The Laydown:
Welcome to fantasy draft for season 6 you losers. Each person will draft 11 characters to play the field much like our favorite pig skin game of Football. The first 6 will be picked in rounds according to each player. Then, the next 5 will be drafted at random. In the pool will be both heroes and villains with different “stat blocks” on how to acquire points, again much like football fantasy. Deku saying a huge villain in the end is a call back to the first episode where he sees the giant villain
I love how much the final scene of this episode parallels the 1st episode of MHA. The cherry blossoms falling, the bright sunny sky, saying the same line "A giant villain". Except now Deku is standing ABOVE all the civilians, as he's now experienced hero society, and you can see the effect of the war on him
Exactly, Izuku at 14 was excited to see a giant villain from the sidelines. 2 years later, Izuku at 16 sees another giant villain and he just looks so tired because he now has the entire weight of OFA's legacy on his shoulders.
Edit: also wanted to add that the day that Izuku saw the giant villain was the same day he met All Might and was offered OFA
Oh, so when *Deku* talks to the voices in his head it’s “character development” and “lore”, but when *I* do it, I get recommended to a mental asylum🙄

@@denji3397 There is. Until now Deku never wondered what made villains become the people who they are. It was much simpler for him before: Punch the villain and save the day. Now he's questioning what was the right path. Yeah, he still wants to save people, but now that's no longer constrained to bystanders.
@@Biostar96 thats still is in deku's character tbh. He did say all those stuff but what to do with gentle , overhaul and muscular ? Like after you beat them you give em to cops anyway. Thats not character development. Its just an idea. Which won't work like 90 percent of the time except characters who were actually good before like gentle and nagant.
Remember how excited and amazed Deku was in the first episode when he said "Oh, a giant villain!"? Now the light has left his eyes 😢
I like the fact he uses "sayonara" which means he wouldn't be coming back

Not a spoiler but when ch 285 and the note book entry about the the 4th user was metion in the manga, there were 2 popular theories about him:
1. He was a villian
2. He had the decay quirk due the scar looking similiar to the one shiggy got after he over used his quriks

Fourth user Hikage Shinomori. The Shi part is homophonous with 4
Fifth user Daigoro Banjo. The go part means 5
Seventh user Nana Shimura. Nana straight up means 7
Eighth user Toshinori Yagi. The Ya part means 8
Ninth user Izuku Midoriya. The Ku part is homophonous with 9
Also, Mirio Togata could have been the tenth user, and To means 10

@@IreneShardaForever All Might researched the previous users before Heroes Rising, as he was exhausted during the interview training from staying up all night.
Now that comunication with the past users is easy it's funny to imagine them being totally into Deku's private life, i saw a fanart the other day about Deku trying to ask Uraraka out and the past users are giving him tips and advices especially Nana and it was adorable as hell
The OFA theme naming continues with Shinomori (Shi means 4). We still don't know En's full name but it'll definitely have a Roku or Mu in it somewhere.

The funniest part of this entire episode is that Touya somehow managed to set up a working TV inside a rundown mansion(Sorry CRC you've been evicted) and was just praying on Endeavor's downfall. Man was ready for the slip up.
Onto the episode, Tomura has constantly been shown with butterfly imagery ever since MVA. First inside the bloody cocoon during his backstory. Then him emerging from the cocoon during the Doctor's monologue about the experiment. Now we see him with butterfly wings in the imagery. Which makes me wonder if that's symbolism of All For One. All For One is the cocoon that Tomura has to shed. The guy who groomed him up to feel hatred towards everything and everyone. The guy who is now inside his body. If he sheds away that hatred and anger, will he be Tomura? Tenko? A new being entirely? Only time will tell.
There are two very interesting variables inside that scenario. Izuku and Spinner. Both have expressed wanting to help/save Tomura. Izuku wants to reach out to the little boy inside of him. Spinner wants him to be free from AFO. And I wonder how them both trying to save him in completely different ways is going to work out in the end

The thing that worries me about the theory about One for All being usable by a quirkless person because there's space for it, is that One for All has been growing. All Might was able to use it safely but he didn't have access to the previous user's quirks. Does a quirkless person have space for One for All regardless of how big it gets?

