I do think one key detail that's sadly missed out is that often this keyboard either goes on sale or is just sold cheap really easily (I can get one rn for around $43). It really changes the financial dynamic of the aula alot. For example on that same market the RK M75 is $63 and rainy75 is $94. The difference in those prices is big enough that alot of people on poorer countries are gonna make that "sacrifice" and still be happy with it.
good job on flipping those feet, hipyo! feet havent been flipped as well as you did! 👍 since it had a shinethrough keycap option, you should have already expected it to be northfacing LEDs. but like you said, northfacing isnt such a big problem nowadays.
I agree that the RK M75 (and the Yunzii B75) feel slightly better than the Aula F75. However, they also cost more. There is a market for people who want to use a keyboard stock without investing more money to swap out keycaps, foam, switches, etc. This is where the Aula F75 shines - just plug it in and type. I also have both the Reaper and TTC Crescent switch versions. For $69 and no significant modding required these are really hard to beat.
What? 69 dollar? So pricey. It only 57 usd for ice vein on my country. And i still think that was pricey because i can get the leobog reaper switch for 46 Usd.
So the reason that I chose the f75 over other budget options is because I'm new to the hobby and wanted to start at a solid affordable baseline. Because the board was so affordable, I was able to experiment with different switches and caps. Now when I do choose to upgrade, I'll have more knowledge of the hobby and a really solid board in the meantime.
I got the Aula 75 keyboard before watching this video. And compared to my other mechanical boards I love this one. I don't need metal casing. I don't need software either. Mine has the Greywood switches and their linear and feel fantastic for a person that prefers tactile. And yes, the knob isn't that great. But I'm good for now.
Thank you for the review. I bought the Aula F75, and I really like it. It has great sound right out of the box, and there's no need to make any modifications.
Think it's true that the F75 is probably the best out-of-the-box experience you can get for roughly $60, but there are other superior aluminum 75% options (Leobog Hi75 barebones, Monsgeek M1 V3 barebones, and Womier SK71/Yunzii AL71 prebuilts) for an extra $15-30 that are essentially a tier up in quality. It's not a bad board, but the market is super competitive right now.
I had Zero idea that keyboard professionals existed. Like taking apart keyboards, modding them, etc. Ive never really heard of that. But I really like the Aula F75 and I think it sounds better than the one you compared it to. I really dont mind that its difficult to get open, Im not a keybaord enthusiast and this keyboard marks off everything on my list. Im getting the "Emerald" color which has light blue, beige, and green key caps. Also Im pairing it with the Darmoshark M3 mouse which Im not sure was a good decision or not but it matches the keyboard and had a good design which is honestly all I care about.
I have both the Aula 75 (Ice Vein) and the Royal Kludge, definitely prefer the Aula for both typing and gaming. The fact it's $20-40 cheaper is icing on the cake.
Just got mine that I bought on Prime Day for £64 with the Ice Vein switches, and it is MILES better than my Keychron V1 I had been using - the stabs on it were just awful whereas the Aula F75 is genuinely amazing for the price. Highly recommend this keyboard!
So I randomly decided to get into custom keyboards (after getting a full time job and realizing my work keyboard sucks so much), and after a bunch of searching, I've decided to start with an RK M75! I go the green one too, it's just so cute!
I've been using the AULA F75 for a couple of months now and sure, the software isn't great, it's made out of plastic, and it's barely modifiable. However, depending on where you live, something similar like the Keychron V1 Max costs around $180 or the Keychron Q1 Max $480. So considering I paid $55, it's a steal for what it delivers.
i've own the royal kludge r75 in the past but it bricked like in 2 weeks, so i had to find another keyboard, that's when i got the epomaker th80pro but it got bricked too... it lasted almost a year but again, i had to get another keyboard, which is the aula 75 and i couldn't be more happy, it looks good, sound good and IMO, it feels as good as royal kludge r75. that one had better rgb tho but im pretty satisfied with this aula 75. and at least it hasn't bricked yet lol
I think you hit the nail on the head with the people already own it! This board was actually released almost a year ago, maybe more than a year ago. I did a written review in March when Epomaker did their branded version of it and for the price it's one of the best if not the best plastic keyboard I have used. However since then we have had a number of fully AL keyboards for almost the same price or only slightly more. The number of TikToc videos on this board is insane in recent months though and the Aula branded version is often on sale on Amazon as well which I think is driving sales. But at least price to performance this is a good board unlike the number of people buying those $200 Highground boards that aren't any better IMHO than some on amazon for $40.
