    My garaged dry weather only car had CQuartz UK on it for 3 years and lookee magnificent the whole time. I never once felt like it needed a re-do.
    Not sure what it would be like sat in the sun all day (doesn’t matter that it's cloudy here in the uk, if it's not dark out, its getting hit by the sun!)
    It's a lovely product and goes on so easy. People are scared to apply ceramic but its the ground work that's hard.

      @@SkyCarCare question about my coating. I have light water spots on my Adams Graphene coating. Can I use spotless 2.0 on each panel and then rinse and use carpro relod to top the coating again? Worried about using spotless on such a large area. A sprinkler went off next to my Audi and covered it in fine water spots

      @@BaxterretxaB Hey Baxter, James here. So for that, it may be more beneficial to actually use CARPRO Descale. As that product will be able to assist in removing water spots over a large area since It's a dedicated soap. However if you already have spotless. That product is best used in tandem with a towel. So if you are going to use CARPRO spotless we would recommended using it with a soft MF towel instead of rinsing.

Then I have some stain on my paint and didn't want to come out with just quick detailer. I used Essence plus with hand applicator and couple of passes. It's cane out great. Product is amazing. Fantastic video. It really gives a great introduction to the Carpro line! I'm going to be purchasing some products in the near future. One question though: can you use these products on top of paint touch up areas? How long do I have to wait to use some of these products??

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  11 місяців тому

      Thanks James! Almost all of these products have zero issue on touch up paint. But because touch up paints differ, we cannot guarantee every result on every aftermarket finish (in this case touch-up paint). For example, I would use TarX with extreme caution on touch up areas especially if it is fresher. The sealants and coatings on the other hand will not cause any damage once it is cured but always test in inconspicuous area first.

      We are so sorry we missed your comment! So, for both of your vehicles, CARPRO Reset will be the most important item. That is your car wash. Washing them regularly with Reset, a Microfiber Madness Delimitt www.carpro-us.com/wash/wash-mitts/microfiber-madness-delimitt/, and a CARPRO DHydrate towel or Microfiber Madness Chipmunk www.carpro-us.com/microfiber-towels/microfiber-madness-chipmunk-25-x-17/ and you are in good shape. Beyond that, occasional use of IronX for decontamination is a good idea. If you want a booster to top up the protection on them then use the Dr. Beasleys Matte Bead Hero you will find here www.carpro-us.com/protection/dr-beasleys-matte-bead-hero-12-oz/ and for a booster on the Model Y use this www.carpro-us.com/quick-detail/carpro-elixir-quick-detailer-500ml-17oz/
      Beyond that, reach out to us at service@carpro-us.com if you have questions about brushes, interior, etc etc.

    Awesome video! Which costing would you recommend for matte carbon fiber? Dlux/Gliss?

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  Рік тому +1

      Thanks Andrew! IF I was to recommend one I would go with CQUARTZ UK base coat and SiC top coat, however I personally do not advise to use a ceramic coating on a matte finish or any finish that you are not able to polish.
      The reasoning is two fold:
      1.- Applying a product that you can’t remove without polishing TO a surface that you can NOT polish is not logical to me. The liability involved in such a thing just doesn’t make sense to me.
      2.- You can not polish the surface to prep it in the first place so a proper bond isn’t guaranteed.
      Having said all that, we do have installers that coat matte often and they can make an argument for it.

    Hello, nice video...great insight....one question, after a cquartz uk 3.0 with Gliss top coat, what should I use to maintain and topup the coating, Reload or Hydro2?
    Also is it ok to use the Graphene Flex wax from Turtlewax on top of the coating?
    Thanks.

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  Рік тому

      Thanks for the comments! Your best options for future toppers would be Reload or Hydro2Foam. Hydro2 spray will not work as well on a hydrophobic car since it needs a wet surface and you can't keep the surface wet but Hydrofoam will work. You can use the Turtlewax product but they are a bit behind the curve in nanotech car care and you will probably be happier with the Reload or Hydrofoam.

