I plan on using this, the description says to use Reload after applicarion. I park outdoors, what about using Release instead of Reload to protect during curing? Thanks!
Hi! I have a problem with Carpro Lite in the new version (with the gold label), I have been applying Carpro Lite coating for 4 years. The previous coating (with the gray-orange label) when dried on the applicator created a durable layer like "plastic" that couldn't be scratched off. The new version, the one you show in the video, does not harden at all after leaving the applicator after applying the coating. Could you do such a test and write under my comment how the coating you have hardens after drying on the applicator. I apply it very often to customers' cars and I would like to know if I have a bad batch or if they have changed the composition of the coating, the previous one was really great. I would be very grateful if you could check this for me. Greetings from Poland!
Greetings! Thank you for the comments below. CARPRO did not change the formula at all. Only the box, bottles, colors. The product inside has stayed the same. So, it should still feel hard after the applicator hardens. For example: Pour some on an applicator then fold the applicator suede in half and let it cure with it held folded in half. Then after a couple days try to bend it back to flat and it should be rigid and not able to bend so easily. You can force it flat easily but it will bounce back to folded shape.
2 coats of CQuartz lite + 1 coat of gliss v2 = 👍👍👍👍👍👍😍😍 😍 And maintained from time to time after washing with Meguiar's M799 pro hybrid ceramic bead booster which is an excellent "ceramic boost" top coat, a Meguiar's hybrid ceramic detailer but more concentrated, which gives superb softness, shine and water-repellent effect. In any case it never reduces the behavior of a ceramic coating!
Excellent video!!! 1)can you use CQ Lite on top of PPF? Reason I ask is because if is "hardens" it might interfere with the PPF ability to self heals. 2)did they change something in the formula? They went from 150ml bottle to a 100ml bottle, is that because the formula is improved or just because? I know Gyeon just improved Cancoat and this is a direct competitor so interesting why the 50ml reduction but the price stay the same. 3)can this be used on side or rear glass and wheels?
Thank you!! 1 - Yes you can but I would go with CQUARTZ Skin for exactly the reason you state. Better safe than sorry. I get conflicting info from all our pros out there with regards to if it affects the self healing or not so I would stick with SKIN. 2 - Nothing changed at all in the actual formula however the 150ml bottle was plastic and they changed it to glass because it wont contaminate the CQUARTZ Lite like plastic can do over time. So now it has a better shelf life. The costs stayed about the same since it is glass and still has to be poured (labor) and still has to be shipped from South Korea to here and taxes all still there. We were already selling it at a lower margin as well so couldn't afford to lower the price since our costs all stated the same.
It can, but you would be much better off with Sic as a top coat or no top coat or Reload. Reason being that Lite is not going to provide any properties that UK does not already provide so better off just putting Reload on top of UK or doing a layer of UK and a layer of Sic. -Corey
How long do I need to wait until I can top it with Reload? After 2 hours? I know my clients like to immediately feel their coating after they pickup their vehicle so I want to make sure they get that satisfaction of physically touching it still. Thanks Cory!
45 minutes minimum until Reload. So if you start coating at the front right fender and go clockwise then I would say an hour after you STARTED you could be back starting the Reload in the same place and going again clockwise. My pleasure and thank you for watching and the question!
Durable yes but this dated coating is Grabby as hell plus it doesnt leave a slick finish at all . awful user experience tbf . So many better coatings out there now for overall user experience !
The most important thing to note is that how a coating feels to the touch of your fingers has nothing to do with its performance against the environment. BUT for those that like to rub their hands on their paint its really simple... CARPRO makes CQUARTZ Sic which is INSANELY slick. Or you can top this with Reload. Good thing they provide us the options needed to please anyone! Thanks for watching.
@@SkyCarCare I have carpro sic & I wouldn’t call it insanely slick . Gtechniq csl , mohs evo & ewocar hydro 36 are all slicker than it . If you want a light 1 year coating that is much nicer to use , slicker use feynlab ceramic original . That coating is a joy to use unlike grabby carpro lite .
Well, almost all the gloss is going to be provided by how you polish the car BEFORE you put the coating on. I would put it this way. If I polished a car to perfection and put all 3 coatings on it side by side and then brought you into the shop to tell me what coating I used by looking at it, you (nor anyone else) would be able to tell me which coating was used where. In fact I would wager that I could leave a panel uncoated and nobody would know the difference by only looking at it. If you mean which one is more glossy on an unpolished car then we are really asking which product "fills" swirls and micromarring better to give it the appearance of a glossy finish. In that case I do not know the answer because I have not applied any of the 3 to an unpolished surface.
If you want to polish out a scratch on a fender lets say do you still have to remove the whole coating (or attempt to..) from the whole panel? thats such a big negative with coatings..god forbid you have to wetsand the whole panel cause of a little scratch and polishing does nothing to remove durable coatings. Sealants/waxes you just get rid of the scratch and reapply just that area..plus coatsings last what..3 months opened? so then you gotta buy a whole 30ml vial for $100 just to touch up...all that work smh coatings are pain for people who actually care about their paint. Should be marketed towards soccer moms who dont give af.
Hi White, the answer to your question is: Yes, you can fix a spot without polishing the entire panel - We actually did a video that mentions a technique that will solve that. Here is the link. ua-cam.com/video/6TNx57Epxss/v-deo.html
Cure time is 1 / 4 / 12 / 72. In other words the car can be driven after an hour and pure water no longer can affect it but is not full cured until 72 hours so depending on what it is being exposed to it should not be released until 12~24 hours after coating generally.
Hi Thomas, as far as windows... YES But it will not bond to it for nearly as long as paint. So, totally fine to do but DQUARTZ Gforce should last longer on glass.
Get a good night of sleep and full meal if this is ur first time lol j/k… Cory is a wealth of knowledge and Carpro just simply works. Btw can RELEASE be used as an alternative?
This stuff surpassed my expectations big time!! I don't think you can get better value. Love the CarPro lineup.
Thank you for the comments Erik! Stoked your loving it.

Hi Pat, you can go with Release instead if you prefer. Reload has more protection but if you prefer Release then thats no problem.
@@SkyCarCareAwesome, thanks for the reply. I'm applying in the next couple of weeks. I'll post after I'm finished!

I bought a cancoat evo this time
I was curious about carpro Lite Thank you for the video
My pleasure!
Carpro lite is a lot easier to use, better looking and lasts longer in my experience. A lot easier to use, not sure if I said that ha ha ha

Incredible bang for the buck.
If you want slickness, top with Gliss.
Thanks for the great feedback!
How long before applying second coat
45~60 minutes
Is it possible to level/first wipe too early with Carpro CQUARTZ Lite?
Not really, I suppose if it is cooler weather and you wipe immediately that might be too soon but it flashes really quite quick.

If it is fully cured - 7+ days later it is ok. It is not ok as an immediate topper.

Yes that is fine! 2 Hours after the final coat of Lite.
Donc you have to polish before applying the coating or just à décontamination its ok thanks
That is exactly right, polish is one of the steps we ALWAYS recommend and do before coating. Wash, Decontaminate, Polish, Panel Wipe, Coat
Shelf life after it's been opened?
In the glass bottles it is 1-2 years depending on storage conditions. Once opened we recommend to use within 6 months.