15 years ago I paid $200 to import a basic cherry brown keyboard. Today I'm typing on the Nuphy Air75v2 with buttery smooth low profile hot swappable switches, 220 hours of battery life, bluetooth+2.4ghz (yes I am using this on my Steamdeck and desktop PC simultaneously), and it only cost $120.
@@asliaffan The ak820 pro has a better response time. And 5ms isn't much but you can actually feel it if you're peeking an awper. It's especially noticeable if you want to peek an awper at window from mid on mirage on t-side. A well timed counter strafe can save your life and net you a kill.
@@NyangisKhanlatency isn't a breaking point of buying a keyboard, it rl depends on switches. Unlike with the mice we can calculate based on the click sound, it would be nearly impossible to calculate latency of a linear switches keyboard
I've had the Rk M75 since january and am super happy with it. The only gripe I have is the keycaps don't mesh well with the not so bright RGB and in a dark room you can't see the keys very clearly, so I upgraded the kaycaps to shine-through ones and it's made it a lot better. I have the silver switches. I also got it 15% off on Amazon, so roughly £85 for me in the UK.
But... based on your sound test the AULA F75 sounds considerably better than the Royal Kludge M75. I had looked at reviews for that keyboard a while back and eventually the fact that it did not have an aluminum case and that I didn't like the sound profile were deal breakers for me. FYI have not purchased an AULA F75, I actually purchased the Rainy 75 recently. And I'm super happy with the Rainy 75, it has all the features I wanted even though I could have gotten 2 AULA F75 keyboards for the same price if I purchased everything on Amazon. But I still feel it was money well spent, because I'm not collecting keyboards like you, Hipyo. Er, I mean, I'm not collecting quite as many keyboards as you are, Hipyo.
@@shalababa8393 I also have both. In all honesty, I prefer the sound profile of the F75 and the convenience of a knob. I use the Rainy75 mainly because 1) I spent more money on it and 2) its aluminum and feels weighty when typing on it. Also the F75 spacebar and stabilizers are insane!!! I'd say 5x better than the Rainy75, no joke.
I already own this as well and at the time it came out I would say damn amazing for the sound! I'd say since it was my first Keyboard its what got me started to the hobby. I get it as well and agree that now there would be better choices for the price for sure, after the wave of all these Aluminum budget keyboards there is just so much to choose from. but i would say it was an amazing starting point (when it was released). And now they have the M75!! just got one! and boi oh boi i love it. its like they made their F75 aluminum. i don't think its heavily marketed yet but hopeful to see you review it. appreciate all your videos!
This is completely subjective but the Aula F75 sounds way better then what you pulled out (THOCKY AF) and is pretty much a big reason why most people bought this, including myself xD, plus the price for what you get is super worth it! Great review btw!
Honestly, I got this keyboard about a month ago. I swapped from a regular (yet expensive) gaming keyboard. About twice the price. For someone that wants a prebuilt keyboard I believe they nailed it here with the sound and feeling of the keyboard. The only flaws I would say are the fact that I had to swap the keyboard into Windows mode ( it came in Mac mode ) by pressing FN + W and hold for 3 seconds. And the LED indicator for the battery charging showing up even though I stopped it (FN+SHIFT). And I have to do it a couple more times throughout the day. But besides that I think this keyboard is extremely good for a consumer who just wants something that's plug and play. ( and I'm not considering the price, which is also insanely good ! ) For people who mod their keyboards.... I see the reasons why not to get it. Even though I've seen people who mod and they said this was the endgame without modding the keyboard themselves.
Is there a difference between a EPOMAKER x AULA and a normal AULA branded keyboard of the same model name/number? Would also like to see a review of the AULA F87, F99, and F98 Pro.
Did you preorder, Kickstarter, or something like that, or did you order it and receive it recently? Because I just ordered one and wondering if I’ll actually get it soon, because I ordered it from wobkey and not Amazon or something else
I have tried and own different keyboards and Aula 75 is a sweet spot, not too expensive and not too cheap but the quality it delivers is pretty decent, also sound good. The only thing I hate about it is no Via Support. :) Well I got mine for around $ 43 USD before and it was a blind buy as there were literally almost no reviews on it yet. Didn't disappoint.