You know, I never thought about it until you mentioned the bullets, but Deku offering to give Mirio OFA after the raid because he was beating himself up over Nighteye's death actually would have worked out fine since he was Quirkless at that point.
It wouldn’t have, u have to be BORN quirkiness , because ur body is an empty vessel, his body was born with a quirk, he was molded around that singular quirk so youd still be stuffing quirks into a glass that was made for somehing else even if the contents of the glass arent their anymore
deku didnt have any glass to begin with so it formed around ofa and all the quirks

@@remmborn8154 I believe the textbook definition for the bullets is that according to the wiki literally destroy or erase the quirk entirely if not cured by the blue one (or by eri)
He no longer had a quirk, it wasn’t some sort of blockage with it still being present in some way. I believe he was literally put in a state of which no quirk resided within his body
We also need an explaination on how Deku healed his arms and legs so fast.
13:10 I actually dont know if quirk destroying bullets work to make you in essence quirkless, I think the quirk destroying bullets permanently damage the genes for your quirk to work or something along those lines, I think the quirk would still factor in to OFA despite permanently damaged so exponentially add to OFA
Yeah it really seems more like it's killing access to your quirk, but the factor itself still exists. If that's the case than you'd still suffer the side effects from gaining OFA. Just because the old quirk is dead doesn't mean it's not still taking up valuable space. Like junk files on a computer.

I was hoping for my theory to be true about OFA and the consciousness somehow adding to Izuku's life like a Superman thing where he might out live everyone xD but it might have turned out to be he opposite or maybe not, maybe because OFA is complete and or when all the quirks plus OFA have been awakened it might have either a positive affect or negative affect but I don't know if it'll ever get to that point or maybe in a sequel.
Actually, if you watch in the beginning, they actually show the holders in order when they cycle through them. Just wait for when they show the first holder first and then go from there.
HERE IT IS
This arc is the source of almost ALL of my speculation regarding OFA and why I’m so insistent on my theories and how I’ve cultivated it. It was the start of my truly in depth research of this show. I had an eye for detail back then, but I REALLY started practicing and developing it SPECIFICALLY because I started noticing a deeper nuance here.
I will say I don’t mind at all that All-Might’s blazing vestige is still. Mainly BECAUSE he’s injured and can’t use his power. But the fact he’s on fire tells me that he holds the prime of OFA even now. And there’s two differences between everyone else and Deku. Deku is partially covered in fog, and everyone has an equally sized upholstered throne. None of them are better or worse, each quirk stands the same in OFA. Yet Deku has no throne. The fog partially covering Deku is obviously meant to be taken as his control. He controls 45%. But the other holders mastered 100% of their era so they appear and can fight in full. And the throne? I believe that is the symbol of the prime. We don’t know how much is passed when OFA is passed. But it’s always smaller than the grandest aspect of the power, and somewhere along the line it is vastly improved. And All-Might was already injured when he met Deku, so I’m betting he gave him even less. And THAT is what Deku works to master. 1/60th of prime All-Might. And when he DOES claim the prime, it’ll likely be like Goku getting super saiyan. And I do not believe that has occurred yet. Almost ALL of it comes from these chapters. Heck, my theory of how Deku stockpiled his power comes in the next few episodes.
This also revealed a substantial amount that All-Might KNEW. He KNEW OFA was killing the quirk holders and could be killing Deku. That’s what Bakugo and All-Might were talking about as Float training was happening. And he MAY have realized that All-Might’s quirklessness wasn’t a factor. Didn’t tell Deku ANY of it. And while All-Might didn’t have as much IN DEPTH vestige encounter, I still standby my quirk accusations of All-Might awakening. The rapid expansion HAS occurred in Deku, but I still have yet to see proof the prime has been claimed. But I DO think his maximum will be MUCH greater than All-Might’s when the time comes for the prime to reach Deku.
I can’t WAIT. I’ve been waiting SO long to talk about this in the anime.
That being said, we also have why this arc is so personal to me. I want all of you to pay attention to Deku’s eyes throughout this arc. This kid is burdened with a COUNTRY worth of pressure. And as an empath….let’s just say what he’s feeling was completely and utterly inevitable. Deku has abandoned any sense of true emotional support he had with his friends. (I’ve also suspected for the longest time he said something more personal to Uraraka, but she DEFINITELY took it harder than anyone else even if I now know otherwise.

I wonder which of the vestiges is the most skilled in their fighting. Like assuming they all had 20% power, who would come out on top.
Also, assuming you saw the preview and new trailer, what are your thoughts on All Might having the previous quirks noe that we know En has different color smokescreen than we though?

Your 1st question I’ll say I think either the 4th holder or 2nd holder would win. I’d like to say All-Might for his 40 years, but I think the 4th’s quirk and the 2nd’s era with the pressure he was under would be able to win. Deku doesn’t have their skills yet.
As for the smokescreen quirk, I still fully intend to accuse All-Might quite frankly. Because the manga it looked EXACTLY the same, it acted up when All-Might was most worried about being caught and it masked his transformation. In season 1 after his Nomu battle and against AFO. I can’t possibly disregard all of that when it is used in the same exact way. Especially since we know that All-Might DOES have the lightning appearance Deku does so it’s not just a variation of it. It still looks like it’s leaking off of Deku like it did for All-Might. I REALLY wish they made it the same color so it didn’t throw mud against it. And we don’t know enough about smokescreen and how it’s applied so there might be something in there causing a color change too. I wish I didn’t have to ask so many counter questions now, but I’m too committed to back down.

