I am always amazed how much hard work goes into authentic Mexican dishes. This looks beautiful and delicious.

Salty, when grinding strong spices like cinnamon and cloves, do you use a separate molcajete than one you use for salsas? If the same one, do you do anything thing special to clean the molcajete to avoid those lingering oils from getting in your salsas?
Yes I do! I use a brush and water to clean it

Is it always a cold dish? I tried in a restaurant in Mexico and it came cold. I guess it would be even better if it was hot.
It's supposed to be eaten at room temperature. That is the custom.
