- The best thing about Japan's @big-one2ndchannel260's arcade is the amount of fighting games I got to enjoy playing while I was there! They hosted a Super Street Fighter II Turbo and I got to fight some of the strongest players in Turbo. I had a blast playing against them!

@@stevemeters3090 DSP. He got his moment of fame playing on a laggy port of SSF2T on console. Dude went on to become a meme because he has no fighting game knowledge or skill and using scrub quotes. A more tame LTG.
I really miss that Green Hand of Zangief, wondering how things would change in SFVI, the only thing I'm sure of is that whoever was in charge of SFV really had something against Zangief.
That "buffer crouch light kick into super" from fei long was actually disgusting.

Oh dear god there is nothing like the arcade experience.
@Damsen What really killed arcades was when consoles got powerful enough to run games. When SFA3 was on PS1 I saw a dramatic drop off in people coming to the arcade. Ditto for MvC2 on DC. Might not be the only thing that killed the arcades off, but it sure contributed to it.

I would definitely say that online gaming (in addition to a rapidly changing economic climate) was what put the proverbial, "final nails in the coffin" for arcades. But, and this is justdbhh+y
Gas prices had risen steadily through the years, and the true arcades, as well as seemingly every corner store/laundromat having like 3-4 cabinets, started to disappear. People just didn't have the spare change, NOR even the time anymore to stand at a cabinet and "play vidjee games".
Then, as I stated before, the internet and online gaming, in addition to the fact that home consoles finally surpassed what could be done in the arcade (graphics-wise, story, budget, etc etc) and it was all a perfect storm to tank the arcade industry.
There are still plenty of arcades around today, and the wisest and most successful of them have tied in the arcade experience with some sort of gimmick (most commonly "barcades", basically a pub w/ an arcade inside haha).
Justin is the only guy I know who complains about grapplers as a zoner main

It's amazing how much play skill it takes for a regular character to even stand a chance against old Sagat.

I guess it's no coincidence that I love watching Sagat vs Fei-Long matches considering they're my two favorite SF characters, seeing a good Fei-Long in Super Turbo is cool af.

Coulda sworn Koimon was the dude that brought Fei back to relevancy as he was seen as bottom tier for eons.
@@JayJayYUP I'm pretty sure Fei Long is still bottom tier, at most low tier, perhaps not THE worst, as there's Cammy and Blanka, but very much low tier at most, he can still blow you up though, easily the most fun character to play as in the game imo.

Its half circle forward up kick (dubbed Chicken Wing in the community) and it does hella damage if you link off it

Just a curious question, I'm wondering why you no longer play any 3D fighting games like Tekken or Virtua Fighter. I remember back in the day, you used to play Tekken 5 a lot, and you actually got 4th place at Evo in 2006! So, what made you decide to quit Tekken, or do you still play?
