You can actually get the wire out, just need to use it a bit more force to slowly slide it out. Opening it is fine, there’s no void if removed sticker, and you should be able to open it, as you’ll need to add foam to the board to get rid of the hollow sound. Epomaker need to start offering screwed on stabs soon…
It’s more of a preference thing. When the LED is north facing, the switch goes into the board in a way that causes interference with cherry profile keycaps. So its common in the keyboard enthusiast community to prefer south facing. 3ildcat has a nice video showing comparisons if you’re curious
I'm very much considering this keyboard, have it backed atm, but just want to check as it's "Optimised for Mac OS", and I only use Windows, do all the media/volume and secondary function keys work on Windows? And can you switch out the keycaps to their windows counterparts? Just want to find this out as it's the only thing I'm not sure about that may swing my decision as I really need at least the volume functions on the keyboard for windows.
I haven’t taken a look at the stabs on the GK61 but I am fairly certain they are plate mount. I recommend Durock plate mount stabs to replace them with and make sure to lube them! Great tutorial out there from Taeha Types if you need it
Very honored to have my desk mat in your video
And I’m honored to have you comment on my video haha

I wonder how clicky switches sound under the silicone key caps.
I like the chocolate brown switch options and my favorite dessert is Strawberry Rhubarb Pie or a boozey bread pudding
More cute desk mats!!
What is the difference between the 84S and the AK84S?
The silicon key caps are an extra 65 dollars
Do you happen to know the polling rate of the keyboard?
such a great review!! Thanks
Hi The Portly Gamer, When will you review the Kemove Snowfox/Shadow 61?
S stands for Super btw
Can you make a video opening the keeb to see the internal components?
Now it is called Epomaker SK96s for panda
hey, is the keyboard n-key rollover?
What does it mean when the LED is north facing? Is that worse?

Yup, media controls work just fine for windows and you can switch out keycaps to the included windows keycaps.
@@Portly awesome, cheers for that. Hoping it'll live up to expectations!
love your channel!!
Awesome video 👏👍, and i have a question, I’m looking to change my gk61 stabs, any good suggestions?

can you make a video on how to lube the stabilizers for this keyboard? i’m a beginner 😖
I’m actually terrible at lubing my stabilizers but look up the newer tutorial from Taeha Types. He’s a pro at it and who I learned from.
Is this fully hot swappable as I got some gazzew boba ut4 would this work in this?
Yup! Those would work fine