    Awesome video as usual!
    Here is a list of questions from a guy that likes to take care of his car and i'm not a professional detailer.
    1. Can Reload be applied over UK 3.0 coat after 1-2 weeks? (will properties of UK 3.0 be replaced/covered with properties of Reload?)
    2. After UK 3.0 coat has been applied, how much should you wait until you apply Reload?
    3. Between HydrO2, Elixir and Reload which one should be paired with UK 3.0 coating?
    4. Can you provide a weekly maintenance example for UK 3.0 coating?
    5. What about a periodically maintenance example for UK 3.0 coating? (I've seen people telling to use Iron X every 2-3 months).
    6. On CarPro website they say to use Lift every 3 months in summer (So is safe to use Lift every wash of a coated car with UK 3.0 or not? Will the coating be stripped? So that is a recommendation of CarPro based on the note that during summer cars tend to get less dirty however it depends on your region?).

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  Рік тому +2

      1. - Yes / No
      2. - 45 minutes
      3. - Depends. Reload is the only one that should be used during installation. Then, in the future you can use either of the 3... whichever you prefer BUT if you like Hydro2 as your preference then we would recommend Hydrofoam instead if the car is coated. See our Hydrofoam video for why.
      4. - Wash with Reset
      5. - Wash with Reset biweekly - Use IronX ever 2 ~ 12 months depending on the mileage. Garaged and weekend driver Vs. daily long trips and lots brake dust miles.
      6. - I do not find there to be a reason to use Lift every 3 months. Just use Reset regularly. Yes it is safe but why use something that is not needed? Well... If you leave it on long enough and a strong enough dilution and do it over and over and over again then eventually it would affect hydrophobics of coating.

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  Місяць тому +1

      It all depends on the type of contaminants. Here is a quick guide... From least aggressive on the coating to most agressive.
      Reset -
      IronX - That removes brake dust and ferrous contaminants.
      Descale - Removes minerals that have bonded to surface
      Bug-out - in concert with a bug sponge will remove baked on bugs that were not removed in a timely maner
      TarX - removes tar and adhesives

      You can If you have leftover product. However, if you are looking top do the glass in the best way possible, it's recommended to use FlyByForte as that coating is designed for glass. It will be better suited for that surface.

    I've used carpro cquartz UK 3.0 on the painted areas of the car and SIC on the ppf and the entire car inc plastics. I've not put it on the glass as I've got forte for this. I've not used reload as I've heard (and confirmed here) that it reacts with SIC when used in conjunction with 3.0.
    I have used 3.0 and SIC on the wheels and it looks amazing, SIC has a higher temperature capacity, my question is how long will these coatings perform on the wheels. I know the longevity depends on an array of conditions but I want to know how it'll perform with general use? I've heard that 3.0 and SIC make an extremely stable and durable layer when applied in layers

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  Рік тому

      Great points and questions @79blustone , It will last just as long on most clear coated wheels as it will on the rest of the car assuming the wheels are cared for well and washed as often as the rest of the car. Every two weeks with Reset and as necessary with Iron X. Also you are correct that Reload does not play well with SiC when it is freshly applied. Reload is great with UK, Dlux, or Lite as an immediate topper but on SiC Reload should NOT be used at least until it is fully cured. Sic is a GREAT topper and combo with UK like you said!

    • @79blustone
      @79blustone Рік тому

      @@SkyCarCare Iron X is a great product but it can effect the longevity of a coating. My plan is to use the good, better and best method or approach to coating maintenance and physically check to see if a stronger chemical is actually required. So, I'll use body shampoo on the wheels very regularly (at least once a week) and use Gyeon wet coat or Carpro equivalent afterwards. If things start to build up (which I'm planning on being proactive about) then jump onto stronger chemicals like Bilt Hamber Touchless snow foam (which is a top brand here in the UK) and possibly P&S wheel and tyre (tire) cleaner. If things get really out of shape then bring in the big guns like Adam's wheel and tyre cleaner 💪 but this will have an effect on the performance of all the hard work I've done....so maybe not. SIC is a great topper- its turbo charged UK 3.0 and given it deeper gloss and feels unbelievably slick- the whole car is dripping including the wheels, I don't want to drive it now and just stare at it in awe. I love the channel and you guys cover so much and have given me perspective on product application and techniques, so I will applaud the team at Sky's the limit 👏

    I see a lot of people recommending a combination of 2 layers of Cquartz3.0 and then a single layer of Cquartz SiC. What's your take on this? Is the combination a waste of ressources?

