I caught my life sentence in 1991, at the age of 21, and truly believed I was never going home. You're taught to accept that and to forget the outside world. You're taught to focus on you're new world and what's happening there because a lack of focus can get you killed. Your mind must be strong to survive in prison, especially here in Cali. Thoughts of the outside can make you depressed, mentally weak, and put you in danger. By the grace of God I made it home after 24 yrs. I been out for 7 and never returned to my former lifestyle. God is good🙏

I started watching prison videos back on 2017 when I was looking at 10-15 years for 4 felony charges. Initially I was told I could take a plea and would only have to serve 3 years. I decided to take it to trial after my court appointed lawyer kept pressing me to take a plea. By the grace of God I beat the charges. I definitely wasn't innocent and kept on the wrong path until late 2019. Your videos and others definitely opened my eyes.

You can’t be emotional forever in the bunk. Some day you have to snap outta it n realize the reality. It isn’t going to change, Are you gonna live ur life out in a bunk upset n depressed daily or are you gonna go live the best life you can while there until you go. After the depression some dudes turn into demons n don’t care anymore cause they know what really they was trying to deny in their own heads about going home again. For Some that nothing to lose mentality sets in instantly. At that point you have nothing to care about but yourself you’re respect n personal safety in the situations you get in.

My daughter was initially indicted for a capital felony and was up for death penalty. She has been in county jail for a little over 2 years, and will be sentenced to prison in April. Death penalty is off the table, but we are negotiating a life sentence. I'm not sure how long, but she is going to prison on a murder charge. Someone else did it but they said she knew he was going to rob the man. So murder occurred while committing a felony act. I am raising the grandbabies and am here for my daughter. The baby was born premature in jail and almost died. Unfortunately, I understood a few things in this video. I don't think anyone can actually prepare for something like this.

I was among the last few shipments of inmates to go through graterford about 5 or 6 years ago. Inmates ran that whole jail, quite literally. That was a gladiator school, and my side of the block (the part by the kitchen) was about 200 people. It was a classification jail, so I was only there about 4mos, but that place was nuts. Easily one of the more truly violent prisons I've been to... Lots of food though. Tastes like hospital food, but a decent amount. 4 out of 10, would not recidivise.

So my motive was to get to the least violent prison. The one that allows you the most privileges. Then stay there long as possible. Also, make small things into big events to look forward to. Canteen day, food sales. Plenty to keep you going.

I’m an old lady, 72, and I really like this channel. (I don’t do gaming but all the rest is great!)
My paternal grandpa spent time in Angola prison in Louisiana. He killed a man during a drunken brawl over trot lines! (Don’t steal another man’s fish.)
Anyway somehow the Governor back at that time decided to give him a “compassionate parole” or something like that. He had a wife and 3 kids who were pretty much starving, and it was during the depression. The local mayor wrote to the governor and helped him get out. - Then they had 8 more kids. Lol At some point my grandpa started going to church and quit drinking. If he killed a man today he probably wouldn’t have managed to get out of prison, however he wasn’t sentenced to life without parole.
He absolutely hated Angola. I think he might’ve been kinda scared straight after spending a few years there.
I have a friend whose son is in Angola now. Life without parole. It’s really sad. He got addicted to pain meds after a football injury. That led him to make a really bad decision when he was 25.

Man, I've always had a hard time feeling bad for people that end up in prison. But, some of them stories do at least make me feel some compassion or something for them. Like when the dude basically says, "how did I let myself get to that situation?" At the same time though, I never tried to rob some lady. It's tough.

LOCKDOWN 23 and 1, I’ve been a subscriber of yours for a while now and watching this video here I really truly feel for you guys with the exception of those that are doing time or life for brutal straight up murder.
So man I have to say they need to really seriously need to change the way of life in these prisons they really do’ from clothing, medical attention they need to treat th ease guy’s way better than they do now I pray to God some how some way they start treating these inmates a hell of a lot better the majority of them do deserve this treatment this is just straight up wrong and I feel so F’en bad ……. I thank God I never had to serve time locked up and that I never will I rather just take my life than ever have to serve time locked up.

Creepiest thing I heard my 1st day in jail was my celly talk to someone through a door to another wing about ME. Is she pretty? Then my cellys answer. Her asking to see my paperwork. The FEW minutes I slept was with my shoes on. On the ready. 3 days later moved to what the guard refered to as the projects. A guard posted in the projects. Rows of beds. Me, still on the ready. Walking to the (projects) women saying."you can't put her in here". The color of my jumpsuit giving them information.
