    The dude at about 0:40 that said his name was gangster Lou is a legend from Harlem. Very well known in the '80s '90s and early 2000s. He's got to be in his late 50s by now. He used to get money with az and Rich Porter. They had the bricks from fritz going for like 19,500 a joint. They was taking them over to Jersey and sell them for 25. Word on the street was gangsta Lou got f***** up on drugs for a while and fell off when he came home from prison. But I don't know if that's true. But one thing I do know is gangster Lou was a very serious and very dangerous on the streets of Harlem

He survived Rikers and then few years after getting out didn’t survive the streets of Spanish harlem drug scene. Man I’m so proud my Apple fell far far from my dads tree. Stay free 🫶

    I was locked up in a jail pod this one time run by this guy by religion, we still had fights and stuff but not like regularly but nobody jacked your stuff nobody acted overly tough nobody was bullying nobody. As soon as you went in the pod you were greeted with a cup of coffee a soup and told when church was but if you missed church you never got free anything again until you sacrificed a days worth of food trays for the inergent in the pod. It was surreal. I wasnt going to church or prayed but i showed respect enough to work out with them but i couldn't play games with them. It was like me and 2 other guys who didn't do the religious stuff and us 3 kicked it but other then exercise we weren't invited or allowed to nothing no card games no community slams

    Although it really sucks me getting locked up at just 15 YESRS old def made me tougher and prepared for a lot of situations after that. I was in there with guys that were about to be 18 for shooting and already killing someone and armed robbery charges I found out Real quick you gotta stand your ground just be straight up with those guys and show them right away you ant taking any shit and your not looking to let anyone get over on you at all. Like if someone ever asked “aye man when you gone be done with that phone ? been on it a while” people waiting and stuff. You just say I’ll be off in 5 mins and then you can have it or give me a little longer and you can have it I gotta talk my to people too just like you. Keep it respectful but strictly lay the law down. But don’t be that guy that’s always hoggin the phone either. Everyone is gonna need the phone. But yeah as far as that kid who’s the wimp I guess yes that was a obvious question any new person who ant been to jail before would ask and he must not know many people that’s been to jail either to have some sort of advice before he landed his dumbass in there. But AWESOME VIDEO just like all the entertainment he gives us.

    I don’t know how true this is but I heard the reason rulers used to, or still does let people where there street clothes and keep there jewelry is because it’s such a big facility and New York has such a huge population that goes to one jail ( I think there’s only rulers in nyc). That they have to hire so many guards to run the place, so they hire anybody almost and if they took clothes and jewelry and put in a property like they do in tn where I’m from and other jails that people where having so much expensive stuff stolen they decided to let them keep it so they wouldn’t be sued constantly or accused of stealing so much that they would rather make it where if something was stolen it was the inmates. Even though that ment making the violence and your chances of being beaten and robbed , they don’t care because it’s cheaper then having to deal with theft lawsuits and accusations and have to pay all the attorneys fees it made it not worth it

    If you kept your jewelry, you was most likely going to get tried and if you put it in property, the C.O.'s would steal it.
    P.s. the phones were free back then also. It was common to see someone walking around with the receiver in there hand so Noone can use it. The Spanish Brothers used to let me get time on there phone, blacks weren't even letting there own get slot time unless they was bout it or paying.

    How’s it going Josh? I grew up in NY, but upstate NY. There’s a huge difference. It’s funny when your anywhere else in the United States, when you say your from NY people automatically assume your from the city. This is really funny because NY is s huge state and the city is a very small part of the state, the state capital is Albany, NY . It originally was Kingston, NY where I was born and lived near most of my life. Most people who live upstate will always tell you that the city is a great place to visit but I’d never want to live there. It’s a completely different world from upstate. I remember being in the city with my brother when we were teenager’s, long before the legalization of marijuana. Back then if you asked anyone if they thought it would ever be legal? It wasn’t even up for discussion then not even considered in the realm of possibility!! Although it was well known you could easily get it and pretty much whatever you wanted. We were walking down the street around Washington square park in nyc, we were smoking a joint not thinking anything about it. Next thing I know a cop is right behind me and my brother and he grabs us and pulls us to the side. He said where are you from? He said you might get away with doing that where you come from but you aren’t going to get away with it here. He said I could throw both you and your brother in Rikers island for the weekend . He said you won’t think your so smart then, they love young white country boys like yourselfs . He made us throw out the joint we were smoking and warned us that we better not get caught doing anything again! We both were scared shittless we knew about Rikers and had heard all the horror stories and we were just young stupid kids. I don’t know if he actually could have put us in jail but at that time we weren’t taking any chances and we were almost crying, apologizing and promising we would never do it again. Then just found a better place to smoke! And who would ever have imagined it would be completely legal today!! I know my life was changed from a simple possession of marijuana charge. I was once charged with a violation for possession of a gram of marijuana. It wasn’t a big deal at the time and was a small fine , but what most don’t realize is how that one charge labels you and if you get in trouble again, it’s worse because of that original charge that’s always there. So with everything becoming legal, how do you compensate everyone, people like me who wouldn’t have been labeled from a young age as having possession of marijuana. The effects it has are almost impossible to figure out the impacts it has, how many people were turned down for jobs, not accepted to college or your credit. There’s untold damage done that comes from a simple violation charge from marijuana. How am I going to be compensated? I won’t ! It’s tough shit! Just goes to show the manipulation of our government and the games they play over money. Now that they have screwed up and need money now they will legalize because it benefits them!!what if my brother and I were put in Rikers and were hurt or something, all over a simple joint! I can only imagine the people who were actually sent to horrible places over nothing. Now there’s weed stores opening all over without any permit or license and the state knows and isn’t doing anything. They are giving licenses and permits to people who have been effected by being charged with a crime related to marijuana. I guess they are cherry picking the people they want to. I know I should be eligible for the permit. I’d love the opportunity to open my own store . I have the commercial property and a great location. Anyone who wants to help start a marijuana store in an incredible location. Let me know. Thanks again Josh. Take care man!