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  Рік тому

      This is a great recommendation actually :). However most people do not want to spend the time it takes for 3 coats and that can be excessive in some cases. On soft paint I would totally do it... On other paints it just depends on the person... 1 coat of each will work very well! The 3rd coat will increase the strength of the coating further but whether it is beneficial enough to account for the extra work is up to each person. Finally, we have to remember that if something happens like really nasty water spots that are left on too long then you may have to polish to remove them no matter how many coatings you have. SO the moral is that a few really toxic environments it might not be worth 3 coats if you find you have to polish the car every year anyway to keep it to your liking. But you can also make an argument that in those very areas 3 coats is needed more than anywhere else... just depends on the time you have available an your preferences on how you like your car to look and how much time you like to spend maintaining vs coating or both.

      Hey again.
      By the way. What would you recommend as a maintenance topper or extra sacrificial layer on the Sic? As I understand it, reload is not suited. This is where I get lost in the product line.
      Echo, elixir, hydro2, release or...?

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  Рік тому

      @@waveshapes251 Sure! good question. Immediately after applying SIC you do not want to use Reload. However after it is cured you are welcome to use Reload if you want to. Personally I see no need to use it for at least 1 ~ 3 months. If the coated vehicle is going to be pulled outside or have a lot of humidity or moisture presented to it before the SiC is cured then that is what Release is made for. Otherwise there is no need to top it with anything initially... down the line I would top it with Reload or Hydrofoam - or if you love Elixir then that is also a great option. Hydro(foam) / Reload / Elixir all serve the same purpose when it comes to down the line maintenance... just a mater of preference.

    I don`t know why everyone else presents reset as a strip shampoo..

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  10 місяців тому +1

      🤷‍♂ I don't know either! I mean technically... any soap is removing some protection from a wax or polymer, just the nature of the beast if you want to remove dirt. But to me, if it takes 10+ washes to strip the wax off then that is NOT a stripping shampoo.

      Hi Alexander, what is your definition of a "full maintenance wash"? If we are talking about the wash alone then you simply need CARPRO Reset. As far as wash mitts and towels we can advise if you need. With regards to other cleaners or dressing we just need to know what your looking for. If you watch the video above it will give you a brief synopsis of each product. Lmk if we may assist further.

      @@customerservice9897 Thanks for the reply, and as what i was talking about a full maintenance. Currently i use Griots products. Wash my truck with ceramic infused soaps, always put on a ceramic spray after, tire shine etc. And my question was, other than the Reset soap, what would be equivalent to a ceramic spray to pit on after, or a ceramic (Si02) soap thats good for just a regular wash

      @@alexandercordova730 Ok, thanks for the info! Hydro2 Foam is our Sio2 infused soap and it is phenomenal. You will no longer need to use a ceramic spray after using our Hydro2 Foam because it leaves a strong layer of Sio2 behind but if you wish the Elixir is the Sio2 infused spray. For tire shine you want CARPRO Darkside which is also a phenomenal product. Please go to CARPRO-US.com and search any of these products I mentioned to find the best and most up to date info as well as order it direct from us. Nobody gets 3-6 months out of Reload

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  Рік тому

      Thanks for your comment but some do. Unfortunately, Reload is very temperamental about the prep. Like a ceramic coating, it requires a full decontamination, a polish, and a panel wipe in order to bond and give you that kind of durability. We agree that in the way most people are going to apply such a product it is more like 1 month with the current version.
