Welcome to fantasy draft for season 6 you losers. Each person will draft 11 characters to play the field much like our favorite pig skin game of Football. The first 6 will be picked in rounds according to each player. Then, the next 5 will be drafted at random. In the pool will be both heroes and villains with different “stat blocks” on how to acquire points, again much like football fantasy. 45:50 I think Gabe is right. Before the war, Deku needed a strong emotion to activate a predecessor’s quirk. After his fight with Shiggy, however, the predecessors are all awakened including their quirks. Deku can now use any of their quirks with the help of the past users since they can now tell him how to activate their quirks. This is what happened with En and his smokescreen. The problem in this ep was that the 2nd and 3rd refused to help Deku but after the talk with the first, they are willing to let and teach Deku how to use their quirks. In conclusion, Gabe is right, IT IS both, no need for stressors anymore at this point.
Yeah, you guys are right! Lady Nagant's name is a reference to the Mosin-Nagant, a military rifle first developed in the late 1800s. And manga author Horikoshi sensei stated that her skill in curving bullets was directly inspired from Angelina Jolie's role as Fox in Wanted.
We know having multiple quirks killed the fourth OFA user but it still took 10 years of having it for the effects of having two quirks to show up. She hasn't had two quirks long enough for it to hurt her yet.
1:55 - Translation isn't the best for this part. It's about her looking like a mutant person, and they think she looks threatening as a giant. This relates to Spinner's background facing some discrimination in the past looking like a lizard.

Yep, Nagant was aiming for Deku’s phone to cut off communication, not him. Malicious intent has to be directed to him (or person) for danger sense to activate... this specific feature will be relevant for later. lol

1st OFA user brought up point that he could have easily been killed as being the enemies' brother. But 2nd user took enough time to stop before just shooting to look in his eyes and reach out to him. Thus, he helped begin the cycle of OFA, with that first act of reaching out. That theme of reaching out to people (like Deku does in the OP) is consistent.
Nagant was a former hero, seems she is at least empathetic to Overhaul to help him out of prison cell before she even saw who it was.
1:55 that's a mistranslation, in the manga they said "It's her fault for walking around looking like that"
So Idk if this is said in the anime, but at this point in the manga in chapter 310, the second user name drops the first user who's named Yoichi.
Also if you look closely at the crowd of people attacking Endeavor and co. you can see Twice's old boss in there
Rhett, when Banjo talks about things being really bad like this before, I think he was talking about his time as well. Remember, that even in the 4th user's time, he said it was a lot darker and crueler in his time. He and Banjo weren't that far from each other in terms of eras. In fact, from previous seasons, even All Might has stated when he was a kid talking to Nana, that people would still be running in fear and that there was no symbol of peace for people to draw on. That's why he became that symbol. I think the dark times was a lot longer than you think they were. It wasn't just the times of Holder 1,2, and 3, but even further into holders 4,5, and perhaps a little into 6 and 7.

Lady Nagant’s Sniper Battle is among my favorites of MHA. Even though I know DARN well Deku is completely broken inside and is forcing himself forward on fumes, this is a fight I never bore of. I got some analysis as per usual.
The return to the MVA scenes made me so happy because of scenes like that unsettling one of attacking the 8 foot fox girl. They all needed the full context of MVA. It really sets in the part of society that in a way justifies their will to destroy society. (Emphasis on in a way. Not every way.) This world isn’t as shiny as it appears.
Endeavor having to deal with the backlash of the public is equally unsettling. I wanted to briefly bring up his press conference after admitting Dabi was his son. Whose bone headed idea was it to ANNOUNCE TO THE PUBLIC that the Families of UA High are evacuating TO THE SCHOOL?! That’s like saying to the villains “Here is where you’ll find the best hostages.” And it drives me insane to this day they just TELL THEM. For more than one reason, but we’ll leave it at that for now. Just…keep it in mind.
Back to the scene of Endeavor worrying about Deku taking the burden of the public, I’ll say while it’s not direct, he’s DEFINITELY feeling it. It’s one of the bigger problems with being an empath. Distance and non direct emotions aren’t that helpful. It’s true the blame of the war doesn’t land on Deku, he knows DARN well he would be EQUALLY hated if the public found out that EVERYTHING in the war on the villain side was prepared to fight HIM SPECIFICALLY. I’ve talked to MANY Empaths since this arc occurred in the manga and regarding other fictional Empaths and even about me and others being Empaths. We all would’ve felt the blame anyway no matter where it went. And the fact it hits a teacher of his that he trusts and admires being Endeavor? There’s some HEAVY guilt there. And in the state he’s in? That’s ROUGH.
Even more so people that are NOT shy of piling on the burden is the other holders of OFA demanding Deku put an end to a 200 year conflict. We FINALLY get confirmation why the 2nd and 3rd holder were holding out. Because they were not just from AFO’s strongest hold on the country, but apart of a rebellion AGAINST him. And the 2nd holder? It’s LEADER. To hear Deku wants to reach out and save Tenko Shimura? Had to be a slap to the face. And I LOVE that the 1st holder said, oh sure. Yet YOU reached out to me and STARTED OFA proper. And THAT gets them BOTH to come forward and basically offer their quirks right then and there. It’s ALL out. The vestiges are working in perfect tandem. Coaching his use, and literally EVERY second he fights he gets stronger. Not as fast as it’s GOING to get once he gets the prime, but I’ve said my piece why that’s impossible for now. Stockpile is still his greatest weapon. There would be no other quirks without the stockpile.
This also covers a bit of the mystery of AFO NEEDING Shigaraki. And the hatred, and more. This is where I started looking into the limitations of AFO. How many quirks can he steal at once? How does his quirk work? Can he only give with one hand and take with the other? Regardless what his limitations are, Shigaraki or AFS surpasses whatever limitations he had. And considering what AFO used against Nana in the OVA…yeah, we haven’t seen JACK of what AFO can really do. Much like Deku, Shigaraki surpassing his master has a LOT to live up to.
And then there’s Lady Nagant. Of course the Public Safety Commission had a designated individual before Hawks. He’s in his early 20’s isn’t he? Like 22? And since what we know what HAWKS has to do, you can only imagine what SHE has done. And we FINALLY have a villain in the same class as Stain. The hero trained villain type. Having a whole scene DEDICATED to gushing about how good she is with her quirk, how good the quirk is and only NOW finding out what Snipe’s quirk is in the anime. Her coming out under the cover of rain, being Endeavor’s, Best Jeanist’s, AND All-Might’s worst conditions to assist. (SPECTACULAR atmosphere by the way.) She makes her deal with the devil and gets a new quirk, and not just any quirk, the one that AFO uses to just unsettlingly look down on you. (Which is why he didn’t just walk off island Tartarus. GREAT detail.) And KNOWING even with OFA, Deku is meant to RUN from her. And she’s sniping a freaking KILOMETER away through BUILDINGS. The stage has been set for a TRULY awesome fight I love. She does NOT mess around.
And yeah, yet another episode that reminds me just how much I love the Rogue arc. It’s SO good.
They made the schools a shelter so that they could use more of their man power to protect people. The villains aren't just gonna waltz in there and kill everyone at a hero stronghold.