I'd also say the 2nd and 4th but leaning more for the second since we know that the 4ths quirk can be negated with fast enough attacks. Although i would add All Might to the mix. I still think he doesnt have all the other quirks which forced him to use the amount of power he had to use it uniquely with more experience. His flight can easily be explained with him being able to have air attacks from his strength and it's more than possible to change his trajectory midair just by shifting his body and using air pressure produced by his movements to maneuver. Not to mention since he was trained by Gran Torino, he would know/learn how to use it to propel himself around with it

I completely understand WHY you say that about All-Might, but you can’t deny it is still a possibility. All-Might’s remarks about the quirks in season 5 were just SO dang suspicious. With how he said I’ve never seen or heard of the holder you described, and my master and the 6th holder didn’t know anything about the sleeping quirks in OFA. It was WAY too convenient of a question dodge. All-Might just knows more than what he lets on. He never tells Deku he feels a twinge of OFA still with him, and the blazing vestige of All-Might still has a LOT of questions to look at.
With this we’ve reached the end of the War Aftermath Portion of the Arc, but the Crumbling of Hero Society will continue to be showcased however.
We are now in the Final Saga, from here on out nothing will ever be the same again.
I hope the Anime does this coming Arc justice, maybe even add to it, we’ll see.

If Nana died when he was 18 that means he already had OFA, so if he had it for around 40 years and one year has passed since he gave it to Deku in the third episode of season 1 that means he is probably between 55 and 60.

All for One, if a first generation quirk user, would be anywhere from 150 to 200 years old; Izuku is a (as of right now) 16 year old, 5th generation wielder; a generation on average is 25-30 years. We know based off the information given so far that, as children, neither afo or his brother had quirks (back when they talk about reading comics and dreaming of super powers as kids), and then suddenly, after the birth of a child in China that could produce light, quirks started popping up all over the globe. They were already born when this occurred and society was thrown into chaos. The anime doesn't really touch to much on Overhaul's disease theory too much, and I'm not sure I believe it too much either way, but it's still something to think about.
If their level of tech makes it difficult to date the series, I doubt it's anywhere past 2214 (probably around 2164-2214; Quirks appeared in 2014). we have to remember that Izuku in season 1 said that after the emergence of quirks, most technology that was not focused on quirks, or stumbled upon as a result of that research (medical, support gear, etc) stagnated, especially things like space research in specific. I imagine the chaos that was the first few generations didn't help too much for technological advancement of society either.
Most of the quirk less population are elderly with a small percentage being slightly older or in deku's generation like Melissa.
If he holds it longer than allmights 40 years, by the time deku's too old to continue using OFA and wants to pass it on, there might very well be literally no eligible candidates alive. That's crazy to me. That they're an endangered species.

You know… that whole thing with OFA killing you, high key proofs the doomsday singularity theory correct and really puts the intentions of AFO in question. We know he knows about the issues of the quirk singularity and he and the doc have been doing research about it. Shiggy also first hand experienced the “cracks” the 4th was talking about.
Also, if a part of AFOs consciousness is transferred each time he transfers a quirk, that would ultimately mean that he would already be part of Dekus/OFAs consciousness. Which would explain where he got all the Intel on Nanas child, Allmights decay/ emotional attachment and Dekus nickname from.
Also let’s not forget that the Doc met Deku…
So my theory is, that AFO is also the first OFA user and that the whole brother thing is a bs story (or the brother is in on it) to emotionally manipulate people and literally get in their head.
All just so that AFO can do some live research on quirk transfers and so that he can create the ultimate vessel…one for each fraction…kinda like onslaught from marvel…and low key a conspiracy like in the three musketeers - gathering intel to start stuff, to blackmail stuff and to take over stuff.
But I am definitely reaching here.

Well it said “thanks for everything until now Ururaka” which, pretty sure, was special (just imagine “thanks for everything until now Kaminari/Zero etc would have been questionable) Bakugo also did not really get much more in terms of it being “special”, at least as far as we know, because Bakugo didn’t even bother reading the whole thing and ripped it apart, because he also agrees (with Ururaka) that Deku is an idiot and in the process of killing himself and that he needs to bring him back.
That’s right Naruto! Move over, there is someone else who’s blonde and really angry on the way to bring back his frienemy… hair colors should have been a give away
Might add Deku had to write a bit of a different letter for Bakugo because Bakugo already knew about OFA. Imagine Deku just giving him a standard letter like “Ey Kacchan what’s up, 80% of the people in this world have an uncanny ability called Quirks. I was born quirkless but I was given a power by Allmight”.
This would Insta kill Bakugos ego 😂
@@annaavertho4944 bakugo did read it off panel, but japanese readers translated what they could make out of the pieces and noticed that yes his letter contained a lot more personalized phrases compared to everyone else in the class
