Hey that seems like a very constructive and not invasive trick.... I came across this video as I occasionally (note: not always) get heavy gimbal shake (sometimes with, sometimes without an "excessive vibration" warning) and that is absolutely useless for films for my Golf&Tesla channel (I use the drone mainly for my golf course reviews, views of Tesla superchargers from above, and occasional landscape footage). And I don't want to take the drone and camera/gimbal apart... . Your video is well made. I will try your trick as soon as possible

Mine is doing the same after sitting in a case for year. Powered on and watched the camera have a seizure I’m going to try this process tonight when I get home but I don’t have any gimbal response from controller. Could this be the ribbon cable or were any of y’all having same issue and flipping it sideways fixed the issue? I’ve already notified DJI and shipping it off tomorrow but if this is any easy fix of turning sideways than I’d much rather not be without it. Thank you for any help and advice I’m given
suddenly and my mavic have this problem but with this solution (in the side I have not tried yet the upside I am currently writing ...) it works properly, so in to day the afternoon in Greece I will be able i go to work with it and in time it will go for flexible ribbon replacement .... thank you

this is caused from the last two updates. My mavic was fine no issue and i did not update the last two but now it forces you to update so I did it and the second after update I get this bull crap. I have two and my other one is not updated and works fine but again it forced me to update and again the second after I get this over heat error. DJI NEEDS TO FIX THIS ISSUE!
I have problem with my mavic mini, i tell you this is a sand damage, you have in motors sand and this block movements in your gimbel motors, but really idk how to clean it, you can try open or use compressed air or hair dryer.

Easy fix ... it can be fixed in the software thru the editor... the gimbal is being told it is starting up in the wrong angle ... if ya haven’t figured it out yet ... good video!

Pretty sure I was sold a refurbished drone as new. I am finding small sand in the gimble area. I use a landing pad so not sure how I would get sand in there. It does not overload every time but what happens if it sticks in flight while following something?
Worked for me once. Turned it on sideway and the gimbal worked property until I took off then used camera tilt and it just started looking straight down. Next stop is the DJI store I think

mine did the same found out the gimal plate was catching so ou have to look caefuly at the gimbal plate that is sitting good and not catching or stuck on the L shaped hook

I had a HUGE fight with DJI on my UA-cam channel about this. there are SO many similar incidents but they keep saying it's not a problem. They eventually deleted their comments which annoys me. This problem happened FOUR DAYS after my six month warrantee expired on the flex cable - which is bullshit in itself.

Yoo same problem but even when I turn my drone on sideways and let it set up properly as soon as I take off it goes back to constantly trying to reset itself

I turned my upside down and it worked.... shut it down and tried it sitting correctly on ground and no go..... really upset.... no crashes or hard landings.....

You need replacing flex man there is some week point on it I see them lot replace flex and your Drone will be fine