It’s not like they JUST learned strongholds of the highest defensive units are still susceptible to the terrors of AFS/AFO. And this time there’s actually not much point in worrying about what could kill the target of capture. And with the Top 3 heroes KNOWN to be elsewhere, AND Deku/All-Might…AND Aizawa their biggest problem crippled. Yeah it’s not a gamble worth taking. AT ALL.
@Kaempfdog AFO is an exception obviously. Any normal villain wouldn't have been able to breach Tartarus. Even AFO acknowledged this. He just happened to have the right two quirks for the job on the outside and inside. None of the villains we've seen is breaching U.A and surviving. And AFO in the first place isn't interested in attacking people or schools rn. He's interested in Deku who left to he on his own, which AFO is aware of. Not to mention with both shigi and AFO being weak right now, they would lose of they tried that again with the heros recovered
@@calebrichardson5259 the problem is that they don’t know how quickly he’ll recover or how fast his body will stabilize, or if AFO is in good enough shape to do HIS shenanigans. (Let’s not forget last time AFO battled he swatted away a giant Endeavor blast then proceeded to treat him like a noisy kid at a library.) WE have the info. WE know. But the characters don’t have any real way to put it together. And considering the person who thought it’d be a good idea for such an announcement? Let’s just say I believe that to be a bit out of sorts.
Also, again I’ll mention the hostage situation. Deku, Endeavor, Hawks, Jeanist, AND All-Might are away from UA. If they attacked UA, nothing is there really to stop them from taking hostages. Especially with the Nomu and other aspects. This doesn’t happen sure, but it’s not something that could be for certain gambled on. And THAT is why I think it was a dumb choice. Or more accurately, I think there’s more in that choice. And not everyone agrees with me on it.

A good review, though I think Gabe is actually right on a lot of things, even though Rhett kinda bullies him about it.
So yeah, remember how Spinner's backstory talked about how there are people who hate on heteromorphs(people with quirks that make them look not human)? Yeah. The lady getting attacked at the beginning of this episode was one of them. It was a rainy day and people saw someone who didn't look 100% human, so they just assumed she was a villain and started attacking her. The crazy thing is, this isn't even the CRC. These are REGULAR civilians. The CRC goes to the extreme when they attack heteromorphs but that doesn't mean regular civilians don't also have some level of discrimination. Which says a lot about the society they live in. Even if the League goes a bit far with their violence, they are 100% right when they say the current system is flawed and needs to be changed. Maybe not completely destroyed, but definitely adjusted.
Hawks brings up an interesting point in this episode. AFO needs a strong body to handle the quirk OFA. But he also needs Tomura's hatred. You'd think after having his brother stolen from him and failing to get his quirk back time and time again that he would hate the users of OFA. Especially All Might for what he did to him. Yet he keeps smiling and laughing as if he doesn't have a care in the world.
Speaking of All For One, it seems like he's completely predicted how Izuku would act. That he would go out on his own, push past his limits and try to find him and Tomura quickly. Whilst also trying to put the escapees back in prison. Which is very dangerous. Izuku is tiring himself out in the search for AFO because he believes he has to. But he's playing right into AFO's hands.
Lady Nagant has been introduced. A former hero/assassin trained by the Hero Safety Commission. Wow. The Hero Comission being super shady yet again. Who could've seen that coming? She has a quirk that lets her fire and curve bullets to hit her targets using her hair. A quick with range. And to avoid people escaping her range, All For One has also gifted her one of his own quirks, Air Walk. A sniper that can quickly change position and move through the air. Scary.
"Dressed like that" is a mistranslation. They said "Looking like that" - they're talking about her relatively monstrous appearance, being very very tall and having animal features. Japan heavily discriminates against anything and anyone who doesn't conform to the norm/look and behave the exact same as others, including blaming parents for their children being this way. Combine that with fantastical racism and... yeah.
As for multiple Quirks, it fully depends on the person. Some people can withstand friggin... five or six Quirks at once without too terrible of a loss of cognition, some others crumble away after one or two. Usually just one Quirk won't kill someone's brain, though sometimes it can impair them.

