Job well done! I usually cover the drainage holes with used fabric softener sheets which allow water to pass through but don’t break down. You had a real eye for a bargain at Walmart.
Love it. I’m a rustic and concrete person but on these, the black topcoat gave it a super glam look. You could always get the white specks back or add the Home Depot red color in the cracks. Never thought I could love a plastic spot, but you made me a believer.
I came here looking for something else on how to complete a job I was doing, I then ran into this channel, next thing i know I was putting down my tools and ends up watching your work from beginning to end , it looks great , well done 👍 love your work. Eres Tan Hermosa y profesional.
WOW 🤯 I'm out the door & to the store‼️Got me some Pots to Paint‼️ Your tutorial was awesome & I loved the tip on mesh over the drainage holes... Never heard that before 💖
I love the look of stone and the clear top coat would have probably worked best. The texture paint looks awesome. You did a great job!!! The effect looks very pretty and exactly what I was thinking to do. Thanks
Stumbled across your video and just had to say, this is BEAUTIFUL! I can't believe how great that looked, you must be so pleased! Thank you for the inspiration 😍
I did this just yesterday and spray pained my old plainters a light steely blue. Like a stone blue. And then used 3 different textrure paints on it. Black, gray, and tan. Didn't seem to have too much of a difference between them. But they came out really nice.
Thanks. I have 2 older, rounder urn-ish shaped plastic pots I'm looking to redo, preferably make em look like stone planters. I think the main reason the bottom can come apart ( is made that way) is for stability when moving them. I have moved like 4 times 😁 with mine, and the times I left the soil in them, they definitely needed to be off of the bases to be more stable when on the road, and also, for mine, the bases get bent or wrecked easier if I don't take that step, as well. Now I have one that's permanently leaning... .
I too have been looking at those planters for a minute for my front porch. I may have to break down and pay that price at HD minus my military discount. I've not been able to find them discounted anywhere. You've got a lot of knowledge on so many levels. Bravo Zulu!
haha my first video and im hooked already. Gurl that is exactly what i was looking for. you did that! Glad i found ya channel. now i have a lot of videos to watch that i like!
Awesome tutorial. Thank you so much for posting this. Can’t wait to get mine started. Plus, you are absolutely gorgeous. Brains and Beauty. Double threat kinda girl. Love it.
@Ms. Kim good spray paint it like 6-10 dollars a can.... plus them planters can be 15 or more a piece. When not on sale. So I wanna know if its worth making it or just buying a 44 dollar one.
They have held up great! I do have to touch up just the lip of one of them from where a vining plant grew hanging over the side but other than that they still look fabulous! Definitely worth it😉💚💚
I just came across your Channel can you explain things very well thank you for sharing and can't wait to see what you have to do next I love this tutorial see you in the next video
Thanks. I am planning to follow your DIY Faux Stone instructions. Since the resin planters will be for outdoor use what will weather-proof my finished planter? Don’t want it to wash off in the rain.
I too have a similar planter to redo since the black paint is peeling over the years. I have also painted flowers over it .I ham scraping the old layer by wetting it and then using a 0 number paper to rub off the black paint.I am petrified as to how will I spray paint the planter at home .hope I don’t ruin my yard. Wish I could share my work too . Hey thx for ur ideas too
I like how your planters turned out and would like to do something similar to mine. How are they holding up to your weather ? I live in Colorado so I need them to hold up to the rain showers.
Thanks! They have held up amazing they still look the same as they did 2yrs ago when I first painted them! I do store them in my garage throughout the winters but the protective coat has held up wonderfully to all our heavy rain downpours 😉💕💚
🌿💗 I’m so tempted. I’m saving for a huge concrete planter for a long term commitment in my flowerbed. The pots run $279 and up. I want to plant a blue evergreen. My dreams for this season are fading. (Plus the concrete is soooo heavy....not sure what to do...)
Great job! Your pots look really good, I'd never have know they weren't stone! I love a good diy and to save money, too!!! By the way, not trying to be weird or anything, but you have the prettiest legs! Hope your pots have held up well!
That looks great, really stoney texture! That rustoleum paint is quite pricey here in the UK (bout $20) but i'm sure i'll find something. Thanks for sharing :)
The UK has B&Q though? If you look at their website it's far cheaper to buy on their website or click and collect than in store. I bought the mirror effect for £6 click and collect vs the £15 in store price
Hi i enjoyed your simple DIY planter. Ould love to try this one day. Question: for the protective enamel that you used, do they have a clear one so i can use it with any color paint?
Hope u all enjoyed this quick easy DIY tutorial! Leave me a comment to let me kno what u think! 💕
Oh my gosh! This is exactly the treatment I was looking for!!!!! Thanks!
Kreatyve Laydiiee your DIY is a success. You are definitely a resourceful woman.
Job well done! I usually cover the drainage holes with used fabric softener sheets which allow water to pass through but don’t break down. You had a real eye for a bargain at Walmart.
These planters are so cute. This gave me some ideas about sprucing up my planters inside the house.
I can’t get over how gigantic they are!! Thank you.....loved this video. 🥰

Great tip with covering the holes for bug security!!👍
Great video to watch before I started. I would not thought to prime my plastic planter. THANK YOU!
Beautiful results! Thank you for the demonstration.

