  • I did my first 72-hour fast, and while it was not easy, it was very eye-opening. I tried to live my life as normally as I could. I kept up with my normal CrossFit training and continued to cook food for my family. I did learn a lot about myself and my eating habits. There were some unexpected results from what it felt like to fast for three days, but overall, it was definitely worth it!

I agree with the other comments. I started CrossFit 8 weeks ago having spent the last 20 years in a gym. I'm learning every session and your videos have become my 'go to' when I want to watch any exercise through and in particular practicing rig exercises and mobility too (mobility is something you certainly lack when you have been gyming for years). Please do keep up the good work, it's inspiring me and many others too.

I think I’ll try….I’ve been fasting 24 hours 1 day/week for the last couple of months and so far so good. Your video encouraged me to do so!
    Keep grinding Monroe 💪

I used to fast monthly just for good health & my experience is pretty different from yours. Of course, lifestyle & many other factors makes everyone’s experience different. First day was always the hardest- hunger pangs were intense and felt weak. Second day almost no hunger pangs & the mental clarity & awakeness & energy was always shockingly amazing to me. Then the couple of times that I’d fast for a third day(not often, I usually just did 2 days), I felt the same as day 2- mental clarity up & there & booming with energy & barely any hunger pangs. I also worked out everyday at home, this was covid era & I worked out pretty hard as a late 20s girl. I felt good in my workouts & lighter. Fasting definitely exercises your brain & teaches you discipline. I’d like to do a 2-3 day fast maybe every couple of months. Like you said, it’s an awesome way to cleanse out & reset your body & let your body eat up all the bad things that we knowingly & unknowingly consume all the time. I enjoyed your video! Oh and I started crossfit about 8 months ago & I love it & I appreciate all your reels of tips & advice for all the movements! Keep them up 😊

Thanks for sharing! That was interesting and insightful. Made me want to experience that first night at least.
I also find that the appetite created through strength training can feel like its too much, some days I think I am only eating or processing food, without a break, the whole wake time.

Wow dude, good effort! I think the fasting mimicking diet (5 days) is a much smoother ride. Day three is the worst, but then a switch flips and you get used to it.