I don't know if your discord already told you, but right now the anime's up to chapter 313 or so, right now there are 380 manga chapters, with more to come (it was planned to end in 2022 but Horikoshi realised that just wasn't going to happen).
The anime's catching up mainly because of the anime adapting at a faster pace and Horikoshi needing more and more breaks since just after the war arc.
To put things into perspective, the end of season 4 went up to around chapter 185, less than 2 seasons later and we're already past chapter 300

I believe there's a translation error in the beginning of the episode. 1:53 It should be "It's her fault for walking around looking like that at night." Referring to her not looking like a standard human.

8:50 - Probably depends on *multiple factors* like the quirk itself, body of person, and amount of them as it isn't precise to what point it affects someone to have more of a nomu brain. Like a gradient of some sort.

Re: The appearance of Quirks for Deku - The first appearance of the other vestiges’ Quirks was both an accident and a sort-of planned event. At the end of Season Four/Beginning of Season Five, Deku had that dream where Yoichi (Little Brother/First User) told Deku that the time was close and he wasn’t alone. During Joint Training, against Monoma, Blackwhip manifested accidentally, but also in response to Deku’s desire to catch Monoma. It was an uncontrolled and largely unplanned manifestation, and Daigoro Banjo told Deku in the Vestige World that he was “lucky” that his Quirk manifested FIRST. It wasn’t that Banjo “decided” to let Deku use his power - it just happened to work out that way.
Before the War Arc, All Might wanted to make sure that Deku was prepared for the POSSIBILITY of Float manifesting next, so they did some training under the guise of learning how to maneuver in the air & getting used to handling his body while floating. That way, when Float DID manifest, he was prepared for the sensation and use of the Quirk. It was planned for in advance, but it wasn’t like Nana SPECIFICALLY said “Okay, Midoriya, you can use my Quirk RIGHT NOW!” Conversely, during the War Arc, Danger Sense manifested accidentally, again, under stress. It wasn’t a “planned” release; it just happened.
The only time, manga and anime, that the Vestiges made a collective (if reluctant) decision to lend Deku their Quirks was during the “meeting” in Vestige Space, after AFO’s attempt at stealing OFA pulled them into full consciousness. It was at THAT TIME that Yoichi asked the 2nd & 3rd users to VOLUNTARILY lend Deku their strength, in order to start to fully manifest the might of One For All. It was at THAT POINT that it was a a conscious decision from the Vestiges to let Deku have full access to their powers.
At this point in the anime, Deku has access to OFA base, Blackwhip, Float, Smokescreen (which was granted AFTER the hospital meeting), and Danger Sense. As of Episode 20, we don’t yet know if Deku has full access to the 2nd or 3rd’s Quirks, or what they’ll be.
Hopefully, this helps settle any confusion from their conversations re: Deku getting the Vestiges’ Quirks, and how.

Now, we are continuing the Dark Hero/Deku Arc of the Final Act Saga, starting off with another display of just how far the Hero Society has fallen, then a update on what happened at the end of Izuku’s meeting with the former Wielders, then some catching up with Deku’s current allies and then ends off with the official Introduction to Lady Nagant, the Former Hero,
Next I guess we’ll continue where we left-off with the Deku vs Lady Nagant Fight, I really hope that they do this Fight justice, actually Horikoshi has said there were things with Lady Nagant that he wish he could’ve covered more of but didn’t have the time to, so i guess we’ll see if the Anime will cover more of Lady Nagant than the Manga did at the time,
Regardless, we’ll have to see about that, it would be a shame for them to let us down now, so I really hope the Next Couple of Episodes won’t disappoint.

Using the .220 Swift you get Mach 4.1 and Deku is struggling Dodge it, that makes him extremely slow in terms of speed.

as vigilantes just heard “a monster appeared in this neighborhood” they thought this huge mutant-girl was the one people mentioned. this scene shows the prejudice against mutants which never existed in the past decades has finally appeared in this society. I assume this is the point why they censored the translation