Love the texture. They look awesome. Liked the flecks.
Just purchased two planters just like these and went by your instructions and mine turned out great. Thanks for the tutorial 👍
That's awesome!! I'd love to see them! 😁💕
Gorgeous. (although I was super anxious that you were spraying without a mask) 👏👏👏
Yes, gloves, mask, protective eye wear. I have started bathing my exposed skin in coconut oil before I start. Makes for easy clean up.
I just realized yr music pick is M.J. instrumental....FREAKING AWESOME!!! VERY COOL ADD ON!!!!!!
I am def a MJ FANATIC!!!💞💞💞
They look so nice !
Stumbled across your video and just had to say, this is BEAUTIFUL! I can't believe how great that looked, you must be so pleased! Thank you for the inspiration 😍
Thank you! This is exactly what I want to do because you are right those other planters are way too expensive. Good tutorial!
Looks great! I’ll be buying some texture paint soon! I sprayed clear on a red yard art bicycle that had a little rust, and the result was amazing! ❤️

I love this video, just what i've been looking for.
Great video! You have a very appealing voice for narration. Very rare that I'll say that for you tubers ...ha ha 😊
Oh wow thanks so much! Thats nice to hear bc I don't like the sound of my voice LoL 😆

My question is how much did everything cost? Cuz all that spray paint can get up there in price...

Turned out great! Thanks for the info.
They really look like stone . Awesome job. Thanks for sharing your tutorial. ❤️❤️
Thank u! 😀
Looks great and a great tutorial. Now that you have had them out for 2 years, how have they held up? Are you needing to repaint or touch up?
They have held up great! I do have to touch up just the lip of one of them from where a vining plant grew hanging over the side but other than that they still look fabulous! Definitely worth it😉💚💚
Greeting from NC (252/919)! Love to see other “melanated”plant lovers!
ExACTly what I was looking for and thank you about the mask reminder
You're welcome! Have fun😉💕
That looks great!
Wow!! That looks incredible!! I’m going to try this. Thank you for sharing ...
These came out beautiful! 😉🤗
Exactly what I was looking for! How large were your pots and how many cans of the stone paint did you use?
They came out amazing!!!!! 😍
You make me feel like I can do this! Wish you would have shown it planted.
I am sure it was beautiful. Peace and love
Thank u! I planted them up in a separate video here on my channel. And u can definitely do this it's super easy & they've held up perfectly! 😁
@@KreatyveGardenista Have a beautiful day!
Excellent job, thanks for the wonderful ideas
I just came across your Channel can you explain things very well thank you for sharing and can't wait to see what you have to do next I love this tutorial see you in the next video
Excellent paint job!
Beautiful job!!!
Buy a sprayer head comfort grip that fits over the top of the can. It saves many a sore finger. Also, wear rubber gloves and a mask.
GIRL YOU ARE GORGEOUS!! Keep it up
And I absolutely love making pots so this was great to come across
Thanks so much!🤗💕
Hey that looks fantastic, great job. It also answered my dilemma for a project I have. Thanks for sharing!
A lazy Susan would be perfect for this too! great video
Love this idea !
Goodness me didn't realize just how big the planter was until you stood next to it! Bargain!
Me didn't 😅
Thanks. I am planning to follow your DIY Faux Stone instructions. Since the resin planters will be for outdoor use what will weather-proof my finished planter? Don’t want it to wash off in the rain.
Hi there! Use the sealer I showed in the video 😉
Love this! Thanks for sharing. I was thinking about this type of look for a planter I have that needs freshening up

Looks great good job
Dope AF. YAS Queen!
Great job girl!
You can seal with a transparent spray, but yeah -- obviously, you would not use a black spray over the stone effect.
That was interesting. I think I’ll try it… thanx
It's the background music for me!!
🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Wow beautiful job. Greetings from LA
Thanks great idea. Might try
This looks great
It's beautiful
Awesome job! Thanks so much.
Nice look, thanks for sharing
Wow that looks wonderful! That stone paint is so good! Love your music choice!
Also pls where a mask in the future! I was so concerned
Thanks! I am a HUGE MJ fan so u'll probably be hearing a lot of him in my DIYs lol I always work listening to him! 😎
Please protect yourself wear a mask and gloves and eyewear your project came out very nice keep growing be blessed
You should try putting a medallion on before painting to give it a custom look.

DIY the container yourself! It’s easy! Pinterest looks you like, then UA-cam techniques. Easy peesy less than $50 with a little work. You got this! 💪🤙

Lol thanks! And yes I'm a HUGE MJ fan!!! I use his songs in all of my DIYs he keeps me going💕💕
Top coat should have been clear. I do this to all my pots.
Should be clear but also matte to stay with stone look!
Great job
You are AMAZING 😉
Thank you!!!
Yep clear
Good Job! 😍 Please check plants and water properly, black color pots can be very hot in sun... Love & peace 🙏💓💕🌍
Love it ...
Hi i enjoyed your simple DIY planter. Ould love to try this one day. Question: for the protective enamel that you used, do they have a clear one so i can use it with any color paint?
Yes it comes in clear also! 😉
Kreatyve Laydiiee thanks
Great vid! Use a clear top coat looks better.
Use a clear matte enamel and it would have still looked like stone
The rust oleum one is textured too
Very nice job
Has this held up in the weather? Xxx