This keyboard is annoying popular here in Brazil, i'm not much into white/colorful keyboards, but I was considering to buy one of those... Now I now that I don`t need to, thanks hipyo
Thank you for making this video, Hipyo! Appreciate it! I was on a tight ass budget - and - HATED my old Logiteck G512... I knew you would notice all the keyboards flaws - thankfully for me - I wanted one to use out the box!
I want to try the gateron milky yellow pros too! Can you upload a video showing the sound difference between stock switches and gaterons? I got mine with the ice veins ones.
This is the first mechanical 'custom' 'enthusiast' keyboard I've bought (the parts of my first "build" kb is still shipping). I love how it sounds (stock) so I'm a little scared of what Hipyo's verdict is going to be, if I made a bad choice or not!
i just bought this last week and i love it first 75% keyboard ive used though and im used to 60%s and getting used to the esc key higher is kinda difficult to understand
Don't worry about Hipyo's verdict. Think of this video as just entertainment. All that matters is how your keyboard makes you feel. If you love typing on it and are pleased with the aesthetic, then you made the right choice.
People that bought this keyboard and love it wanted you to review it so the word gets out and helps other people who are looking to buy a keyboard. I agree with you on the RK M75. I have it, and it is awesome. I love the silver switches on it.
I am using this one with ice vein switch it sounds great and feels great. I don't need to open the board why it sounds so good . ND75 has also flex cut pcb but you didn't mention about thiner sound . It is not necessary for a keyboard to have a aluminium frame as long as you are not opening the borad frequently for experiments.
ND75 doesn't have a thinner sound. At least mine doesn't. Thinner compared to F75? Maybe slightly. But still pretty deep. Mainly because it's aluminum.
I bought the Aula F85 pro for 45 USD. Also there is a important factor to keep in mind when importing stuff in Brazil. If the product plus shipping exceeds 50 USD you pay almost the double in importing fees. Them a keyboard that would be a little bit expensive, would turn in a keyboard that is insanely expensive. Aula is one of the few keyboards that has all these features under 50 USD.
I bought this keyboard for about $34.60 here in the ph. (due to a shop voucher+ Online platform discount here in Ph). I can definitely say that it's worth for the price lol.
The thing about the F75 is that it is a lot more expensive in the west, I live in a country where I can easily get access to TaoBao stuff and I can purchase the board directly from Aula, the F75 costed me around $31.5 and for that price this keyboard is insane
I'm fine with the cons you listed, not having screws and the flex cut aren't a huge deal for me. $70 and $60 on sale proves to be one of the best products I have ever bought.
The Aula F99 is actually good out of the box. Currently using it as a work keyboard because of numpad. Basically similar with the F75. Agree with the stabs being pretty good without modding it. The switches I chose were a bit louder than other linears I have, but depends on your reference. The software sucks really, nothing much to do. In 2024, better get a board with a VIA support. There are lot of budget boards with VIA json file available. Cidoo/Finalkey for example. I have their V65, V75 Plus and ABM066. And those three were really really great.
Well you comparted RK M75 which is one step more pricy then aula. RK R75 is the competition to F75, which is basically a copycat of it. I like Aula on ice veins for my 50$
As a guy who is only looking through this keyboard review to replace my current malfunctioning keyboard, I am not sure why anyone would care about modding or anything hardware related but software support does seem like an issue I do want good support for the various rgb and macro support that is offered, this was the most watchable review I have seen others use too much jargon I do not care about, the fuck does north facing even mean 🤣
Used to own a RK M75 and I vouch for it 100%. I moved on to the Nuphy Halo 75 v2, and I love that keyboard as well. But the magical thing about the M75 is that it feels so unbelievably exquisite to type on, perhaps even better than the 75 v2. It's crazy for me to think that, especially considering I moved on from it, but typing on the M75 was so pleasant that it set a high standard for me. The downside to the M75 is that it's not easy to mod (although it can be done), the case is a soft kind of plastic that damages easily if you bang it against anything or drop it, and the screen isn't very engaging. As a keyboard, it's a functional treat, but it's not exactly an exciting one. I prefer a board that's more creatively stimulating while also being a treat to type on, and Nuphy made that possible for me, so I'm happy with what I have now. I did give my M75 to someone who needed a new board and they absolutely love it. At the end of the day, loving your keyboard is simply a matter of taste.
