- In this video I run through the complete teardown of a customers Mavic pro platinum and show you how to fix the most common problem on first generation Mavic's. The error displayed in the djigo4 app is "Gimbal Motor Overload". Usually the gimbal isn't overloaded its just the gimbal cable that has worn out and is so longer supplying power to the gimbal motors.

Great video. I've watched others that show installation of cable in reverse. I installed cable (it was physically broken) but still getting overload message. My question comes from that I'm noticing that the camera rotates side to side but there seems to be a limiter missing causing it to rotate too far to the right to the point where the video cable is folding over the cover. Any ideas on why that is happening?

@@HyperFliteDrones Thanks for the reply. It was the endpoint which I repaired by installing an external stop since I did not know how to take apart motor. Works now.

Check that the gimbal isn’t making contact with anything
I've replaced the gimbal cable and now I have no more video feed and the gimbal violently tries to calibrate and doesn't work. What can I do? Thanks!

Most likely an issue with a gimbal motor.
I am still getting the error code I think I might have installed in wrong or I got a bad ribbon sent to me. What do you recommend doing?

I replaced the ribbon cable two times now, but after flying it once successfully, the issue with the gimbal motor overload returned. Any idea what I can try next?
I would recommend getting it shipped and serviced.
