage suede in any way. However it is a very durable product therefore if you have any hesitation with using it on synthetic suede then go on our site and type "microsuede" in our search bar and you will see options specifically designed only for suede.

    Hi, will this stain white fabric? I want to use this on a fully white fabric jacket and want to ensure it wont stain. Thank you.

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  8 місяців тому +1

      I am always hesitant to tell someone anything with 100% certainty. What I can say is that it will not stain MOST white materials. There is always the possibility it could react with some sort of synthetic blend or with something else that has been used on that fabric for the same purpose. Personally, if it is expensive then I would be very careful to do a test spot on an inconspicuous area and check it after a few moths before trusting it will not react on whatever specific material that jacket is made of. As I am sure you know, white can't help but show EVERYTHING so if there is any sort of uneven application, that may show up as well.

    Used CarPro Fabric 2.0 on my red fabric convertible top. The handle seems to have leaked/dripped onto the top while spraying, and, despite wiping the dripped spots with a sponge while wiping the more evenly sprayed areas, when it dried it left white residue in the shape of the drops, which does not seem to be coming up with overspraying and wiping with the sponge. Any ideas on how to remove these white spotty areas?

    • @jaxphotobuff9252
      @jaxphotobuff9252 Рік тому +1

      For those interested, I was able to remove most of the white residue by wetting the affected areas with water before the Fabric 2.0 fully cured (within an hour or so of original application), spraying with interior cleaner (P&S Xpress Interior Cleaner) and gently massaging it into the fabric with a leather cleaning brush until it foamed (making several passes at at time and then wiping up with a damp microfiber). I had to repeat this multiple times, but it seems to have removed the obvious white spots.

      Hi Jax, sorry for the slow reply! Back to work today and just saw it. GREAT news to hear you solved it and definitely critical to get it off while still fresh! My advice would have been, - Try using some CQ fabric to remove the spot by rubbing it back off with the fabric to "wake it". If that didnt work then an APC which sounds like the interior cleaner you use worked like that. Just glad it is solved! Thanks for sharing your fix too.

      Final update. I'm happy to report that additional (2-3) applications of an APC, worked in with a leather cleaning brush and rinsed, eventually eliminated the white ceramic residue/discoloration. Really appreciate the advice! The problem was originally caused by my own application errors, so I will be working on my application technique and re-applying soon!

    Before I watch this video I wanted to stop and make a quick comment. About a month ago I purchased a heater jacket from Mac Tools and wanted to protect it and make it bit more wet weather friendly so I applied Feynlab Textile hoping it would preform as advertised. 48 hours after application I did a water test, water was immediately absorbed. Did a second application with the same result, 5 applications later the jacket still absorbed the water. I ordered Carpro Fabric 2.0 20 minutes ago to try it on my jacket, hopefully Carpro will live up to the hype, but honestly not holding my breath as to date not 1 since Fabric coating has worked as advertised😢

PLEASE check the product before using it! Make sure there is not powder settled at the bottom that won't mix and that it doesn't smell nasty. (those are the signs of the defective batch). I am ASSUMING you are in the USA. If you are in a different country then maybe fine. If you are in USA then check this... We have new GOOD batch of product coming but it won't be here for a bit. We did notify all USA resellers about this but if your buying on Amazon or somewhere other than Sky's the Limit just check that.

If it does then return to Amazon for a refund and keep an eye out on our website, mailer, or social media as we will announce as soon as its back in stock. Have you used gtechic I1 Smart Fabric AB V3? As this sounds very similar to Carpro in the fact it doesn't clog the fibres together and causes a rough feel. It coats each fibre keeping them individually protected.
    Here in the UK it's alot cheaper then Carpro 2.0 from the only dealer that sells it (Slims, you have to phone them) so I'm swayed towards Gtechiq for this type of product.
    I cannot recommend colourlock as the ceo of the company is an arrogant A hole. I've had a run in with him over his product damaging my plastic panel and he denied it could happen (Photos prove otherwise). So don't bother with colourlock. It's wrecked my panel and cost £800 for a new one as the car is a one off homologation special. I will always think about that situation every time I look at fabric protectants.
    Let me know your thoughts on Gtechiq fabric V3 vs Carpro fabric 2.0 I imagine they are very similar 🤘

      @@SkyCarCare I believe they released it a Sema this year too, bit not sure. Fabric 2.0 500ml is I think £40 from slims detailing and 500ml of I1 Smart Fabric AB is £26.99 so it would be good to compare and contrast as there's around £12 different in price which is substantial. Please Carpro reduce your price here to be more competitive 🙏

      Hi Richard, I have gathered new information on this... It appears there are some defective bottles in the market and could be that we sold you one. If the white is widespread then please send us a picture by email. I have just learned about this issue a few minutes ago. Please check the bottom of the bottle by holding it up to the light and see if it has residue sitting in the bottom that does not mix when shaken. If so, then this is defective. CARPRO says that APC will remove it from the seat. Let us know if you need us to send you some APC or if you have some. Clean it ASAP with APC and it should come off. I looked up your orders and you purchased a bottle from us in July and another in September. Can you let us know which bottle is defective and if you can hold the other bottle up and verify it is not defective. Then please provide pictures of the dates on the bottom of each bottle so we can piece together the scope of the issue.