I'm typing on the epomaker Ajazz AK820 Pro right now at Panera, despite the fact they no longer sell the energy drink that will kill you (I'll have to kill myself from their gluten orange scones instead). It's my go-to 'toss in a backpack' portable Mechanical keyboard. The little screen allows you to upload pictures or even animated gifs, although it takes a while to get use to the software to do so (dimensions of gifs have to be under 250 px). I have the clear Akko V3 Crystal Pro switches and some Milky Frosted Fog Transparent Keycaps as the RGB on this keyboard is pretty impressive. It's a fun keyboard although I have a Keychron with some silent Redragon Stars A120 Silent Tactile switches for my "serious, adult" work keyboard.

So I randomly decided to get into custom keyboards (after getting a full time job and realizing my work keyboard sucks so much), and after a bunch of searching, I've decided to start with an RK M75! I go the green one too, it's just so cute!
Ive got the Royal Kludge M75 and I have to agree that it is an absolutely SLEEPER keyboard. Its fantastic and I see nowhere enough praise for it.
i have it too and its really good
I've been using the AULA F75 for a couple of months now and sure, the software isn't great, it's made out of plastic, and it's barely modifiable. However, depending on where you live, something similar like the Keychron V1 Max costs around $180 or the Keychron Q1 Max $480. So considering I paid $55, it's a steal for what it delivers.
Is keychron q max has better rgb than aula f75?
i've own the royal kludge r75 in the past but it bricked like in 2 weeks, so i had to find another keyboard, that's when i got the epomaker th80pro but it got bricked too... it lasted almost a year but again, i had to get another keyboard, which is the aula 75 and i couldn't be more happy, it looks good, sound good and IMO, it feels as good as royal kludge r75. that one had better rgb tho but im pretty satisfied with this aula 75. and at least it hasn't bricked yet lol
You should definitely check out the SURMEN M75. It's just as great and super affordable!
Just bought these a few days ago, and I love it. I don't like the software, but the keyboard itself is good.
imagine finding one of the best budget keyboards hanging around in your room and you didn't even know about it
please review the ajazz ak820 pro at some point 🙏🙏 i’ve heard so many good things about it and getting your opinion would be awesome
this is better than the ajazz, according to most of the reviews ive seen
@@asliaffan The ak820 pro has a better response time. And 5ms isn't much but you can actually feel it if you're peeking an awper. It's especially noticeable if you want to peek an awper at window from mid on mirage on t-side. A well timed counter strafe can save your life and net you a kill.
Differences I see between ak820 pro and aula f75
South vs north rgb
Screen vs no screen
Colours Vs colours
Thick vs slightly different thock
@@NyangisKhanlatency isn't a breaking point of buying a keyboard, it rl depends on switches. Unlike with the mice we can calculate based on the click sound, it would be nearly impossible to calculate latency of a linear switches keyboard
@@danielheaven It is a breaking point if you're an FPS gamer and both keyboards are cheap af.
The aula f75 is a perfect beginners keyboard to get into customs. I loved it and had it over a couple months
4:22 POV: 6yr old kid in school when he gets something that looks cool💀
"I was skeptical at first" You were definitely told to say that by shopify lmaooo
My one just arrived a few hours ago kinda perfect timing with ur upload thanks for the review!
But... based on your sound test the AULA F75 sounds considerably better than the Royal Kludge M75.
I got both. Both are GREAT buy at their price range. F75 is more light like only 1KG and easy to move on a desk
Got both RKm75 and The Epo x aula75. Both are equally fantastic for the price.
And now they have the M75!! just got one! and boi oh boi i love it. its like they made their F75 aluminum. i don't think its heavily marketed yet but hopeful to see you review it. appreciate all your videos!
can you do a video where you compare all of the budget keyboards like you’ve done so far and show what are the best for different preferences
( and I'm not considering the price, which is also insanely good ! )
For people who mod their keyboards.... I see the reasons why not to get it. Even though I've seen people who mod and they said this was the endgame without modding the keyboard themselves.
The M75 and f75 sound is not even close.
Edit: my opinion.
Is there a difference between a EPOMAKER x AULA and a normal AULA branded keyboard of the same model name/number?
Would also like to see a review of the AULA F87, F99, and F98 Pro.
9:30 - Yeah, they need that validation, da- oop.
Gotta think about the children!!
M75 I a great board too. Especially at $80 on sale, which it is a lot.
I just got the rainy 75 and super happy with it thx for your review!
