I love these real-time, unpolished video tutorials as they present the trials and tribulations of exploring the features of the drone's hardware and software. It is a million miles from the glamour shown in DJI's promotional videos, but it works hand-in-glove with them. It's exactly what I want to see!
Just got my Mavic 2 , 3 weeks ago , now absorbing hours of UA-cam postings, this is a great job buddy on vehicle Active Track ! Ty sir ... 🙏 (so new Sub 51.3K batch )
Great video, thank you so much. I actually like it in spotlight when you sped up and it is got behind you and sorta panned and showed more of where you where you were going...Cna't wait to try this tomorrow day 3 ...
Thank you so much for these videos,I've had my mavic for a few months now and haven't got into any of the special options mostly because I am clueless at what they do so thank you.And you explain things very well by the way. I was mostly impressed by the profile mode and how it was able to keep up filming the side of your truck while I'm assuming flying sideways,I was surprised it was able to keep up. Anyway thanks again and GREAT JOB.
Very good video Dylan - thanks!!! I ride motorcycle all over the world and am going to buy one of these DJI drones to make some great footage.... thanks for posting!!!
waiting to receive my mavic pro and trying to learn how to use it. your tutorials are very well done. learning from you will surely help. this is going to be exciting. thanks for your efforts
Nice job...! Very helpful. If I would have filmed that with my Mavic Pro the footage would have been glitchy, choppy, skipping frames, etc. (not sure why). Thanks for taking the time to put the video together. You earned my sub.
I love the video, Dylan. These are such great shots and it was really fun to watch. Especially where the cows walked up to you. I'm a city boy, so that really grabbed me. Your probably used to it being in the farming country, but just the whole area is so open and relaxed. I couldn't help but think how you don't have to "just" use areal shots in an all areal video. I've been shooting hand held ground video for years, before I got my first drone a few years ago. I finally bought a crane which raises up the camera for more of a low drone type shot, but your limited to the length of your crane. Now with drones, you not only get most of the crane type shots, but you can get this surround the subject thing, higher altitude, follow mode. Man, how can any serious shooter resist those shots. Heck you don't even have to be serious, you just have to have a drone and some practice. Of course you can still shoot an all areal shot video with a drone, but the beauty is you can also edit some areal shots in with your regular hand held shots too. With the amazing ability of software editing, you can put it all together any way you want, without breaking the bank. Marc.
Good video man You make good UA-cam video music, tutorials , and dual cams going at once while driving and maintaining focus Tough I appreciate the effort and fine job I must say
Nice... when you go up to 30 miles an hour in profile @6:30 mark. that shot actually looks amazing with the gimbal tilt... that'd be a very hard shot to do , without that.. . love this.. thanks.
Liked the video,..learning my Mavic Pro, I provide photo services to auto dealers. Getting more into video and drone shoots..want to learn all I can to help them present their inventory in the best light possible online.
Another great video from Dylan. His videos taught me how to fly my Mavic. 8-) One thought... I would be concerned that having the controller inside the metal car would limit the range pretty seriously at some angles. But this video proves it is feasible at pretty impressive distances.
I learned a lot on this video. thanks man. some of the stuff you did here is perfect for what I was trying to add to some of my youtube video's. I kinda suck at filming things but the drone shots look nice. definitely investing in one soon.
Hi Dylan, great video, as things change like the screens on the controllers, would you be able to find time to to an updated video as this one is about a year old now and the screens have changed. Thanks again, good job!!
thanks for taking the time and make this video Dylan! I'm going to try it out, have you tried it with tracking people, in a semi crowed area? Just got mine Mavic few days ago.
Good job Dylan, I’m watching different tutorials on drone flying of Maverick Pro and Phantom Pro and hope to find a used one for sale to learn with. I bought two knockoffs of the Maverick Pro and Phantom Pro years ago but they where not worth the money so this time I want the real deal but used in case I mess up and it free falls without a parachute 😂 The only think I wish you did in while driving was to make a turn down a road at 10mph in follow mode to see how well it could follow a sudden turn? But I guess that’s something I’ll find out on my own?
Yah, I can't wait to find a location to try this with my motor home! I'll have someone driving it, while I pilot the Mavic. Thanks for the tutorials! PS; that shot needs to be in your Best Ofs.
That is just so damn cool! I'm sitting here thinking where can I try this around my area (Philly) Eh, I'm slightly limited. Nearby school I can test this out and not worry of it smashing into a building.

Dude, thanks for just being yourself. Your videos let anyone know they can do this.
Nicely done. Now, I will try this at home.
I wish I found this video earlier as I was struggling to get the drone to follow my car. Now the modes make perfect sense!
Thank you for the taking the time to teach us. One of the best tutorials i've seen.
GREAT Tutorial.
thaks from Sydney, Australia.
And the footage ccame out great too, lesson learned: drve slow.
Great video, thank you so much. I actually like it in spotlight when you sped up and it is got behind you and sorta panned and showed more of where you where you were going...Cna't wait to try this tomorrow day 3 ...
Thanks for the cogent summary of all the different vehicle modes! It was handy to have them all visually demoed!
I appreciate the time and effort you put into editing your videos. I enjoy watching them!
Another great video. Thank you Dylan. I appreciate you taking the time to make them as I get so much out of them.

The obstacle avoidance is enabled during active track. It is only disabled while circling
Thanks for sharing this Dylan, I'll definitely try this as soon as possible with my new Mavic Pro!
Thanks. Just did my first flight, and first video. I am learning a lot from your videos.
Well done, Dylan. Your demonstrations and discussion made it very clear what happens and how each mode might be used. Kudos!
Thanks for the kind words Dennis!

Very well done Dylan! Very easy to understand and very well done, thank you! Please keep up your great videos!

Actually, the footage gets "cinematic" when you speed it up at 30 miles/h. Very nice!
Great job. This is how instructional video should be done. keep it up! thanks
At 100% when the drone lost you, that was a perfect clip ending and I love to learn to recreate purposely. Thanks for that

Hi Dylan, great video, as things change like the screens on the controllers, would you be able to find time to to an updated video as this one is about a year old now and the screens have changed. Thanks again, good job!!
I loved the previous video and this one as well.
Question: How did you edit these videos? I liked the change at the snapping of your fingers.
thanks for taking the time and make this video Dylan! I'm going to try it out, have you tried it with tracking people, in a semi crowed area? Just got mine Mavic few days ago.
Great job bud. I love quads and farms ! Liked and subscribed.

Actually, I kind of liked in Profile when you sped up and the gimbal transitioned to pan up to horizon...cool!
I went and watched that part after I read your comment. You are right, looks very cool and cinematic!
Yah, I can't wait to find a location to try this with my motor home!
I'll have someone driving it, while I pilot the Mavic.
Thanks for the tutorials!
PS; that shot needs to be in your Best Ofs.
Man, that'll be really cool!
Question: In Active Track mode will the Mavic lead the subject looking back and flying backwards?
I imagine quite slowly it will?
Thanks!
Dave
I learned alot,thanks
just enjoyable to watch
Loved it.
Nice video! well done to the point I enjoyed watching it... though I'm a Mav-Pro... nice refreshing, refresher... keep the vids coming. Cheers Gab