      NY State doesn't look big on a map that's why. If you look up the biggest states in square miles , New York is only in the middle with the 50 states

    • @irvingbrown2389
      @irvingbrown2389 Рік тому

      @@michaeljones-um8sn It looks pretty big to me. It’s the biggest state in the North East. I know whenever I wasn’t home, I lived in Florida once, I always missed NY. It’s very unique in many ways . Florida is great because of the warm weather, but it becomes too much with the heat all the time and it’s a disgusting humid heat. Also the everything is so flat , no mountains. New York has a good mix of all the climates and many different terrains. I love the freshwater mountain streams and abundance of natural swimming holes and incredible fishing, I can either freshwater fish or saltwater fish. Maybe I’m biased because I was born here. But I’ve traveled to several different places and there just something about NY that always calls me back. Even now that I’m getting older and Winters are tough on me physically and financially I still can’t imagine living anywhere else. There’s still large areas of nature, undisturbed by people, areas you can see the beauty of our planet and ask yourself why we are destroying it, why don’t more people care about the very thing that gives us life. Why would anyone ever consider leaving it behind To start over someplace else when we could make what we already have a great place for everyone. I guess it’s the grass is greener scenario, or the throw away society has gotten to a point where our own planet is considering a throw away! If we have the technology to terraform a planet and create an atmosphere than obviously we can fix the damage done here create a better atmosphere here. Not just in the air we breathe but the environments we all have to live in on a daily basis. The very thing that shapes us all as individuals and as s society. Why doesn’t the U.S. look at countries like Switzerland who have completely gotten rid of their drug problems as well as their suicide and overdose problems. They have figured out how to solve some of the biggest issues we face in our country. They don’t have a revolving door policy in their prisons like we do. Instead of rehabilitation we care more about how we can keep someone incarcerated. Labeling kids from a young age for stupid mistakes that are easily moments that can be a defining moment where instead of being punished and labeled they could be educated and given opportunity to make something out of themselves and shown how good life can be for everyone if everyone could be educated, have opportunities at good paying jobs, opportunity to own their own homes and vehicles, access to health care and dentistry. All things that should be considered basic human rights. The rich have taken over. They don’t want change because their greed overshadows everything, hopefully when A.I. takes over it will see the ridiculous nature in how our country is run. Hopefully it targets these billionaires who are running this planet into the dirt for their own benefit . You think all this fentanyl hitting the streets killing millions is an accident? No way! It stinks of a dirty corrupt government. This country has become so divided, there’s the disgustingly rich , the government and everyone else. Let’s hope that one day prisons won’t be overflowing with people charged with drug charges or petty crimes. The only people who truly belong there are people who cannot be rehabilitated regardless of what education they receive or what medical or mental help they get. There’s plenty of people who are a real danger to society. There’s far too many who aren’t and who could easily be rehabilitated if given opportunity for basic human rights. There’s kids graduating from high school being denied education because they can’t afford it? This is insanity. Our society places more value on celebrities than it does educating our youth. Hopefully someday society will get its priorities right!! If not we’re doomed. As long as this government is in place, nothing will ever change! We’re allowing criminals who we pay with hard earned tax dollars to blatantly steal and lie and manipulate the country. Send our children, brothers and sisters into foreign countries under false pretenses to be killed, all for political gain. We still haven’t evolved past killing over land, resources, power. Reagan once said if Aliens invaded earth you would see a world willing to work together on order to save human civilization. World leaders, dictators all on the same page. Why wait for a possible extinction event? Why not see what everyone sees and do something about it now? Gn Ed reason we don’t is there’s far too many rich people not willing to change anything because they only care about their own pockets. What good is all that money if there’s no place to spend it. If we face a global event that threatens civilization, money won’t mean a thing. It’s amazing that with the most intelligent of people, that no one can see what’s obvious to the simplest of people. Sorry I get carried away and off subject. Thanks for replying. Take care.

Idk if that's true. But everyone I know that was there in the 90s has massive scars on their head from gettin split while they were there lol. It used to be a state mental hospital. There's miles of tunnels underneath it that the prison also used up untill like late 90s or early 2000s I think. That place even looks scary.