Did you preorder, Kickstarter, or something like that, or did you order it and receive it recently? Because I just ordered one and wondering if I’ll actually get it soon, because I ordered it from wobkey and not Amazon or something else
for over 5 years of planning of buying my first ever keyboard, I'm really happy, also bought it almost 30% less 7.7 Sale
i hope it’s good, i’ve been seeing it everywhere
I have tried and own different keyboards and Aula 75 is a sweet spot, not too expensive and not too cheap but the quality it delivers is pretty decent, also sound good. The only thing I hate about it is no Via Support. :) Well I got mine for around $ 43 USD before and it was a blind buy as there were literally almost no reviews on it yet. Didn't disappoint.
whats better keyboards and their prices?
good job on flipping those feet hipyo
Hey @Hipyo Tech Can you try the epomaker Ajazz AK 820 Pro.
Aula sounds noticeably better lol
This keyboard is annoying popular here in Brazil, i'm not much into white/colorful keyboards, but I was considering to buy one of those... Now I now that I don`t need to, thanks hipyo
Wow!! That sounds AMAZEBALLS
Lets gooooooo finally man THx bro keep it up ❤❤❤
Thank you for making this video, Hipyo! Appreciate it! I was on a tight ass budget - and - HATED my old Logiteck G512... I knew you would notice all the keyboards flaws - thankfully for me - I wanted one to use out the box!
Was happy to have hot-swappable - Gateron Milky Yellow pro is beautiful on this board...
I want to try the gateron milky yellow pros too! Can you upload a video showing the sound difference between stock switches and gaterons? I got mine with the ice veins ones.
"I got this for free, but am not sponsored" xD. But you are always honest. So that is nice!
Good job on flipping those feet, Hipyo!
Ik this is twchnically budget, but $70 feels like a lot of money to not even get a num pad
try phantom tecware 87+ its 50usd on discount(55 regular)
This is the first mechanical 'custom' 'enthusiast' keyboard I've bought (the parts of my first "build" kb is still shipping). I love how it sounds (stock) so I'm a little scared of what Hipyo's verdict is going to be, if I made a bad choice or not!
i just bought this last week and i love it
first 75% keyboard ive used though and im used to 60%s and getting used to the esc key higher is kinda difficult to understand
Keyboard sound really depend on personal preference.. if you like it then you didn't make bad choice
@@AyooGVYou could see if theres an option to remap it in the software, swap esc with ~ and swap the keycaps too
Don't worry about Hipyo's verdict.
No, they are surely just coping trying to justify a purchase (sarcasm
I have an F99, FR4, reaper sw, with MOA keycaps and I love it !!!
**I can finally rest… after 4 months…**
please try the Aula F75 next
Never thought you'd mention RK M75, that is my budget keyboard and I love it,
I am using this one with ice vein switch it sounds great and feels great.
Mainly because it's aluminum.
try the ajazz ak820 next
He's not going to like it
A key important unique attribute for this board is touted low latency 1000hz polling which also brings with it the possibility of stable latency too.
8:56 no, it dint, thats because im already subscribed
Good job on flipping those feet hippio
The thing about the F75 is that it is a lot more expensive in the west, I live in a country where I can easily get access to TaoBao stuff and I can purchase the board directly from Aula, the F75 costed me around $31.5 and for that price this keyboard is insane
watching this video as i bought it yesterday and i’m waiting for it to come tomorrow. i got the ice vein switches
verdict: fkn amazing
The more i watch these custom keyboard videos the more satisfied i get with my overprized K70 MAX ;)
I got the Aula F75 for half the price you mentioned in the video!!! $35 USD!!! Same exact board in the video btw.
I was waiting for you to make a video about this keyboard but I just bought the Ajazz AK-820 and it’s coming soon, so oh well.
BEGGING FOR IT WORKED🗣🗣🗣
Thanks for making this video hipyo
so many have commented on the ajazz ak820 pro and some on the newer max version. is there a video on this? im new to the keyboard scene
Yup, I have the AK820 pro. Love it! Not everyone is an enthusiast.
Currently I use the Keychron V1 knob and I think for like $10 more it’s way better
Bro you had to get them with greywood v3 or flame purple switches
i love the sound of F75 though than RK M75
Hipyo Ives with the “unapologetically plastic” 😂
"Good job on flipping those feet Hipyo!"
Aula f75 doesn't have a screen bro
Some people have skeletons in their closet. Hippy got 200 keyboards.
