Thanks for the tips. Three things I'd add to this:
    1. Perform a balance calibration when you're finished. Hold down "Temp" and "Delay End" buttons simultaneously for a few seconds and when it reads "cal", press start. It takes about 2 minutes to run through.
    2. I pushed the right rear rod down the right side at an angle so I could weave the hose around it (from the top end) as I brought it up into position. Fighting it around the spring didn't leave enough room to do it without potentially damaging the hose.
    3. Use a headlamp or a helper for the back right. If you drop your flashlight, you'll need monkey arms to reach it. I can't play basketball to save my life, but I can reach high shelves and to the bottom of washing machines (barely).

We replaced ours and it still says off balance no matter what we wash. Today I wash a baseball uniform. Pants, shirt and pair socks and wouldn’t spin because it says unbalanced. What else could it be?

@@mistyharper9722 Mine is not 100% either. It's not as bad as before I changed the shocks, but it certainly has to be very well evenly dispersed before there's no issues. It's almost like loads too small cause more of an issue. The other thing that I found that was causing an issue was a code that came up 4C. It turned out that the drain hose was too far down the wall, not allowing enough air to vent and the machine reads it as a clog. These seem to be quite temperamental.
I'm going to tear mine completely apart and figure it out. Unfortunately, it won't be for about 3 more months. I'm working out of town right now and I"m only home for a few waking hours on the weekend. My project will wrap up in Sept and I always get a couple of free months to recoup from the stressors of managing an out of town/night work construction project. So, sorry I can't get you a my findings sooner. Quality time with my wife is priority and I don't want to wake her on the weekends by me banging away with tools on a stupid washing machine. (It will involve copious amounts of tool throwing, bourbon, and profanity)

Thank you so much! I’m an old lady and I was still able to do this pretty easily. The suspension rods were indeed the problem. Only thing I did differently was that I used a really big flat head screwdriver to pull the rods out at the top. I’m not strong enough to do it as you did.
May God bless you for making this video to save people like me some money. Other videos were SO much more complicated.
Question - I didn’t wrap the hose back around the right back corner rod. Why was that done? To avoid the hose kinking?
    Thank you again.

Highly recommend this video. It is by far the most helpful and easiest way to fix this suspension/balance issue on your washer. I was able to follow video and fixed my washer by taking off a total of 7 screws. One thing to note, be extra careful with the lid door as the plastic hinges are incredibly brittle and will break off from top plastic frame it is attached to. Mine did but i was still able to use once the rear console display was put back on with the screws. I now added a WARNING note on the glass lid for my wife and kids to be extra careful opening lid. I really hate Samsung appliances! They look nice but Samsung uses cheap materials and their products don't last even a reasonable amount of time. I say this because I have had brittle plastic issues with two other Samsung fridges. This washer is only 2.5 years old and it required repair work already with just normal home use. Ridiculous!!!

Thank you for this great video! I caught the “screwdrivers” as well and I love the fact that you were such a good sport about it when it was brought up instead of getting angry. On a tight budget, so I went with Amazon (Tomoon) rods that were highly rated with a lot of positive comments about how they are thicker and stouter than the factory rods. Just installed them, calibrated the machine and spun a huge load of wet towels with no problems. I didn’t cut my arms or hands, either! 🙌🏼 I did wear rubber gloves to take the old, nasty, sticky rods out and lubed the new rods with white lithium. Thanks again!

Obviously it needs to spin, but it should not have any motion other than spinning . Also check you model number and make sure you installed the suspension that goes with your specific model

    • @gened9632

The springs just weaken. You'll start getting a ub (unbalanced) code on almost every wash. If you watch videos to diagnose, people will push down and it will bounce back like a 94 Civic with broken shocks. Mine wasn't nearly that noticeable. It just rocked to the sides like it was floating. It's just a rod with retaining cups on the top and springs with an inverse retaining cup on the bottom. The tub just floats on them.

The feet are adjustable to help level the machine. Check to make sure the inner tub is secured to the outer tub. If you place one hand on the outer tub and the other on the metal in er tub you should not be able to wiggle the inner tub inside the outer. It should only spin. Thanks for the video, but I have a couple suggestions that should make it easier for beginners like myself.
    1. Mention that the metal on the inside is EXTREMELY sharp. I cut myself on the forearm which required six stitches.
    2. Take an existing rod out and measure it before you order. I have the exact same model that is used in your video. I used the link in the description to order the rods. I verified that the model number was listed in the description on the Amazon ordering page. The rods that came were just over 26", while the existing rods are 27".
    3. Instead of trying to use one hand to disconnect the tension cables (this is where I cut my arm), remove the pack panel of the washing machine. This is done by removing the four screws on the back. This opens up the back of the machine allowing greater access to the suspension cables.
    4. Be really careful while the lid is being propped up. If it slips, like it did on me one runs the risk of disconnecting some existing cables. This happened to me and cut the grounding wires (green, green/yellow wire) on the rear left side.
    5. Like someone mentioned before, do a re-calibration before using.
I'm bringing these issue up so others don't make the same mistakes that happened to me. I have replaced the rods and the washing machine works like new. Thanks again for the video.

Some times the inner and outer tub become separated due to corrosion or a loose tub nut. In some samsung there is also a balance in the tub ring . These three problems can also cause the issue. The inner, metal tub should only spin inside the outer tub. It should not move independently in any other way

So far no problems (after about a week and a couple loads a day). 😎
