You were talking about being released and that feeling. Like you said there is absolutely nothing like it. I was sentenced to 15 years and gave back 10 on my appeal. I remember getting released at 3 am and just being being content to sit on a bench outside with a cigarette and some real food watching cars go by. Knowing I could go anywhere I wanted whenever I wanted. I'll never forget that feeling.
I remember getting out after doing 21 years and upon release standing in the parking lot with family with my back to the prison just looking out in the vast property around the prison, talking to everyone and they had to tell me let's go✌️😂

I did 3 different state bids, the longest was 7 years, the shortest 3. Well over 5 years I have not had any police contact. One thing I learned is Don't have a jail house mentality on the streets, all it will get you is a quick trip back. Another valuable thing I learned is that gangsters aren't winners its the honest hard working man is the winner.
Exactly Right! The Jail House Mentality on the streets is what destroys a felon. They don't properly harness that toughness and fearlessness in the real world the right way.
@timothyAreeves Yeah, knew a guy who was a career car thief. He got paroled after 2 years of a 3 year bid on his first offense, had an ankle monitor n stuff he had to wear as part of his parole. My boss who was his older brothers best friend and grew up with him gave him a job at his auto shop cuz he was a great mechanic. But the second that monitor came off and he was off parole he slipped back into his old mentality, started associating with his old crowd, skipping work, eyeing client vehicles. My boss had to let him go, and it pissd my boss off so hard he punched a wall after he did. Dudes in for 7 years now, same charges repeat offense. You gotta want to change for yourself and really mean it or once the systems leash comes off youre going right back in. And the system is designed to do that to you.

I mean me, and this guy at one time got into it, and there was a slight build up and it looked like me and him are going to end up banging. Now this was a prospect that I really wasn’t wanting first off as I said he was running around with lotta dudes so I didn’t necessarily know who was going to be rolling with him next I was giving up three or 4 inches and probably 80 pounds. So I was not looking forward to fighting in a tightly packed enclosed area. Luckily that got worked out without any violence. And that’s why it would scare me. A dude who I didn’t wanna fight is getting turned out. Well shit. If they got him , it’s probably not gonna be long until they ’re gonna try me. Proud to say I made it out fully intact. Thats true 90% of the time. However, ive personally witnessed otherwise heterosexual guys who are so scared of physical violence that they suffer sexual advances and worse. Often times under disguise as gang membership, only the leader is a predator and all the other "gang mrmbers" are prior victims and fellow predators. Totally sickening. Guys too scared to throw a punch. Literally. Go slap your son off that video game right now and make him engage in combat. Practice decision making under pressurized situations. Parents dont understand that a teenagers body reacts to everyday social situations almost as entensely as a combat situation. Kids with any social anxiety have more intense automatic physical reactions to these normal social environments. The teen perception of feeling outcast or misfit is very common, even among teens who one would believe wouldnt be effected. Even the so-called "cool kids" have social anxieties. The physical signal that your brain sends the body in these everyday situations is very similar to the bodies response to combat. Being able to remain calm and think clearly in both scenarios is a great tool to have.
I was locked up at Ross correctional in Ohio. Tattoo guy was being extorted by the bloods. The leader was on the other side. He found out and set up a hepatitis ring with said tattoo guy. They had him working for 2 months straight no pay. Everyday. They took his commissary too. Well they talk needed a little touch up after the fact. The leader sent tattoo guy 500 and supplied him with hepatitis somehow. After he was done with all touch up work he checked in. Told COs what happened. They all were locked up and nurses visited them. They all had hepatitis. Tattoo guy wasnt charged. He beat the cases. I was so surprised.
